Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are essentially nutritious plants planted in the yard and managed by the family. This type of toga plant is planted to meet the family's need for traditional medicines that can be made by yourself. Using the toga plant is an effort to prevent disease. Apart from that, this type of toga plant can also be used as a promotional effort or to improve health, as well as a curative effort as a cure for disease. Utilizing the yard around the house, or unproductive empty land through developing seed houses, planting and post-harvest and processing Toga.

Abstract

The potential for diversification of herbal drinks is increasing along with a healthy lifestyle. This research aims to develop herbal drinks in the form of tea bags that are practical and economical in terms of proportions and selling price. There were seven herbal tea samples tested with the proportion of spices, namely mangosteen peel, ginger, lemongrass, cherry leaves, lime leaves (P1= 1:1:1:1:1:1), (P2= 1:2:1 :1:1:1:1), (P3= 1:1:2:1:1:1:1), (P4= 1:1:2:1:1:1), (P5= 1:2 :2:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1:2:1:1:1:1:1:1 ): 1:1:2:1:1:1:1), (P5 1:1:1:1:1:2:1:1), (P6 = 1:1:1:1:1:2 :1), and (P7 = 1:1:1:1:1:1:2) The hedonic test method is used to get the best results based on the quality of herbal tea with color, aroma and taste parameters. The sample of respondents consisted of 100 MSME assistants. The research results showed that the best results were with the composition P3 = 1:1:2:1:1:1 in terms of aroma and taste of herbal tea bags. Meanwhile, in terms of the level of importance of herbal teabags, the panel considered the color aspect to be the most important factor, suggesting the taste and aroma of herbal teabags. Meanwhile, the selling price was obtained at IDR 12,500/pack. The results of this research indicate that herbal tea bags can be accepted by the market so that further research is needed regarding chemical content tests.

Abstract

Invasive foreign species (JAI) are the most serious problem for ecosystems and biodiversity, especially in protected areas. Its fast and aggressive growth makes it easy for it to dominate the land. Tight competition for water, light and nutrients is a serious problem. Therefore, the aim of the research carried out along the Pertamina Complex Patra Asri road, Bandung City, is to determine the diversity of invasive foreign plant species found along the Pertamina road, Patra Asri Complex. The research method was carried out by collecting data directly. Invasive foreign plant species found in the category of spreading to other trees are Mikania micrantha and Ipomoea Cairica. The other types are Mimosa pigra, Imperata cylindrica, Bidens Pilosa L., Paspalum distichum L., and Sesbania drummondii. The impact of invasive plants spreading on other plants will reduce and threaten local growth. Invasive plants can also harm local plants in terms of physiology and morphology as they try to defend and compete for nutrients with invasive plants. Environmental damage due to invasive plants will result in physical damage to the habitat, such as blocking waterways, damaging building structures and disturbing beauty.

Abstract

This research explores the soil characteristics in Sikulikap Plain, Sibolangit, North Sumatra, with the aim of assessing its agricultural potential. The plain is known to have Andosol, Alluvial, and Peat soils, collectively creating a fertile environment with high water retention and abundant nutrient availability. The analysis includes parameters such as pH, soil texture, nutrient content, water availability, and soil biological properties. The research results indicate that the soil pH in Sikulikap falls within the range of 6-7, creating optimal acidic conditions for plant growth. The granular soil structure in the A horizon and sandy clay soil texture provide good physical support for agriculture. The biologically rich soil with diverse living organisms adds ecological value to sustainable farming. These findings provide a crucial foundation for sustainable agricultural planning in Sikulikap Plain, with optimal potential for plant growth and increased agricultural production.

Abstract

Rubber is a commodity that is closely related to human daily needs. The productivity of rubber plantations in Indonesia is on average low and the quality of the rubber produced is also less than satisfactory. Even on the world market, Indonesian rubber is known for its low quality. Balangan Regency is one of the regencies in South of Borneo which produces 7,343 tons of rubber (rubber producers), consisting of 1,250 tons of community agricultural production and 6,093 tons of private agricultural production. It was found that there was a decline in production and marketing which had not yet involved institutional marketing institutions. This research uses a survey method with qualitative and quantitative data. The population in this study were all rubber farmers in Batu Mandi Village, Batu Mandi District, Balangan Regency with a cultivated land area of 1 hectare or more. Channel I farmers distribute commodities to factories through collectors. Channel II, farmers sell at low prices to small collectors by asking for lower prices.

Abstract

The Telang plant (Clitoria ternatea) is a traditional climbing plant that belongs to the fabaceae or legume group. Its way of life is like climbing on house fences, it can even spread on other plants. The benefits that can be taken from the roots to the top of the telang plant have been widely used by Indonesian people, one of which is the flower part as a traditional eye drop. This butterfly pea flower water extract has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Of course, these traditional eye drops are natural so they can mitigate the effects of synthetic eye drops. Butterfly pea flowers have a variety of colors, including white, blue and purple. However, the color of butterfly pea flowers that is often seen around the yard is dark blue. This is because telang flowers contain anthocyanin which is a group of water-soluble pigments. Apart from traditional medicine, butterfly pea flowers can also be used for food as a natural dye. This research took place in the Cipadung Wetan sub-district, Panyileukan District, East Bandung Regency. The method used is a qualitative method because the information conveyed is in the form of education and direct use to several female students at the Arraid Salafi Islamic Boarding School regarding traditional eye drops which are quite easy to administer. One of the ethnobotanical studies delivered was about a very easy way to cultivate butterfly pea plants, namely by planting the seeds.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the income from watermelon farming as seen from production in the Ringinanom sub-district, Nganjuk District, Nganjuk Regency. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method which is strengthened by descriptive qualitative methods by conducting R/C ratio analysis. Based on the results of the research described previously, the income from watermelon farming in Ringinanom Village, Nganjuk District, Nganjuk Regency was Rp. 2,132,000,. The results of the R/C Ratio analysis are 1.34, which means the farming business is worth pursuing. The BEP Product value is 480 Kg, and the BEP Price is IDR. 3,742

Abstract

Coffee is an important global agricultural commodity. Jambi Province only has one special Arabica coffee production center in Kerinci Regency. Cooperatives are very important in supporting the economy of small farmers as collectors of farmers' coffee harvests. However, there are various challenges, especially in developing marketing areas so that cooperatives can continue to operate. The aim of this research is to create a marketing strategy for Arabica specialty coffee cooperatives. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with cooperative leaders, using purposive sampling for a case study of the Alam Kerinci cooperative, which is the largest specialized Arabica cooperative in Kerinci district, Indonesia. This research applies the 4P marketing mix theory and SWOT analysis to examine the problems raised and develop strategies for developing cooperative marketing in the future. Evidence shows that cooperatives have implemented marketing mix strategies effectively. SWOT calculations, IFAS analysis (X = 0.95), and EFAS (Y = 0.53) show that the cooperative is in quadrant I which is a very profitable position for implementing growth-oriented strategies to support the development and expansion of aggressive cooperative marketing. . This study shows that cooperatives have the potential to expand marketing, as shown by SWOT analysis and quadrant identification.

Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that comes from renewable sources including geothermal, wind, bioenergy, sunlight, water flow and waterfalls as well as the movement and temperature differences of the ocean layers. One of the renewable energies that must continue to be developed is biomass energy derived from organic materials. The results of biomass conversion can be in the form of biogas, bioethanol, biodiesel, charcoal and so on. One of the alternative energies that can replace fossil energy sources is bioethanol. Raw materials that can be used as bioethanol are empty oil palm bunches and cassava. This study aims to determine whether the production of bioethanol from empty oil palm bunches and cassava produced is in accordance with Bioethanol Quality (SNI 7390-2012). This study consists of 5 processes, namely: preparation of raw materials, pretreatment of empty oil palm bunches, hydrolysis, fermentation, distillation. The final analysis results of bioethanol production with a density of 0.8896-0.911 gr/ml, brix content of 3-4%, pH level of 3-4, bioethanol yield of 15% - 30%. The optimum bioethanol yield is at 100% cassava variable with density data of 0.8896 gr/ml, brix content of 4%, pH level of 4, and yield of 30%. The results of the bioethanol quality test are not in accordance with the SNI 7390-2012 Standard.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving odot grass silage with rice straw as absorbent on blood metabolite concentrations in goats. This study used a Latin square design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The four treatments were JP0: silase consisting of 100% buckwheat, JP10: silase consisting of 90% mutton and 10% rice straw, JP20: silase consisting of 80% mutton and 20% rice straw, JP30: silase consisting of 70% odot and 30% rice straw. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using SPSS 21. The parameters measured consisted of levels of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV). Absorbance had no significant effect (P>0,05) on the levels of erythrocytes, leukocytes, packed cell volume, and blood hemoglobin of kacang goats.
