Abstract

The local authorities are promoting Buku Limau Island as an emerging tourist site. The island's distinguishing features include stunning coral reefs, picturesque white sandy beaches, and its role as a hub for the production of salted and fresh seafood. The objective of this study is to identify and describe the natural and cultural attractions on Buku Limau Island, particularly in the Manggar Subdistrict of East Belitung Regency. Additionally, the study seeks to examine social networks in order to facilitate the development and expansion of natural and cultural tourism destinations in the area. This research employs a mixed-method approach, utilizing data gathering approaches such as observation, focus group discussions (FGD), and surveys administered through questionnaires. UCINET program was used to conduct descriptive qualitative analysis and social network analysis to identify and reveal tourist characteristics. This is followed by the breakdown and study of social networks among stakeholders and interest groups. The findings of this study indicate that Buku Limau Island exhibits attributes of both natural and cultural tourism, with the predominant population of fishermen being of Bugis ethnicity. The identification and study of social networks demonstrate that stakeholders have formed networks to actively support and cultivate tourism attractions, encompassing both natural and cultural aspects. Nevertheless, there are still certain stakeholders who have not been engaged in the network throughout the process of developing and improving the tourism destination.  The research limits are deliberately established to enhance the study's focus and depth. The information and data acquired are directly relevant to the fundamental issue of this investigation. The scope of this study is limited to the creation of natural and cultural tourism centered around social networks on Buku Limau Island. Theoretical implications shed light on the ideas of local government assistance, social networks, and tourist attractions. Meanwhile, the practical consequences surely affect the government, tourism stakeholders, and the community in their efforts to promote the growth of natural and cultural tourism through social networks on Buku Limau Island.

A total of 210 respondents were selected using accidental sampling. Data analysis measured the direct and mediated effects of the marketing mix and brand image on consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. The marketing mix showed a positive and significant influence on repurchase intentions and consumer satisfaction. When mediated by consumer satisfaction, the marketing mix had an additional positive effect on repurchase intention. Brand image also significantly influenced repurchase intention and consumer satisfaction. Findings suggest that both the marketing mix and brand image are crucial in enhancing consumer satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits to Kampung Pempek 26 Ilir. The positive mediation effects of consumer satisfaction indicate its role as an essential bridge between marketing strategies and consumer loyalty. The study concludes that improving both the marketing mix and brand image can substantially enhance consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Specifically, consumer satisfaction is a pivotal factor in increasing consumer loyalty and the likelihood of repeat purchases. The recommendation for Kampung Pempek 26 Ilir is to invest in optimizing its marketing strategies and brand image to enhance consumer satisfaction. Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of electronic word-of-mouth, accessibility, and attractiveness on the intention to revisit Wediombo Beach, as influenced by the tourist experience. This research uses an explanatory quantitative approach with data collected from a survey of 120 respondents who have visited Wediombo Beach. Path analysis, utilizing the SmartPLS program and the Sobel test to measure mediation variables, serves as the analysis technique. Hypothesis testing reveals that electronic word of mouth and attractiveness have a positive and significant influence on revisit intention, with the tourist experience acting as a mediator. The tourist experience also mediates the significant impact of accessibility, despite its negative value, on revisit intention. In regulating the impact of electronic word of mouth, accessibility, and attractiveness on revisit intention, the tourist experience serves as a partial mediating factor. Furthermore, researchers can suggest managerial implications for the Special Region of Yogyakarta Tourism Office and related tourism managers to improve the accessibility factor, which can start with making clear directions and improving the road quality to Wediombo Beach.

Abstract

Despite the significant tourism potential and government initiatives in Indonesia, the popularity of Lombok Island remains below expectations, particularly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Look Lombok Tour & Travel, a local travel agency, faces substantial challenges in attracting tourists. This study aims to identify the most effective promotional strategies for Look Lombok Tour & Travel's tour packages by applying the Promotion Mix Framework. We collected data from previous annual reports and conducted interviews with three key staff members using a qualitative descriptive methodology, which we then analyzed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the promotional efforts. The results demonstrate that Look Lombok Tour & Travel employs a comprehensive array of promotional strategies—advertising, public relations, direct marketing, sales promotion, and personal selling—to effectively reach diverse demographics and align with current industry trends. Despite these strategic efforts, the study identifies critical areas needing improvement, including the development of distinctive tour packages, addressing budget limitations, fostering innovation, integrating advanced technologies, and establishing robust evaluation mechanisms. To overcome these challenges and enhance promotional efficacy, the study recommends investing in innovative technology-driven tactics and conducting regular strategic evaluations. These initiatives are anticipated to significantly enhance Lombok's appeal as a tourist destination, ensuring sustainable growth and resilience in its tourism industry.

Abstract

The creative economy in Indonesia is increasingly boosting the national economy, as evidenced by the success of events like the Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) and Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival (BEC), but industry players still need to utilize blockchain technology in the Internet of Value era to create economic value. Annually held in Jember, East Java, the Jember Fashion Carnival showcases extravagant costumes and parade performances, while the BEC, an ethnic carnival in Banyuwangi, celebrates the cultural diversity of the region through traditional dances and costumes. The purpose of this research is to identify readiness for implementing blockchain technology, identify the strengths of EFAS in the blockchain technology-based carnival creative industry, explore the uniqueness of blockchain technology-based carnival innovative products, and formulate a blockchain technology-oriented strategic plan in the carnival creative industry. This research is exploratory in nature, utilizing analytical methods such as TRA and TAM. The research results indicate that blockchain technology can serve as a valuable alternative tool in the era of the internet, particularly for the carnival industry, which includes events such as BEC and JFC. The community's lack of understanding of blockchain technology and NFTs poses the biggest threat. The carnival industry requires risk mitigation and education to ensure successful implementation. We can carry out this effort by providing assistance to carnival industry players, enabling them to enhance their competitiveness and seize potential external opportunities. The research shows that JFC and BEC are not yet fully ready to adopt blockchain in organizing Carnival events, but there is a strong intention and positive attitude towards implementing blockchain. The successful implementation of blockchain requires technical assistance and the building of human resource capacity.
