Abstract

Production planning is the process of organizing and controlling the flow of materials in and out of the production system to meet consumer needs with the right quantity and timing while keeping production costs low. Based on the analysis, the popcorn factory in Surabaya has not maximized capacity management, as evidenced by the occurrence of surplus and deficit in available capacity (CA) during certain periods. The Surabaya popcorn factory does not fully utilize capacity management because the company produces either more or fewer products than the demand. Overproduction can lead to warehouse overstocking, while underproduction prevents the company from meeting consumer needs. The purpose of this research is to analyze and evaluate the capacity of resources and production equipment using forecasting techniques with minimum MSE (Mean Squared Error) to obtain an optimal production capacity plan and make appropriate capacity planning recommendations to ensure all consumer demands are met.

The objective of this research is to examine the impact of Islamic insurance funds' asset allocation, which includes mudharabah deposits, sovereign sukuk, corporate sukuk, and Islamic mutual funds, on the asset growth of Islamic insurance funds in Indonesia. This study employs quantitative methodology, utilizing Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) to analyze data series spanning from January 2016 to April 2023. The findings of the ordinary least squares (OLS) analysis indicate that the proportion of funds invested in Islamic mutual funds, government sukuk, corporate sukuk, and mudharabah deposits has a substantial and positive impact on the expansion of Islamic insurance assets. Moreover, the findings from the VAR indicate that a positive and statistically significant short-term relationship exists exclusively with government sukuk and its impact on the expansion of Islamic insurance assets. To optimize the allocation of investment funds for investors and stakeholders, sovereign sukuk and corporate sukuk may be considered, in light of the Impulse Response Function and Variance Decomposition analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of gender roles influenced by patriarchal culture and modernization on women's participation in the workforce in China. Using the literature review method, this study critically examines relevant previous studies to identify key factors affecting women's participation in the labor force and their implications for economic and social development in China. The results show that China's deep-rooted patriarchal culture has shaped gender stereotypes and social norms that limit women's role in the public sphere, including in the labor market. However, China's modernization process has driven social and economic transformations that have opened up opportunities for women to participate in the workforce. This research also reveals the disparities between urban and rural areas, as well as differences in education levels that affect women's access to and participation in the labor force. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of gender roles and their influence on women's labor force participation in China. The findings of this study can provide more effective policy recommendations to improve gender equality and empower women in economic and social development in China.
