Abstract

E-learning has become a vital component of the modern education system, driven by the rapid advancement of information and communication technology. The development of e-learning has transformed from a teacher-centered model in the 1990s to a student-centered model integrated with a Learning Management System (LMS) and advanced technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). This study aims to analyze the historical development of e-learning, compare its implementation at the Elementary School (SD) and Higher Education (PT) levels, and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses. The final objective is to formulate a strategy to optimize the role of e-learning in improving the quality of Distance Learning (PJJ) at Wiralodra University. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical type. Data were obtained through literature studies and conceptual reviews of various related academic documents and references. Data analysis techniques include qualitative content analysis and comparative analysis to examine differences in learning characteristics at both levels of education and formulate strategic solutions. The implementation of e-learning in Higher Education requires independent learning and presents more complex material than in Elementary School. Although e-learning offers advantages such as easy access and the use of diverse media, several disadvantages have been identified, including excessive workloads, difficulty understanding the material, and a lack of social interaction among students. To optimize the role of e-learning at Wiralodra University, a comprehensive strategy is recommended. This strategy includes developing an integrated e-learning platform, digital literacy training for lecturers and students, building industry collaborations, providing adequate internet access, and managing a balanced workload to enhance learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Preaching is a noble activity in which a da'i broadcasts the teachings of Islam to mad'u. Therefore, before preaching the da'i should know the strategies to support the success of his da'wah, such as the Science of Rhetoric. Rhetoric is the art or science of the style of language used in conveying a message when speaking in public such as da'wah, speech and others. Ustadzah Halimah Alaydrus is a preacher whose da'wah is currently being heard by Muslimah congregations both offline and online. Ustadzah Halimah when preaching on social media apart from never meeting the congregation directly, she also never showed her face to the congregation online. However, this does not stop the congregation from listening to the da'wah he conveys. This is what makes the writer interested in making it a subject in research. From the background above, the question arises, how is Ustadzah Halimah Alaydrus rhetoric applied? And in this research the author focuses on using the theory of five rhetorical methods written by Zainul Ma'arif in his book Retorika Metode Komunikasi Publik which consists of finding da'wah material (inventio), arranging da'wah texts (dispositio), style of language (elucitio), remembering da'wah material (memoria), and the delivery of da'wah (pronontio). In this research, the author uses a library research method or approach, and based on the results of the rhetorical analysis of Ustadzah Halimah Alaydrus da'wah, the author obtained five rhetorical methods that were applied by Ustadzah Halimah when preaching on youtube social media. The five rhetorical methods of da'wah that she conveys are quite complete, packaged in an attractive manner so that the da'wah material is conveyed correctly, although there are still many shortcomings and these will be described in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the cultural symbols that have developed within the Pagayaman Muslim community in Singaraja, Bali, and to explore their meaning and role in maintaining Islamic identity while building harmonious social relations with the surrounding community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an ethnographic analytical framework. Data collection was conducted through a literature review of relevant academic sources and in-depth interviews with key informants selected purposively based on their involvement and understanding of the cultural practices of the Pagayaman community. The results show that the cultural symbolism of the Pagayaman Muslim community is adaptive and deeply rooted in the community's historical experiences. The meaning of religious symbols, the spatial arrangement of settlements, social interaction patterns, and the implementation of communal traditions reflect this community's ability to maintain its Muslim identity amidst the dominance of Balinese culture. Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Ushūl at-Tarbiyah al-Islāmiyyah in enhancing students’ motivation to learn Arabic. The study focuses on three main aspects: the fundamental principles of Islamic education relevant to Arabic language learning, the forms of implementation of these principles in the learning process, and their contribution to fostering students’ learning motivation. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify, classify, and synthesize relevant concepts. The findings indicate that Ushūl at-Tarbiyah al-Islāmiyyah, through the integration of ta‘līm and ta’dīb, plays a significant role in strengthening students’ motivation to learn Arabic. Abstract

This research investigates the therapeutic potential of Tawhid (affirming God's absolute oneness) as a Qur'anic and Hadith-based solution for overthinking and anxiety prevalent in contemporary Muslim societies. The study addresses the escalating prevalence of these mental health issues, which affect up to 30% of the population in Muslim-majority countries and are exacerbated by socio-economic pressures and inadequate culturally tailored mental health resources. Utilizing a qualitative Library Research method, the study conducts an in-depth content analysis of primary sources (Qur'an and Hadith) and secondary sources (classical tafsir and Salafi scholarly works). The findings affirm that Tawhid serves as a foundational al-ilaj ar-ruhiy (spiritual therapy) that provides a robust cognitive and emotional framework. The study identifies three core mechanisms derived from Tawhid: Tawhid Rububiyyah (Lordship) combats future anxiety and rumination through reliance on Qadar (Divine Decree) and cultivating Tawakkul (reliance); Tawhid Uluhiyyah (Worship) provides behavioral solutions like Dhikr, which acts as a cognitive soother; and Tawhid Asma’ wa Sifat (Names and Attributes) enhances psychological resources by combating helplessness and guilt rumination through names like Al-Wakil (The Disposer of Affairs) and Al-Ghafur (The Forgiving). Furthermore, specific Islamic strategies such as Tahajud, Dhikr, Tawakkul, and Rida (acceptance of divine decree) are affirmed to promote sakinah (tranquility), aligning the Salafi creedal doctrine with principles of modern cognitive restructuring therapy. The novelty lies in its rigorous, targeted, and holistic analysis through the Salafi scholarly lens, offering a doctrinally sound and psychologically relevant framework for intervention.
