Abstract

This article aims to uncover the cultural significance behind the Pepe-pepe ri Makkah dance, one of the traditional dances originating from Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research method employed is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, interviews with performers or dancers, and literature review. The research findings indicate that the Pepe-pepe ri Makkah dance embodies profound religious and spiritual meanings, symbolizing gratitude and reverence to God, expressed through captivating movements involving torches or fire props. The collaborative interaction among dancers carries social and communal significance, as the Makassar community uses this dance as a means to strengthen relationships among its members. This article contributes significantly to the cultural richness of Indonesia, particularly in preserving and developing Makassar's traditional dance heritage.

Abstract

This Research problem is high order thinking of students still low. Teaching is oriented by the teacher and the teacher is giving less motivation to the student. The Teacher seldom gives the question to student about high order thinking and the students look for the answer. This research aims to describe the implementation and the increasing of student high order thinking in studying social science by using model learning base problem. This research method is action research in class. This method adapt the model from Taggart and Kemmis conducted with two cycles in the class at SD Neg Makassar. The research subject is five class. There are 32 students. This action research conducted in implementation of learning base problem model that it were five stages as: the student instruction in orientation the problems, in organizing student to learn, in helping student, in developing and in presenting, in analyzing and evaluating the problem solving. The indicator of high order thinking which is measured in this research identify the problem, collect the information, look for, solve the problem, and using the good instruction through the good language. Using the good reason to conclude. This result research showed that the high order thinking of student from first cycle is 59% to second cycle 88%. This research conclusion is the implementation of model learning base problem can increase the skill of high order thinking to student in five class to the social science at elementary school.

Abstract

The architecture of the Bugis residence is one of the cultural elements that grows and develops in South Sulawesi Province. The Bugis community that builds houses on stilts influences the condition of the surrounding environment. This article describes the development of sanitation systems with an increase in community environmental knowledge. This study is qualitative in nature with data collection methods through observation of traditional houses in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The focus of this study is the clean water and dirty water management system. The results of this study found that the environmental sanitation system in traditional Bugis homes develops according to the needs and knowledge of the community and contributes to creating environmental quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Fermentation of Sago Dregs (Metroxylon Sago) in Feeds on Broiler Performance. This study was conducted in March – May 2022, in the poultry house of Campus 1 Polbangtan Gowa, Romang Lompoa Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency. The study method was compiled based on a completely randomized design (CRD) with a population of 48 broilers placed in 16 cage plots, each cage plot containing 3 chickens with 4 treatments each consisting of 4 replications. The treatment was given in broiler rations aged 1 – 29 days, each sample of the experimental design carried out in this study were P0 (without treatment), P1 (ration with 5% fermented sago dregs), P2 (ration with 10% fermented sago dregs), P3 (ration with 15% fermented sago dregs). Parameters observed were ration consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion. Data were analyzed using ANOVA test and continued with Duncan's test. The results of the study showed that in P1 the provision of rations with 5% fermentation of sago dregs, does not give a significant difference in the percentage of feed conversion, but P1 gave a significant difference in the feed consumption test of 1870.62 and body weight growth of 1159.70, so it can be recommended that the best treatment is P1 (giving 5% fermented sago dregs).

Abstract

As cities continue to grow and face increasing challenges, the concept of smart cities has emerged as a solution to create sustainable, efficient, and livable urban environments. One crucial aspect of smart cities is the development of intelligent urban public spaces that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of residents and visitors. This paper explores the role of AI in the development of such spaces, focusing on how AI technologies can enhance their design, functionality, and user experience. It examines the application of AI in areas such as data analytics, user behavior analysis, sensor networks, and adaptive systems to create dynamic and responsive public spaces. Furthermore, it discusses the benefits, challenges, and potential ethical considerations associated with harnessing AI for intelligent urban public spaces development. Through this exploration, the paper highlights the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of urban environments and fostering inclusive and sustainable communities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to solve the problem of lecturers and students regarding the lack of microteaching guides at the Faculty of Art and Design, Makassar State University. Specifically, this research aims to develop a valid micro-learning guide for lecturers and students at the Faculty of Art and Design, Makassar State University. This type of research is research and development (R&D), is to develop microteaching learning guidelines. The development research model developed was adopted from the model developed by Thiagarajan, is to the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The Define stage is analyzing the needs of lecturers and students for microteaching learning. The analysis is carried out by observing and reviewing the needs of lecturers and students in microteaching learning, as well as reviewing literature related to microteaching. Design stage (design), after analyzing needs, the next step is to design a form of guide by making a storyboard, arranging the material included in the guidebook, creating learning scenarios, and creating assessment guides in microteaching learning. Develop stage (development), this stage is the stage of validating the micro learning guide that has been developed. and the Disseminate stage, the stage where the guidelines that have been developed are distributed to lecturers who teach microteaching courses and to students who program the courses. The number of validators involved in this research was two validators. Each one material expert and one media expert. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that the development of the microteaching guide went through four stages and was carried out in accordance with the research and development model developed by Thiagarajan, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The microteaching guide for lecturers and students has been declared suitable for use in microteaching at the Faculty of Art and Design, Makassar State University.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the creative thinking process for students in solving problems related to physics problems in everyday life. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data is students majoring in Physics in the physics education study program FMIPA Makassar State University semester 4 who have programmed Basic Physics courses. The results showed that there were differences in students' creative thinking processes in solving problems. This is based on the stages of the creative thinking process which include: (1) preparation; (2) incubation; (3) illumination; and (4) verification that experiences differences in time duration at the incubation and verification stages. The difference in students' creative thinking processes is also caused by the academic abilities possessed by each individual so that it has an impact in terms of solving problems.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach that aims to produce a strategy of the accountability for building approval services at the Gowa Regency. Informant selection was carried out by purposive sampling technique and data collection were used interview, observation, and documentation technique. The data analysis in this research was used the Miles and Huberman interactive models. The results of this study indicate that the process of public service accountability for Building Approvals at DPMPTSP Gowa Regency is considered not to be going well because there are still employees who do not follow procedures in providing PBG management services to applicants and there is no clarity of information and costs that are clearly displayed both on the SIMBG website page and those contained in the respective DPMPTSP agencies and the Gowa PUPR Service.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the future of architecture and architects. Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of emerging technological developments, and is increasingly being utilised in various fields, including architecture. This research will examine how the application of AI in architecture affects the design process, design solutions, and the role of architects in future architectural practice. Through literature review and data analysis, this study will present information on the benefits and challenges of AI adoption in architecture as well as implications for architects. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide insight into the role of AI in the future of architecture and how architects can adapt and optimise the potential of this technology in their professional practice.

Abstract

Leadership is very important in an organisation. leadership is a person's skills and ability to influence others to do something in accordance with the goals to be achieved. leading is a person's role to influence others in various ways. This study aims to describe the lurah's democratic leadership style in public services in Balla Parrang Village. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are done through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The informants in the study were employees in the Balla Parrang village office, the head of the Community Association (RW) and the head of the RT. Determination of informants is done by using purposive sampling technique, in this study the analysis is done qualitatively. The results showed that the head of Balla Parrang village as a leader with a democratic and charismatic leadership style. In addition, in the leadership style of Balla Parrang village head gives a positive influence to the staff because Balla Parrang village head for always conveying the importance of discipline.
