Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the Impact of the Safe Schools Initiative programme on the academic achievement of victims of insurgency in Secondary Schools in North-east, Nigeria. Method: This study adopted a descriptive and Ex-post facto survey design. A sample size of 365 male and female SS1 respondents were sampled for the study. The instrument that was used for this study was a self-structured questionnaire developed by the researcher titled Impact of Safe Schools Initiative programme on behaviours and academic achievement questionnaire (ISSIPBAC). The content validity of the questionnaire was done by lecturers from the university of Abuja and the two data from the pilot test was obtained and correlated using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (r), to see the similarities or differences of the scores. A reliability Coefficient of 0.87 was obtained. Thus, the instrument was reliable for the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed in data analysis, through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS version 25) was used to carry out the analysis of the research data. Findings: The findings revealed that the difference in the academic achievement of students under the Safe Schools Initiative programme in Secondary Schools in North East, Nigeria was more for male respondents than female respondents. The study also showed that the behaviour of students under the programme in Secondary Schools in North East, Nigeria was better in rural respondents than the urban centres. The result indicated that the academic achievement of the students varied as the age increased and the academic achievement of students under the Safe Schools Initiative programme in Secondary Schools in North East, Nigeria was more on urban respondents than the rural centres. Recommendations: Based on the findings, the paper hereby recommends that the age of these students should be considered in teaching. While students of lower ages were more affected by the insurgency in their academic achievement, others such as 16 years and above were less affected. The school counsellors should organize regular psychological checks on these students to make sure they have stable behavioural patterns.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of green economy behavior at SMAN 32 Jakarta. Flooding in Indonesia, exacerbated by plastic waste, highlights the need for environmental awareness. Using qualitative research and SWOT analysis, data were collected through observation and interviews with eight informants. The study employs IFAS and EFAS matrices to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Findings reveal successful implementation of green practices, such as using tumblers and waste sorting, supported by curriculum integration and teacher supervision. The recommended strategy for improvement is the SO (Strengths-Opportunities) strategy, aiming to embed green economy behavior in students' daily lives. This strategy leverages the school's strengths and opportunities for maximum impact.

Abstract

Climate change is becoming an increasingly extreme challenge faced globally. As a result, green growth is built on the principle of sustainable economic expansion, rather than economic development based on excessive exploitation of natural resources and the environment. The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of renewable energy, green trade, and green financing on green growth in ASEAN countries. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data which is analyzed using the multiple linear regression method, and hypothesis testing is carried out simultaneously and partially using E-Views 12. The results of the research show that renewable energy, green trade, and green financing have a partial and simultaneous effect on green growth.

Abstract

Treatment of canola genotypes (HC-10, KSM-75, C-05, WY-02, WY-01, HC-09, and SAWABI-C) with NaCl (0, 100 mM) and CaCl2(0, 100 mg/l) to find the stress tolerance genotype was investigated. In the current study, two types of salt stresses NaCl and CaCl2 were applied in a complete randomized design in Petri dishes and their combination, and the data was collected from chlorophyll contents. And growth parameters like shoot weight, root weight, and biomass. The findings of the study indicated that a significant difference was found in treatments of NaCl and CA for all the genotypes of canola in germination traits. The results revealed that HC-09 is lower affected by salt from calcium chloride and genotype HC-10 is less affected by NaCl stress. In chlorophyll content, the genotype HC-09 has higher results in chlorophyll a, b, a/b, and carotenoids on the application of both NaCl 100 mM/l and CaCl2 100 mg/l. It is concluded that the genotype HC-09 has been shown more tolerance in each stress and indicates higher values while the genotype HC-10 has also tolerance in some traits.

Abstract

The performance of public sector organisations can be evaluated by measuring both financial and non-financial aspects using the Balanced Scorecard method. The research method employed in this study is quantitative, utilising data collection techniques through literature review, observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The number of samples used was 100 individuals, with a sample size of 26. The data analysis employed in this study utilises Likert data obtained from observations in the field. The responses were then processed according to the respondents' answers through the use of questionnaires or surveys, using the Weight Mean Score (WMS) formula. The significance of this research lies in its potential to improve the services of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Cianjur Regency in terms of managing KTP-el to the community. This can be achieved by improving the quality of services provided and the facilities and infrastructure available. Ultimately, this will ensure that individuals do not experience any difficulties or inconveniences when accessing services related to population administration.

Abstract

The researcher wants to make a KWH meter monitoring tool with estimated usage costs so that the tools he makes can help the community to minimize costs in the electricity consumption area, especially in the workshop room located on the 1st floor of building C at Medan State Polytechnic. The long-term goal of this research is to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)--based KWH meter monitoring tool that can read current, voltage, frequency, power factor, and power consumption. This utilization shows the use of costs that have been incurred in real-time by displaying the results on the LCD and can also be from the user's mobile phone. In this study, the strategy used in the energy management framework was determined using SWOT analysis. From the results of the measurement and monitoring of electrical energy consumption obtained the results that, energy management is carried out by applying Standard Operating Procedures for the use of electrical energy in the electrical engineering workshop room in order to save more minimal energy consumption with a large error (Error) PZEM in measuring Voltage is 0.0198% in measuring Current is 0.612%. in measuring Cosphi is 0.01%. in measuring Frequency is 0.003%. in measuring Power is 0.183%. And the average measurement error rate is below 0.5%, namely 0.23%.

Abstract

In order for the designed tool to simulate solar panel measurements based on real-world conditions, the solar panel placement holder was arranged in a specific way during the design process. A monitor display that is mounted on the design will show the effectiveness of the solar panels and provide general solar panel information. Limitations in the positioning of solar panels will not provide a reference to conditions for measurement depending on the angle of incidence of the sun so further design needs to be done regarding the position of solar panels when measurements are taken. The development carried out in the design of this tool is in the form of adjusting the solar panel holder in the form of a solar panel holder tilt of 0°, 90°, 180°, and a distance of 30 cm halogen lamp as an energy source that is measured. Measurement results based on design, temperature 46°C, and 100% light.

Abstract

Researchers want to make a kWh meter monitoring tool with estimated usage costs so that the tools made can help people to minimize costs in electricity usage. The purpose of this research is the creation of an IoT-based kWh meter monitoring tool that has the ability to read current, voltage, frequency, power factor and power usage that flows and shows the use of costs that have been used in real time with the display results on the LCD and also on the user's smartphone. In the reading results of usage costs (Rp) on the tool and PLN there is also a difference of Rp. 12,000, where the reading results on the tool are also lower than the results of the payment slip provided by PLN. The cost reading error rate on the tool is 4.4% with a reading accuracy rate of 95.6%.
