Abstract

Objective: Pancasila is extracted from the cultural treasures of the Indonesian nation itself, from the results of long and continuous interactions with various elements of the Indonesian nation which are diverse and of various colors, with various accompanying situations. Method: The noble values of Pancasila are excavations and filters of customary elements that exist and are spread throughout the archipelago. That is why Pancasila is very suitable to be used as a guideline and way of life, a guide for the life of the Indonesian people, more than any other philosophy that has ever appeared, was born and tested in the history of the Indonesian nation. Result: Materially Pancasila has fundamental values which are the crystallization of various local wisdoms. This proves that the noble basic values of Pancasila, among others, can be extracted from the Minangkabau customary sayings, which are sources and treasure troves of pearls of wisdom that contain very deep meanings. Novelty: The philosophy contained in the expression of the Minangkabau customary saying and the values of Pancasila, at least the two go hand in hand and synergize with each other in providing a philosophical basis for the life of the Indonesian nation. Efforts and strategies for institutionalizing Pancasila values based on local wisdom values must always be carried out in parallel and synergistic ways.

Abstract

Objective: This study analyzes the comparison of the effectiveness of the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model and the Expository model in improving mathematical problem solving skills. The fundamental problem in learning mathematics often lies in the low skills of students in solving problems. The PBI approach is based on active learning through real problems, while the Expository model emphasizes the direct delivery of information by the teacher. Method: This study used a comparison experimental design between two treatment groups. The instrument used was a test of mathematical problem solving skills in the form of descriptions. Result: The analysis showed that there was a significant difference in mathematics problem solving ability between the group of students taught with PBI and the group taught with the Expository model. Specifically, the group using PBI showed a higher average problem solving ability than the Expository group. Novelty: This finding indicates that the Problem Based Instruction model is potentially more effective in developing mathematical problem solving skills.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving the quality of Islamic education at Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) in Jambi Province. The background of this study rests on the need for integrated quality management in Islamic educational institutions, along with the increasing demands for the quality of professional and spiritual value-based educational services. Method: This research used a qualitative approach with a multicluster case study design on three SITs that were purposively selected. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, presentation, and verification. Results: The results show that the main principles of TQM, such as total involvement, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction orientation have begun to be internalized in school management. School principals play a central role in promoting a culture of quality, although there are still challenges in quality documentation, understanding internal customers, and limited human resource development. Novelty: An important finding of this study is the integration of TQM principles with Islamic values contextually applied in SIT management culture. This study provides theoretical contributions in the development of a spiritual-based TQM framework, as well as practical recommendations to strengthen quality assurance systems in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of teacher competency development policies in both Indonesia and Malaysia and identify challenges and supporting factors for their implementation. Method: The method used is a literature review, analyzing policy documents, scientific journals, and official reports. Results: The results indicate that Indonesia emphasizes a decentralized approach through the Merdeka Belajar program and teacher certification, but still faces challenges in access to training and quality equity. Meanwhile, Malaysia implements a centralized approach through the Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) and the Program Pembangunan Profesional Berterusan (CPD), with systematic support for technology integration. Both countries face similar challenges, such as infrastructure limitations in remote areas. Novelty: This study recommends strengthening regional cooperation, exchanging best practices, and increasing policy flexibility to address local needs.

Abstract

Objective:  This article focuses on the intersections between memory, trauma, and story in a hybrid novel that interlaces fiction with first-hand reportage and history, K.'s - Relato de uma busca. The piece narrates the short life of a young woman, as much as the Brazilian dictatorship (1964-1985), and I’m interested in how this relation between fragments and subjectivity constitutes an ethics to think dictatorship. It tells the story of a father who never stops looking for his daughter, who disappears without a goodbye. But it is also a lament and a cultural intervention in public and private memory. This present study belongs to the broader literary tradition of testimonial fiction, and also to a desire to ‘play’ narrated forms capable of “recuperating erased histories” (Hutcheon). Method: The analysis tries to observe how Kucinski creates a literary space where trauma and lack are shown with compassion. Adopting a qualitative research method of textual analysis, the essay will explore structure, voice, temporal dislocation, and the role and making of fictional documents in the novel. These approaches are based on trauma theory and narratology, which show how fragmentation, second-person address and polyphony are results of a contested experience of political violence. Results: The evidence I have presented above suggests that the fragmentation of the plot as well as the chronological sequence, show how the memories, unintelligible, left by historical moments, twisted man’s faculty of instantly recalling the past in his head; but the range of evidence of the thematic convention to the fact of achievement in artwork is to be direct. Polyphonic voice is the text that we match up lines against received history and rattles its foundation. Absence isn't indicative of an absence at all but represents independent memories that are worthy to be ethical witnesses. Novelty: The study therefore concludes that K. is both a testimony and a form of resistance turning silence into a politically and emotionally saturated liter¬ary presence. It highlights the significance of narratives to the maintenance of collective memory in post-authoritarian situations.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyse the implementation of walkthrough supervision as a collaborative supervision strategy in improving the quality of learning practices at junior and senior high school levels. Method: This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with principals, teachers and supervisors, and analysis of supervision documents. The analysis process was conducted thematically to identify implementation patterns, challenges, and improvement strategies that emerged from the practice of walkthrough supervision in improving the quality of learning practices at the junior and senior high school levels at Yayasan Nurul Fikri Bina Generasi Bogor.  Results:  The results showed that walkthrough supervision in junior and senior high school of NFBS Bogor is implemented systematically through five stages by emphasising learning authenticity, continuous reflection, and teacher-supervisor collaboration. Obstacles such as time constraints, competency variations, supervisor inconsistency, and cultural factors are overcome through adaptive strategies, so that challenges actually strengthen collaboration. This supervision has an impact on improving teaching skills, classroom management, student engagement, as well as fostering a continuous reflective culture. This model has the potential to be adapted in other schools with adjustments to the vision, culture, teacher competencies and structural support.  Novelty: The innovation of this research lies in the transformation of walkthrough supervision into a collective reflective culture, the collaborative role of teachers-supervisors, and adaptive strategies to face obstacles. This model not only improves teacher competence and classroom culture, but also has the potential to be replicated with adjustments to the school context.
