JIPI (Jurnal IPA dan Pembelajaran IPA)
JIPI (Jurnal IPA dan Pembelajaran IPA) aims to serve original articles on the latest issues and trends in high-quality research focused on technology-integrated science and/or science learning (chemistry, biology, physics, and environment). Technology integration includes learning media, curriculum, assessment processes and science learning outcomes, as well as the application of the latest technology in pure science research. The editors welcome submissions of papers on recent theoretical and experimental research related to: Results of theoretical and empirical research studies on science learning with integrated technology. We invite manuscripts that investigate science learning with the integration of web-based technology, Android, Arduino, nanotechnology, virtual labs, technological and pedagogical content knowledge research, STEM and/or STEAM, sociological issues, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other relevant issues. relevant to science learning. The results of research on the application of science learning media which focuses on studies related to the latest trends in the use of technology-based science learning media at all levels of education and in society. The results of research related to the implementation of the science learning curriculum (chemistry, biology and physics) have contributed to developing the latest trends in the implementation of the science learning curriculum with the integration of technology at all levels of education including science learning design, competency analysis and syllabus. The results of research related to the assessment of science learning processes and outcomes contribute to developing the latest trends in technology-integrated science learning assessment at all levels of education. The results of research related to science teacher education include original theoretical and empirical studies, including professional preparation of teachers, implementation of their work, and/or career development based on the latest technology. Research results related to technology-based science learning in everyday life outside the formal classroom. Papers should examine experiences in environments such as the community, home, internet, museums, and other aspects that develop interest, knowledge, and/or application of science. Science learning that emphasizes attention to aspects of problems and factors related to equality. Research results related to pure science research that is currently trending (chemistry, physics, biology and the environment).

The aim of this study was to develop the science learning media by using powtoon-based animated video that can be valid, practical and effective in order to build the students’ critical thingking in SMP Negeri 12 Jember. This study applied the ADDIE model that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation method. The data used in this study was based on the research instruments including validation sheets, learning implementation sheets, questionnaires, and tests of students’ critical thingking. The research subjects were consist of 31 students of Class VIIIB at SMP Negeri 12 Jember. The result of this study showed that first the animated video has 90% validity score by the expert. Furthermore, this animation videos had 3.87 average of practicallity which can be categorized as practical and was carried out very clearly. For the effectiveness of the animated video achieved an N-gain of 0.92 that can be classified as high category. Finally, for the students’ respon from the questionnaires showed that 92% was categorized as very good. Based on the result can be concluded that the development of Powtoon-based animated video was effective in improving the students’ critical thingking

Lesson study is an activity carried out collaboratively by teachers in planning a creative, effective and communicative learning process so that the desired learning objectives can be achieved. Student learning activities in learning science are observed using a scientific approach that is the ability of students to observe objects, submit questions, gather information, associate and communicate learning materials. The purpose of this study is to determined the increase in student learning activities in science learning through lesson study in MIN 3 Langsa and MIN 2 Aceh Tamiang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. The sample of this study consisted of 60 fifth grade students from 30 MIN 3 Langsa students and 30 MIN 2 Aceh Tamiang students. The sampling technique used by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation sheets totaling 15 items consisting of 5 indicators of learning activities. Data were analyzed by comparing the average score of each item with the maximum score using the percentage formula. The results showed an increase in student learning activities in science learning in both Madrasah Ibtidaiyah namely 32.98% MIN 2 Aceh Tamiang and 42.16% MIN 3 Langsa. Thus it can be concluded that student learning activities in science learning can be improved through lesson study

he less qualified presentation of content on a learning media will affect students’ perceptions.The aim of this study is to obtain students’ perceptions toward Prezi using in a science learning. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The data were collected by perception questionnaire sheets to 20 students in class VIII-E of SMPN 9 Banjarmasin. The results showed that the students’ perceptions are categorized as positive, as follows 40% of them have the perceived ease of use, 50% of them have the perceived usefulness, 60% of them have the attitude of use and 45% of them have intention of use. Thus, students have believed that Prezi is easy and useful for the science learning as well as accepted if it re-apply to other topics. The results canbe considered to test a hypothesis toward the effect of each perception’s aspect in the future study

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Animasi pada Materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Nonelektrolit terhadap Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Siswa Kelas X di SMAN 1 Unggul Seulimeum Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kemampuan berfikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa setelah menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan media animasi. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain kelompok tunggal pretest dan posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Unggul Seulimeum, sedangkan sampel penelitian diambil siswa kelas X-2 berjumlah 20 orang secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes tertulis yang terdiri dari pretest, posttest, LKS, dan lembar observasi kegiatan siswa. Data observasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik persentase sedangkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji-t menggunakan program SPSS20. Persentase aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai rata-rata 85% yang termasuk pada kategori baik sekali dan hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis dari hasil uji-t diperoleh Nilai sig sebesar 0,000 0.05. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan terjadi penerimaan H1, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media animasi pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Unggul Seulimeum Aceh Besar.

The implementation of learning has undergone significant changes due to the corona virus (Covid-19) spreading rapidly so that the teaching and learning process at various levels of education is generally carried out online. This urges lecturers to adapt teaching materials to online learning systems, especially subject topics that require laboratory activities. This study aims to develop an e-module for basic chemistry practice courses not only containing material and quizzes but also integrates practical video tutorials in each of its sub-topics. The research method used is research and development (RD) by applying the ADDIE model. Research respondents were 58 students of the Physics Education FKIP USK wenrolled in basic chemistry practice courses in their first-year study in the 2019-2020. The research data were collected using instruments in the form of students’ responses to the questionnaire on 1) the e-module, and 2) the application of e-modules in basic chemistry laboratory courses. The questionnaires were distributed via Google form to avoid physical contact and comply with health protocols. Prior to distribution, the questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability using the Cronbach's alpha test and analyzed with SPSS version 12 (IDMTM). The results of the validation show that the mean value of validation is 91.48% for the display, content, grammar, and evaluation system items. Cronbach's alpha test shows a mean alpha value of 0.903. The results of the response questionnaire showed that the average response score was greater than 8.00 for each questionnaire item, while the mean score for the application of the e-module laboratory courses was 8.88. This shows that the e-module for basic chemistry lab work is favorable and suitable for use as teaching material in the online learning process.

Literasi sains siswa Indonesia masih rendah dan buku yang selama ini digunakan belum melatih siswa untuk memahami hakekat sains. Oleh karena itu, literasi sains siswa perlu ditingkatkan melalui bahan ajar yang menyajikan fenomena alam dan permasalahan yang terjadi di sekitar siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar bermuatan konteks kelautan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dengan metode four step material teaching development. Efektivitas bahan ajar bermuatan konteks kelautan terhadap peningkatan literasi sains siswa dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest literasi sains kepada 30 siswa kelas VII SMP Agribinta Kabupaten Cianjur. Pengumpulan data menggunakan: 1) lembar validasi ahli untuk menentukan kelayakan bahan ajar; 2) tes keterpahaman untuk menentukan pemahaman siswa terhadap bahan ajar; 3) tes literasi sains untuk menentukan literasi sains siswa, dan 4) angket untuk menjaring sikap siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Data pretest dan posttest dihitung N-gain kemudian dikategorisasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) hasil validasi ahli diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,85, 2) bahan ajar bermuatan konteks kelautan dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dengan rata-rata hasil pretest sebesar 32,00; posttest sebesar 60,70; N-gain sebesar 42,11% (kategori sedang), serta 3) sikap sains siswa termasuk kategori tinggi.

Critical thinking skills and sustainability consciousness are competencies that students need to have to face the challenges of the 21st century and can be developed through appropriate learning activities and teaching materials. Unfortunately, teachers do not have the right guidelines and teaching materials to implement learning activities that develop those competencies. This study aims to develop science teaching materials with the PjBL-STEM learning model and education for sustainable development (ESD) approach on environmental pollution material to enhance critical thinking skill and sustainability consciousness of junior high school student in class VII. The teaching materials developed in this study are Lesson Plans, Worksheets, and assessment for critical thinking skill and sustainability consciousness. The research method used in developing the product is research and development (R D). While the RD research model used is the four-D development model. The four-D development model has several stage, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study solely reached the development stage. The feasibility test was carried out by the experts. The data were analized using percentage of the product eligibility in the validation form. Based on the results of the feasibility validation, the critical thinking skill asessment validation received a percentage value of 85% with very feasible criteria and sustainability consciousness asessment validation received a percentage value of 97% with very feasible criteria. The finding of the research indicate that the teaching material developed is valid and eligible to use.

Abstrak. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian tentang Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran ICT sebagai Kegiatan Pembelajaran Siswa di SMP Negeri Aceh Tamiang adalah Untuk mengetahui perbedaan dalam pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran ICT. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yaitu True Experimental Design Sampel penelitian berjumlah siswa sebanyak 44 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen tes. Instrumen tes berupa tes kemampuan kognitif siswa (hasil belajar ) mata pelajaran IPA. Adapun teknik analisis data yaitu dilakukan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji beda, uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini adalah nilai 72,60 yang dimanfaatkan pada SMP Negeri 1 Manyak Panyed sedangkan nilai 66,92 yang dimanfaatkan pada SMP Negeri 2 Karang Baru. Adapun kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan media pembelajaran ICT, sering dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Manyak Panyed dari pada SMP Negeri 2 Karang Baru.Kata Kunci: Pemanfaatan, Media ICT, Pembelajaran IPA.

Currently, there are already many countries that have revised their science curricula to be sure effective science learning environments. Blessing in this revision, socioscientific issues are integrated into the curriculum. Their presence has brought about the need to know what socioscientific environmental problems exist. The research conducted aims to describe the perceptions of junior high school science teachers regarding the use of socioscientific issues in science learning at SMP Tanjung Sakti PUMI and Tanjung Sakti PUMU districts. In this descriptive quantitative study, data were collected using 15 items of statements with a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The research subjects were seventeen science teachers from Tanjung Sakti Public Middle School 1 PUMI, Tanjung Sakti Public Middle School 2 PUMI, Tanjung Sakti Public Middle School 3 PUMI, Tanjung Sakti Public Middle School 4 PUMI, Tanjung Sakti Public Middle School 1 PUMU, Tanjung Sakti Middle School 2 PUMU, Middle School Mumammadiyah Batu Rancing, SMP PUMI Xaverius Tanjung Sakti. The study results show that science teachers have very positive perceptions or agree to use socioscientific issues in science learning. This study shows that science teachers' perceptions about socioscientific issues are well received, and the use of socioscientific issues is very impressive in the science learning process.

Abstrak. Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari nilai ujian akhir semester, hal ini disebabkan target waktu untuk mencapai isi pembelajaran dan keterbatasan guru dalam mengolah pembelajaran khususnya ketika ada materi yang menyangkut dengan praktikum seperti halnya materi hidrolisis garam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode quasi eksperimental dengan pretest-posttest group design yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 12 Banda Aceh tahun akademik 2015/2016, yang terdiri masing-masing 25 siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 3 (dua) instrumen; 1) Tes untuk melihat peningkatan KPS siswa pada pokok bahasan hidrolisis garam; 2) Angket motivasi untuk melihat peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa; dan 3) Angket respon untuk melihat tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan menggunakan metode praktikum. Uji normalitas dilakukan untuk melihat kenormalan data dan menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan metode praktikum dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan proses sain siswa dalam belajar kimia. Hal ini dapat dilihat tingginya perolehan skor N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas kontrol; 2) pembelajaran pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan metode praktikum dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam belajar kimia; 3) Respon siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan metode praktikum pada pokok bahasan hidrolisis garam mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa. Low student learning outcomes seen from the final exams, and this is the target date for achieving the learning content and limitations of the teachers in the process of learning, especially when there is material pertaining to the lab as well as the material salt hydrolysis. This research was conducted by quasi experimental method with a pretest-posttest group design conducted at SMAN 12 Banda Aceh academic year 2015/2016, which consists of 25 students in the experimental class and same as the control class. The data collection is done with three instruments; 1) Tests to see an increase in KPS students on the subject of salt hydrolysis; 2) Questionnaire motivation to see an increase in student motivation; and 3) Questionnaire responses to see the students' of the problem based learning using practical methods. Normality test is done to see the normality of data and shows that the normal distribution of data. The results showed that 1) the problem-based learning using practical methods can affect science process skills of students in learning chemistry. This can be seen high score of N-Gain acquisition of the experimental class compared to conventional classroom learning application control; 2) learning problem-based learning using practical methods may increase students' motivation to learn chemistry; 3) The response of students to the application of problem-based learning using practical methods on the topic of salt hydrolysis get a positive response from students.
