Abstract

This study aims to analyze the placement of Enhanced Spelling (EYD) in a scientific work. EYD is a guideline used to improve and perfect Indonesian spelling. Scientific work is a type of writing that has specificity in the style of writing and the use of appropriate language. In this research, we collect several scientific papers from various disciplines and analyze the use of EYD in them. The method used is literature study and content analysis. We identify and compare the use of EYD in the context of words, punctuation, and other grammatical rules. The results of the analysis show variations in the use of EYD in scientific work. Some scholarly works adhere strictly to the EYD rules, paying attention to every aspect of spelling and grammar. However, several scientific works also show violations or deviations from the EYD rules. In this study, we also identify factors that influence the placement of EYD in scientific work. These factors include the author's background, scientific discipline, and language usage habits. This research is expected to provide a better understanding of the use of EYD in scientific work and provide recommendations for increasing awareness and compliance with EYD rules. In conclusion, this study reveals variations in the placement of EYD in scientific work. The importance of understanding and applying EYD rules in scientific work is a major concern. Consistent and correct use of EYD will improve the quality and uniformity of scientific writing, and make it easier for readers to understand and evaluate scientific work.

Abstract

Language is an important thing in human life. Through humans can communicate with each other. In addition, language is used to convey ideas, ideas, opinions, feelings and thoughts to other people. As well as a tool to develop yourself and socialize with others. A language must have a clear meaning so that when there is communication there is no misunderstanding in the delivery. Currently there are several variations of language styles used in the community environment. The existence of variations in language style is triggered by the development of communication technology which is developing very rapidly. The development of this language makes the style of language used by generations to be different. Each generation will have its own distinctive language style. The use of Indonesian that is good and right is now starting to be displaced by slang and people feel used to using language. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of the use of slang in everyday conversations among university students. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze reading difficulties faced by high school students in elementary school and identify the causal factors. The type of research used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and literature review. The research subject was SDN 14 Kampung Jambak, students of class IV. The results showed that the factors causing students' reading difficulties were 1) not understanding complex words and sentences, 2) lack of understanding of vocabulary, 3) not understanding sentences and text structures, 4) not yet mastering problem-solving skills, especially in reasoning, 5) lack of motivation and interest in reading students, 6) lack of reading practice, and 7) lack of support from the environment. Difficulty reading in high school grades is a complex challenge and requires an appropriate and sustainable approach. Educators, as well as parents, need to work together to identify and provide appropriate support for students who experience reading difficulties. Effective interventions involve approaches that focus on reading strategies and vocabulary mastery. In addition, it is important to create a positive and supportive learning environment, which can increase students' interest and motivation in reading.

Abstract

This research generally aims to improve the learning outcomes of class X-L students of SMAN 1 Kendal for the 2022/2023 academic year by implementing augmented reality-based multimedia learning. And it specifically aims to make students able to achieve learning objectives by producing a minimum KKTP score of 70 and at least 80% of the total students are able to achieve this minimum limit. The research method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research Method or better known as PTK. The CAR method is the process of assessing learning problems in the classroom through self-reflection in an effort to solve these problems by taking planned actions in real situations and analyzing the impact of these treatments. The results of research conducted on class X-L students of SMAN 1 Kendal, the application of Augmented Reality-based learning media with the concept of Joyful Learning can improve student learning outcomes, especially geguritan stinging material. That the application of multimedia presentation learning media can improve student learning outcomes in Javanese language subjects, especially in geguritan's nyerat material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the application of the quiz team-assisted experiential learning model on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Gili Barat. This research is a quantitative research with the type of experimental research, the research design used is a quasi-experimental design, and the form of the design used is a nonequivalent control group design, meaning that neither the experimental nor control group samples were selected randomly. The sample used was 50 students from class IV SD Negeri Gili Barat. This study used experimental and control classes. Data collected using observation and tests of critical thinking skills. Trials of test instruments using validity tests, reliability tests, item difficulty levels, and item discriminating power. The data analysis used is the normality test and homogeneity test. The hypothesis test uses the independent sample t test. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test data analysis, the t-test obtained the result of tcount = 9,823 > ttable = 2.010, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of the quiz team-assisted experiential learning model on the critical thinking skills of class IV SD Negeri Gili Barat.

Abstract

The researcher's interest in the poem's substance and the significance of the traditional marriage poetry of maing saing lepo toma woga during a wedding ceremony in Nita Village, Sikka Regency, served as the inspiration for this study. The uncle's kid marriage system, the free marriage system, and the marriage system that is forbidden by custom are three significant divisions in the Sikka customary marriage system. The pronunciation of the traditional poem of Maing Saing Lepo Toma Woga, which is part of the wedding ritual, is a highly sacred component of the process of establishing a married bond. This is due to everyone's wishes and prayers for the bride.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with grade 2 teachers at Bongkilemba State Elementary School, obtained information that in teaching writing the teacher has not maximized and applied appropriate learning media so that students experience difficulties in developing ideas and ideas, and in the end students only copy what already exists. For writing beginners, the teacher should guide students to write, starting from the stage of generating ideas and ideas, developing ideas and ideas to the writing stage as a whole. The teacher also has never used the three-line beautiful notebook media to help students generate ideas and ideas. Based on the results of observations at the pre-research stage, information was obtained that in learning Indonesian, especially writing, the teacher only used lecture, question and answer and assignment methods. In addition, teachers also do not use media in learning activities. It can be concluded that students find it difficult in generating and developing ideas and ideas. In fact, the emergence of ideas and ideas is one of the processes that must be done before writing. Teachers have not used the media especially for learning to write

Abstract

The background of this research is that class VII students at SMP Al Musyaffa Kendal do not have enough self-confidence to adapt to their environment which affects their learning process at school. Based on a questionnaire about self-confidence that has been distributed it was found that only 18% of students did their assignments on time, students did not know the talents that were in me 42%, students felt inappropriate if appointed to be class leaders 54%, students had difficulty developing talents that 69% owned, and 70% embarrassed to ask. then in the self-adjustment questionnaire it was found that on the item it was difficult to start a conversation with strangers 90%, I had difficulty telling problems 66%, I thought I could not socialize properly 60%, and tended to close myself 75%. From the results of the questionnaire that has been distributed, it shows that there are problems with the self-confidence and self-adjustment of class VII students at SMP Al Musyaffa Kendal. This type of research is a quantitative research with a correlational research design. The research data population is 192 students, covering class VII A-F. The trial sample (Try out) was 29 students of class VII F. The sample in this study were 62 students who were taken by random sampling technique. The data collection tool used is a self-confidence scale and a self-adjustment scale. The results of the hypothesis test in this study used the person product moment correlation test, indicating that the person product moment correlation test of the two variables obtained a significance result of (r) = 0.455. While the value of r table for the number of samples is 62 with a significance level of 5% of 0.240, which means that the two variables have a significant relationship. Because the r count value is 0.455 > r table 0.240 when matched with the interpretation table it shows that the self-confidence variable and the adjustment planning variable have a sufficient level of relationship. From these results indicate that there is a relationship between self-confidence and self-adjustment of class VII male students at SMP AL Musyaffa Kendal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the implementation of strengthening character education through school culture, school constraints and solutions are carried out to overcome obstacles in the implementation of strengthening character education through school culture. The method used in this study is a descriptive analysis method, with a qualitative approach. The results of the study showed that the implementation of Strengthening Character Education through School Culture was carried out through the school's vision and mission, habituation, appeal, discipline, subject integration, extracurricular, uniqueness and characteristics of the school, cooperation between parents and committees. In addition, several obstacles were also found, namely those found in School Stakeholders, Parents, facilities and infrastructure. Solutions were also found to overcome obstacles in the implementation of strengthening character education, namely conducting weekly evaluations, synergy with parents and school development plans.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Lectora Inspire learning media on the critical thinking skills of class XI IPS students at SMAN 49 Jakarta in the subject matter of geography on Indonesian cultural diversity. Using a quasi-experimental method with a sampling technique that is total sampling. The sample used was class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class that used Lectora Inspire learning media and class XI IPS 1 as a control class that used PowerPoint learning media. The research instrument test was declared valid and reliable, and the data obtained was normal and homogeneous. The results of the statistical test (independent sample t test) obtained the value of sig. of 0.014 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted due to the Sig value. < 0.05. The conclusion of the study is that there is an effect of using Lectora Inspire learning media on students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class. The increase in students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class was higher, namely 3.85, while in the control class it was 2.25.
