Abstract

This article analyses educational programs for preparing a generation with global competitiveness in the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Jambi University using a qualitative approach and critical analysis. Furthermore, the data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is the Miles and Huberman model, including reduction, presentation, and verification. The results showed that there are several programs to prepare a generation of global competitiveness, including 1) Organizing training and workshops to prepare a generation with global competitiveness, 2) Reframing for Global Competitiveness, 3) Organizing Focus Group Discussions (FGD), 4) Implementation of Student Extracurricular Activities, 5) Socialization of Student Achievement Improvement.

Abstract

This article explores the application of integrated quality management in building Islamic educational institutions that can produce actual figures as educational institutions providing a pilot impact in the surrounding environment and strengthening Islamic Science. The Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Az-Ziyaadah was analysed using a descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The interview was conducted with key informants, namely the principal, ustadz, ustadzah, and education observers. Secondary data sources were in the form of documentation of learning in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Az-Ziyaadah. Furthermore, the data analysis technique refers to the concept of Miles and Huberman. The result showed that the application of quality management in the Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah adopts Islamic values, systematic revitalisation of human resources, and a system of rules. In Islamic values, it refers to integrating the concept of integration with the importance of the Qur'an. In the systematic revitalisation of human resources, steps are performed for restoration, regeneration, quality of human resources, strengthening finances, and networking.

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the planning, implementation, and supervision of education and financing management at MTs Al-Hikmah Plandaan Jombang using qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the analysis technique follows Hubberman's model, including reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results are 1) All stakeholders are involved in the planning to improve the quality of education by using a novel approach to achieving the school's vision and goal. 2) The steps taken by MTs are to work together with all residents to improve madrasa performance by managing funds honestly, responsibly, and transparently. 3) Monitoring activities are appropriate because the internal and external assessment modifies the institution's progress.

Abstract

Supervision is carried out in the context of mentoring, directing, and coaching toward improving teacher performance more optimally. This study aims to determine how managerial and principal academic supervision affect teacher performance in private junior high schools in the Tigaraksa District of the Tangerang Regency. This study uses correlational and regression analysis, which are both types of quantitative research methods. The population comprises 41 teachers, three principals, and one supervisor, for a total of 45 respondents. This study takes a sample of the whole population, which is the whole population. With a 97% contribution, the results showed that managerial supervision greatly improved teacher performance. The study's development shows that the principal's academic control has a significant effect on improving teacher performance, with a contribution of 88%, and that the supervisor's managerial supervision and the principal's visionary leadership have a substantial impact on improving teacher performance, with a contribution of 91%.

Abstract

This article analyses strategies to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning. Descriptive analysis, which began with observation, interviews, and documentation, was used. Therefore, various types of data were collected related to the research problem. Data verification was conducted, and the data were interpreted to obtain answers. The results showed that the teacher's program was administrative preparation, innovative and varied methods using media, practice, memorization, deposit, and writing the Qur'an. The principal programs were performed with motivation, cooperation, assignments, and daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly review learning. Meanwhile, the evaluations focused not on essays and multiple choice questions but on open questions and attitude assessments. Supporting factors are the principal's policy, complete facilities and infrastructure, educators, high motivation, and internal and external inhibiting factors arising from the teachers and unbalanced facilities. Concerning the required efforts, teachers always participate in training activities and seminars, and the school continues to add a few facilities. In conclusion, the strategy for improving the quality of learning is based on teacher and school programs, student morals, and achievement.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the learning evaluation by English teachers and the supervision of madrasah principals using phenomenological research with a qualitative approach. It was conducted at MTsN in Tanah Datar Regency, namely MTsN 1, MTsN 2, and MTsN 3 Tanah Datar. A total of 10 research informants, including the principal of the madrasa and English teachers, were used. The data collection involves in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Meanwhile, the data technique used was a source and technical triangulation. The results showed that: 1) Evaluation of learning processes and outcomes, in addition to language, was practised by English teachers. The strategies and developments include formative, summative, placement, and diagnostic evaluations. Furthermore, the evaluation of language learning comprises the domain of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. 2) There are several forms of supervision of the madrasah principal on the evaluation of learning, namely supervision of discipline, motivation, training, teacher performance, and work relations.

Abstract

The Balanced Score-Card is a principle of managing professional and balanced organizational institutions concerning financial and non-financial aspects. The BSC can be applied to for-profit and non-profit institutions, such as the Putra Satria educational institution. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. It is collecting data by interview, observation, and documentation notes. Data analysis refers to the balanced scorecard theory, which includes financial and non-financial aspects. The result is that the BSC has been implemented well by the Putra Satria Junior High School so that the school has a financial surplus. In addition, internal and external customers aspects of customer satisfaction feel satisfied with school management services. Internal business aspects by carrying out innovations in facilities and infrastructure that have been carried out by school management, as well as innovations in teaching (teaching and learning activities), carried out by teachers. In addition, it was found that the school cares for the development of human resources for teachers and employees through courses, training, seminars, or academic activities that support improving their education.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and analyze the leadership of the head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Bontang in improving the professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers. It uses a descriptive qualitative approach, and data collection techniques are conducted with in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results showed that planning is carried out by collecting ideas through the initial meeting of the year, forming a curriculum development team, obtaining curriculum documents, and determining an assessment program as the basis for implementing evaluations. Furthermore, management implementation through tahfidz learning in local content should be performed every morning for all students with a predetermined schedule. Evaluation through the memorization system positively impacts teachers to form a learning community, and the results of the tahfidz assessment are combined with all groups of Islamic religious subjects.

Abstract

This article aimed to examine and analyze the effect of Spiritual Leadership and Psychological Empowerment on Employee Performance. Respondents were leaders or employees at YPPBU (Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Foundation) Jombang, totalling 64 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS software version 3.0 and the relationship between variables. The results showed that Spiritual Leadership had no significant effect on Employee Performance (T Statistics: 0.925, P Values: 0.355). Psychological Empowerment has a considerable impact on Employee Performance (T statistic: 7,790, P Values: 0.000). Spiritual Leadership has a significant effect on Psychological Empowerment (T Statistics: 6,531, P Values: 0.000). Furthermore, Spiritual Leadership and Psychological Empowerment have no specific considerable impact on Employee Performance (T Statistics: 3,966, P Values: 0.000). Psychological Empowerment has a mediating role on Spiritual Leadership to Employee performance. The Spiritual Leadership and Psychological Empowerment felt by YPPBU's Leaders or Employees are directly proportional to the resulting performance. Changes in Spiritual Leadership and Psychological Empowerment will also affect Employee Performance.

Abstract

Globalisation has a significant influence on the world of education. The emergence of technology supports the implementation of services in providing school financial accountability through a digital payment information system. Therefore, this research aims to review the effectiveness and efficiency of the application of SIPS-MUDA in providing payment information using a case study with a mixed-method approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and surveys. Meanwhile, the data were analysed using John Cresswell's model analysis technique. The results showed that the school payment information system effectively controlled misinformation and omission of human error factors related to the data. A survey of 46 parents also indicated that more than 80% agreed on the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of SIPS-MUDA. This was based on the validity of payment information, task completion, time behaviour, and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, the application of SIPS-MUDA can be categorised as very effective in providing school payment information services. Virtual accounts are a recommendation for manual input constraints, and schools can utilise bank CSR funds in cooperation.
