JIPI (Jurnal IPA dan Pembelajaran IPA) aims to serve original articles on the latest issues and trends in high-quality research focused on technology-integrated science and/or science learning (chemistry, biology, physics, and environment). Technology integration includes learning media, curriculum, assessment processes and science learning outcomes, as well as the application of the latest technology in pure science research. The editors welcome submissions of papers on recent theoretical and experimental research related to: Results of theoretical and empirical research studies on science learning with integrated technology. We invite manuscripts that investigate science learning with the integration of web-based technology, Android, Arduino, nanotechnology, virtual labs, technological and pedagogical content knowledge research, STEM and/or STEAM, sociological issues, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other relevant issues. relevant to science learning. The results of research on the application of science learning media which focuses on studies related to the latest trends in the use of technology-based science learning media at all levels of education and in society. The results of research related to the implementation of the science learning curriculum (chemistry, biology and physics) have contributed to developing the latest trends in the implementation of the science learning curriculum with the integration of technology at all levels of education including science learning design, competency analysis and syllabus. The results of research related to the assessment of science learning processes and outcomes contribute to developing the latest trends in technology-integrated science learning assessment at all levels of education. The results of research related to science teacher education include original theoretical and empirical studies, including professional preparation of teachers, implementation of their work, and/or career development based on the latest technology. Research results related to technology-based science learning in everyday life outside the formal classroom. Papers should examine experiences in environments such as the community, home, internet, museums, and other aspects that develop interest, knowledge, and/or application of science. Science learning that emphasizes attention to aspects of problems and factors related to equality. Research results related to pure science research that is currently trending (chemistry, physics, biology and the environment).

Abstract

The evaluation process at SMP Kesatrian 1 Semarang based on the results of observations cannot be used to measure analytical skills of the students. Based on observation, the average analytical ability of students still at low criteria. The purpose of this research is to measure analytical skillsof the students using Quizizz application with STEM approach. This is a pre-experimental research with one shoot case study design. Population of this research is all students of grade 8 Kesatrian 1Junior high school of Semarang Central Javain the 2019/2020 school year. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling with a sample of 30 students. The instrument used in this researchare analytical skills test of students using Quizizz application with STEM approach and questionnaire of students response about Quizizz as evaluation tool. Students are attending the lesson according to the lesson plan and are evaluated at the end of the lesson using the online Quizizz application as evaluation tool with a STEM approach. The result of test is quantitative data that analyzed descriptively. The results indicated the profile of analytical skills of the studentsare of 6.67%in the high criteria, 73.33% inmoderate criteria and 20% in low criteria. It can be concluded that the average analytical skills of the students at Kesatrian 1 junior high school of Semarang is in moderate criteria.Finally, the research provides teacher recommendations to applying Quizizz application with STEM approach to measure analytical skills of the students in early learning environments

Abstract

 A disaster often causes survivors to be in a more vulnerable position than before. In the 2016 Pidie Jaya earthquake, five villages experienced a directed impact from the disaster. This study aims to determine the level of social vulnerability and to analyze the dynamics of changes in social vulnerability at the Trienggadeng District level, Pidie Jaya Regency in the period 2015-2021. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The data used in this study include secondary data and primary data. Respondents in this study amounted to 98 people from communities in five villages in Trienggadeng District. The results of secondary data study show that the value of social vulnerability in the period 2015-2021 which consists of aspects of population density, sex ratio, vulnerable age, poor population, and vulnerability is in the range (54.38-267.71) where Tampui Village into the high class category with a value of (267.71). Meanwhile four other villages fall into the low class category, such as: Kuta Pangwa Village (54.38), Meucat Pangwa (71.09), Mee Pangwa (84.03) and Deah Teumanah (99.95). The aspects identified as triggers for social vulnerability in this study include: poverty rates in Mee Pangwa and Deah Teumanah Villages, solid waste management in all study villages, and population density in Tampui Village. Furthermore, an analysis of primary data shows that there has been an increase in quality and quantity in aspects of sanitation and access to health in the period 2016-2021.

Abstract

 Abstrak. Kualitas udara sangat harus diperhatikan bagi setiap makhluk hidup. Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat membuat kualitas udara menurun salah satunya mikroorganisme. Mikroorganisme udara bisa disebabkan akibat banyaknya aktivitas manusia dan kondisi fisik dari lingkungan tersebut Fakultas Tarbiyah dan faktor tersebut Masalah dalam ini (1) Bagaimana morfologi koloni bakteri udara di lingkungan Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris Institut Agama Islam Negeri Bengkulu?; (2) Bagaimana pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap morfologi koloni bakteri udara di lingkungan Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris Institut Agama Islam Negeri Bengkulu? Tujuan penelitian ini: (1) Untuk mengetahui morfologi koloni bakteri udara di lingkungan Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris Institut Agama Islam Negeri Bengkulu; (2) Untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap morfologi koloni bakteri udara di lingkungan Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris Institut Agama Islam Negeri Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian diketahui: (1) 15 jenis koloni bakteri udara pada ruang berAC, kemudian 8 jenis koloni bakteri udara pada ruang non AC, dan 11 jenis koloni bakteri udara pada ruang terbuka dengan ciri-ciri koloni yang berbeda-beda

Abstract

Salinity is the amount of salt contained or dissolved in water or soil. Salinity can cause the change of physical characteristics of soil, especially in coastal area, that affects human daily activities, including agriculture. Baitussalam District (Kecamatan Baitussalam) is one of the districts that was hit most devastatingly by the Indian Ocean Tsunami 2004 as well as has large population with potential agricultural prospect in Aceh Besar Region (Kabupaten Aceh Besar). This research aims to identify the soil salinity level in the Baitussalam District. The sampling technique uses descriptive methodology with scalable quantitative approach in the chosen sampling areas. 26 sampling spots have been chosen according to mathematical calculation. Quantitative method is used to analyze the result in this research. Furthermore, conductivity measurement is done through induction electromagnetic method, using Geonics EM38 and to identify the soil salinity level, analysis of soil texture is conducted in the laboratory. As the result, the electrical conductivity measurement shows varying values. The minimum conductivity value is 0,004 dS/m, taken at spot T 004 in Lam Ujong Village (Desa Lam Ujong). Whereas the maximum conductivity value reaches 10,31 dS/m, taken at spot T 003 in Labuy Village. The soil salinity in the 26 sampling spots in Baitussalam District demonstrates an average level, with a value of ECa 2-4 dS/m. The result of this research is expected to be a parameter to control and develop the activities, especially for agricultural activities, in the coastal area in Aceh Besar Region, and in Baitussalam district in particular.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that must be possessed by human resources in the 21st century. In fact, the critical thinking skills of science education students have not been properly empowered. The design of this research is quasi-experimental research. The research population used was all Science Education students at IAIN Kediri. The sample used in this study were two classes of Batch 2022, namely class A and class B. Data collection was carried out using a pretest and posttest to measure critical thinking skills, process portfolio assessment, observation of student attitudes and skills learning outcomes. The results showed that there was a positive effect from the implementation of the process portfolio assessment on students' critical thinking skills and biology learning outcomes. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the application of process portfolio assessment in the guided inquiry model causes higher critical thinking skills and student biology learning outcomes

Abstract

Needs analysis becomes an empirical basis for developing research. Data and studies are produced from a complete needs analysis in producing the right product. In this study the analysis was conducted as a preliminary study to reveal the needs of stake holders for CTL-based videos for fluid material. Applied survey research methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research objects related to student characteristics, learning resources, teaching materials and learning media. Quantitative and qualitative data collection procedures use questionnaire and interview instruments. Technical analysis of quantitative dataprocess and categorize data while qualitative data reduces, presents and verifies data. Obtained the results of student characteristics are good, but the aspect of interest shows the lowest value, especially solving and finding solutions to problems of daily life. The media teachers use to teach fluids are powerpoints, images and videos. Learning resources are only textbooks equipped with teaching materials in the form of encyclopedias, modules and worksheets that contain a collection of questions that do not provide experience in solving everyday problems. These findings indicate that the cause of the lack of student interest in solving everyday problems and the low student learning outcomes is that learning media is not in accordance with needs. Media is needed that can facilitate students solving everyday problems. Fluid material that has many daily applications, media needed in the form of CTL-based video. Besides CTL-based videos can display phenomena in full, videos can also develop students' higher-order thinking skills by thoroughly analyzing the phenomena that are displayed

Abstract

In learning management and laboratory techniques, only explaining using power point media and giving assignments so that students do not understand the material presented. Therefore, it is necessary to have teaching materials such as student worksheets based on science, environment, technology, society (SETS). This study aims to produce valid, practical and effective media. Validity was measured from the material aspect and the media aspect using a validation sheet, practicality was measured using a student response questionnaire. While the effectiveness is measured from the value after using the LKS or posttest scores. This type of research is research and development with a thiagarajan device model, namely a 4D model that has been modified into 3D. The results of the analysis show that SETS-based worksheets with validity values of 85% and 88.75% are categorized as very valid. The results of the practicality test in the limited trial of 86.4% and the main trial of 88.02% were categorized as very practical. The results of the effectiveness test with the posttest recapitulation value in the limited trial of 78.3% and the main trial of 82.5%. Thus, SETS-based worksheets are suitable for use in the teaching and learning process on management materials and laboratory techniques

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains yang masih didominansi guru dengan metode ceramah yang cenderung terbatas pada aspek hafalan sehingga kurang melibatkan aktivitas siswa melakukan kerja ilmiah, akibatnya siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep fisika dan berdampak pada minat belajar siswa yang rendah. Untuk dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, guru perlu mengubah metode mengajar yang memungkinkan siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan lebih membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep fisika sehingga mencapai hasil belajar yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi fluida statis dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan KPS siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen research dengan non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XMIA1 (eksperimen) dan kelas XMIA3 (kontrol) yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes KPS berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda dan angket respon siswa berisi 10 pertanyaan. Analisis data menggunakan perhitungan N-gain dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan KPS dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi fluida statis setelah penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing dengan pretest 43,4%, posttest 71,6% dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 49%. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing sangat baik, yaitu 95% dengan kategori sangat tertarik, karena model ini berkaitan dengan kehidupan nyata, sehingga siswa berperan aktif dalam setiap proses pembelajaran dengan cara menemukan dan menggali sendiri materi pelajaran.

Abstract

The online learning process creates problems that the practicum cannot be carried out during the online learning process. This problem has an impact on the decline in the level of understanding of students' scientific concepts and process skills. Researchers used a PhET-based STEM approach to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the PhET-based STEM approach in improving students' conceptual understanding of physics subjects at SMA N 5 Banda Aceh. Data collection for this study was conducted in March. Analysis of the data used is a statistical test that is independent-t test. The results show that the use of the PhET-based STEM approach has a very positive impact on improving the understanding of physics concepts that are tested through objective tests. The results of the variable understanding of the concept can be seen from the N-Gain. In the concept understanding variable, the experimental class got a gain value of 0.6 and the control class was 0.5. Both fall into the medium category. So it can be concluded that the PhET-based STEM approach can improve students' conceptual understanding in physics.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi rangkaian arus searah dan hukum Archimedes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Eksperimen, dan desain penelitian adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MAN Meulaboh 1 yang terdiri dari lima kelas setiap kelas berjumlah 36 siswa, dan kelompok sampel ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling sehingga diperoleh dua kelas yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Hasil analisis data keterampilan proses sains siswa pada kelas eksperimen untuk indikator perencanaan percobaan yaitu 0,88 lebih tinggi dibanding indikator perencanaan percobaan pada kelas kontrol yaitu 0,71. Hal ini dikarenakan sebelum melakukan percobaan siswa diminta untuk mengumpulkan berbagai informasi yang berkaitan dengan percobaan yang akan dilakukan. Tahap mengumpulkan informasi tersebut termasuk salah satu tahapan dalam pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil penilaian KPS saat pelaksanaan praktikum menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen indikator menentukan tujuan percobaan sebesar 88,19% lebih tinggi dibanding indikator menentukan tujuan percobaan di kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 74,13%. Hal ini disebabkan siswa siswa terlebih dahulu telah mengumpulkan informasi mengenai percobaan yan akan dilakukan.Kata Kunci: Inkuiri terbimbing, KPS, rangkaian arus searah, hukum Archimedes. Abstract. This research aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning to improve student science process skills (SPS) on the material of  direct current circuit and the Archimedes law. This research was experiment method and design studies is Pretest – posttest control group design. The research population is students of class XI in MAN Meulaboh 1 consists of five class which 36 students each class, and sample group were determined byrandom sampling technique so that two class is taken as the sample. Results of SPS test in the experimental class, indicator of plannned experiments is 0,88 higher than control class is 0,71. That caused before starting the experiment they have to collect all information about the experiment. The collect information stage is one of the guided inquiry stages. Results of SPS assessment when experimenting shown that the indicator of purpose specify in experiment class is 88,19% higher than control class is 74,13%. That caused before starting the experiment they have to collect all information about the experiment.Keywords: guided inquiry, science process skills, Archimedes law.
