Abstract

Family Psychodynamics is a counseling approach that focuses on understanding the psychological dynamics in family relationships, especially conflicts and tensions arising from past experiences, with the aim of understanding relationship patterns, resolving conflicts, and improving relationships. This research uses a literature study approach. Literature study is a required activity in research, which aims to develop theoretical and practical aspects. The results of the study show that the three family counseling approaches can be applied in the Indonesian context to help families overcome problems and improve harmony. For example, family psychodynamics can help Indonesian families overcome conflicts arising from past experiences, such as rapid social and cultural changes. Behavioral counseling can help Indonesian families overcome behavioral problems in children and adolescents, such as juvenile delinquency. Structural family approach can help Indonesian families understand and overcome problems related to the roles and functions of family members in the context of Indonesian culture and tradition.

Abstract

The advancement of 21st-century education demands a paradigm shift in teaching practices, including the transformation of teachers' roles from content deliverers to active facilitators. This study aims to describe the transformation of teachers' roles as facilitators in deep learning-based classroom instruction, particularly at MTs N 1 Rembang di Provinsi Jawa Tengahin Central Java Province. Addressing the persistent dominance of conventional teaching methods, this research explores how teachers transition into active facilitators who encourage student exploration, reflection, and independent learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that teachers have begun to implement contextual, interactive, and project-based learning while utilizing educational technology and formative assessment strategies. Three primary facilitator roles of teachers in deep learning contexts were identified: as motivators of learning, connectors to relevant learning resources, and assessors of students’ learning processes. This transformation encourages students to become active agents in constructing meaningful and life-relevant knowledge. Institutional support and ongoing professional development are essential to help teachers fully optimize their facilitative roles.

Abstract

This research was conducted by students to examine the melting process as a form of change in state from a solid to a liquid through a simple experiment. The purpose of this study was to observe and understand how a solid, in this case, wax, undergoes a change from a solid to a liquid due to heat exposure. The method used was a direct experiment by heating wax in three varying volumes: 5 ml, 10 ml, and 15 ml, on a metal spoon placed over a flame. The results showed that the larger the volume of wax, the longer it took to melt. The 5 ml wax melted in 5 minutes, while the 15 ml wax took up to 11 minutes. This finding indicates a relationship between the amount of substance and the melting time, which is closely related to the heat energy received. This research confirms that melting is a reversible form of physical change, without changing the chemical structure of the substance. Through the students' experimental implementation, this study also demonstrated the effectiveness of a direct approach in strengthening understanding of basic science concepts and practicing scientific skills such as systematic observation, analysis, and inference about natural phenomena.

Abstract

This study aims to describe clearly and comprehensively the significant role of Walisongo in the Islamisation process in Java, particularly through peaceful methods of proselytising that were well received by the community. This study uses a literature review method, collecting data from various sources, such as history books, scientific journals and writings by historians on the proselytising of Walisongo. The results of the study indicate that the Walisongo successfully spread Islam through cultural, educational, and political approaches without violence. They utilised various media such as mosques, Islamic boarding schools, wayang (shadow puppet theatre), tembang (traditional songs), and gamelan (traditional music) to convey Islamic teachings, and applied gentle da'wah methods such as hikmah (wisdom), mauidzah hasanah (good advice), and al-jidal ahsan (the best form of debate). The saints, such as Sunan Gresik, Sunan Ampel, Sunan Kalijaga, and Sunan Gunung Jati, had different yet complementary missionary strategies, whether through formal education in Islamic boarding schools, social outreach, or spiritual and local cultural approaches. Their success was also supported by their proximity to political power, such as the Majapahit Kingdom and the Demak Sultanate. The cultivation of strong faith, the peaceful establishment of Islamic law, and the development of societal ethics formed the foundation of the Walisongo's missionary success. This success established the Walisongo as central figures in building a peaceful Islamic civilisation in the archipelago, deeply rooted in local cultural traditions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of delivering Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) material effectively and engagingly, particularly on the topic of hazardous substances in food at the elementary school level. Many students have difficulty understanding this material due to its abstract nature and direct link to health. The main problem in this study is students' low understanding of the dangers of using additives and hazardous chemicals in food. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using learning media in improving students' understanding of this material. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection instruments. The results showed that the use of visual and digital learning media, such as videos, interactive images, and infographics, can significantly improve students' understanding and learning interest. Students became more active and were able to identify the types of hazardous substances commonly found in food. Based on these results, it is recommended that teachers consistently use innovative, engaging learning media that are appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students, and that they be trained in their development and implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic processes of Mount Merapi's eruption through a simple simulation using readily available materials, such as baking soda, vinegar, and liquid soap. This simulation is conducted in the form of a lab experiment to help students understand how gas pressure in the "earth's bowels" can cause a volcanic eruption. In the experiment, the reaction between baking soda and vinegar produces carbon dioxide gas, which creates pressure that pushes the liquid mixture outward, resembling lava. Observations show that the eruption began 2.21 seconds after the ingredients were mixed, the jet reached a height of 2.8 meters, and lasted for about 4 minutes. This simulation provides a simple yet effective illustration of the eruption mechanism and can be a fun and relevant contextual learning tool. Through this activity, students not only learn scientific concepts but also practice observation and critical thinking skills. This lab also fosters awareness of the importance of disaster preparedness. The simplicity of the tools and materials makes this experiment easy to perform in any learning environment. The results obtained are quite representative in describing the process of pressure and gas release that occurs in volcanic eruptions. Therefore, this activity is highly recommended as an interactive learning medium in science subjects.

Abstract

This research explores the invisible interactions that shape plant life, focusing on mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. Mutualism demonstrates a beneficial relationship, such as mycorrhizal fungi that aid in nutrient absorption for plants. Commensalism, on the other hand, illustrates one party benefiting without harming or benefiting the other party, for example, epiphytic orchids that rely on trees. Finally, parasitism discusses a relationship where one organism benefits at the expense of the host, such as dodder that extracts nutrients from other plants. Understanding these three forms of symbiosis is crucial to uncovering the ecological complexity of plants and their role in maintaining ecosystem balance. This study highlights the vital nature of these hidden interactions for the survival and evolution of plant species.
