Abstract

Background. In recent years, the demand for personalized learning experiences has increased, particularly in the context of adaptive learning algorithms that cater to individual student needs. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive studies that evaluate the effectiveness of these algorithms on student outcomes. This study seeks to address this gap by examining how adaptive learning algorithms can personalize learning paths and improve academic performance. Purpose. The research aims to explore the correlation between the implementation of these algorithms and student engagement, retention, and success rates. Method. To achieve this, a quantitative research method was employed, involving the collection of data from 200 students in an online learning environment. The students were divided into two groups: one using a traditional learning model and the other exposed to adaptive learning algorithms. Student outcomes, including engagement metrics, test scores, and retention rates, were tracked over a semester. Results. The results revealed a significant improvement in student engagement and academic performance in the group that utilized adaptive learning algorithms compared to the traditional learning group. Moreover, students in the adaptive learning group demonstrated higher retention rates and greater satisfaction with their learning experiences. Conclusion. In conclusion, the study suggests that adaptive learning algorithms play a crucial role in enhancing personalized learning paths, ultimately leading to improved student outcomes. These findings highlight the importance of integrating adaptive technologies in modern educational systems to foster more effective learning environments.

Abstract

Background. The rise of 5G technology offers the potential to revolutionize e-learning, particularly in rural areas where access to high-quality educational resources has historically been limited. Despite the promise of improved connectivity, the scalability and impact of 5G-enabled e-learning platforms in these regions remain underexplored. Purpose. This study aims to assess the feasibility and scalability of implementing 5G-enabled e-learning platforms in rural areas and to evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing educational access and outcomes.   Method. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative analysis of internet connectivity, user engagement, and learning outcomes with qualitative interviews from educators and students. Data was collected from five rural regions across three countries where 5G infrastructure was recently introduced. The study measured improvements in e-learning adoption rates, student engagement, and academic performance over a 12-month period. Results. Results indicate that 5G-enabled e-learning platforms significantly improved both access to education and student engagement, with a 30% increase in platform adoption and a 25% improvement in student performance. Educators also reported more dynamic and interactive learning experiences. However, challenges related to infrastructure costs and digital literacy were noted, which could limit scalability in certain regions. Conclusion. In conclusion, the study demonstrates the potential of 5G technology to scale e-learning platforms in rural areas, improving educational access and outcomes. Nonetheless, addressing challenges such as infrastructure costs and digital literacy is critical for ensuring long-term scalability and success.

Abstract

Background. The crritical thinking and creativity designing has not been applied and adopted in learning optimally. The HOTS e-modul learning for teacher training program will lead them to analize and maximize their learning achivment. The purpose of learning need to be improved as well as the conventional media design must be updated to help learners to teach creatively and hink critically. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to develop HOTS content in the science subject e-module of Pohuwato University, increase creativity in developing teaching strategies and methods, improve critical thinking in understanding learning content and develop the creativity of prospective teachers in designing materials, media and teaching modules that are in accordance with the conditions and abilities of students at the elementary school level. Method. The method used is R&D with the DDDE (Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate) model which was chosen because it is in accordance with the purpose of developing HOTS-based interactive e-modules and gamification. The small-scale trial of the HOTS E-module was carried out by experts of teacher, lecturers and also a large-scale trial was carried out by 46 students. The test subject was determined using the purposive sampling technique. In collecting research data, it is carried out by providing questionnaire tests that have been collected descriptively. Results. Results shows that the interactive HOTS e-module based on gamification, developed using the DDD-E model, meets the validity criteria with an average score of 3.89, is deemed practical with an average score of 3.66, and demonstrates effectiveness, with 86.8% of students achieving a minimum test score of 70. Conclusion. The interactive HOTS e-module, developed using the DDD-E model, is valid, practical, and effective. It equips future teachers with innovative tools to enhance critical thinking and student engagement, promoting better learning outcomes through gamified educational experiences.

Abstract

Background. The quality of education in Indonesia is still stagnant, as evidenced by students’ achievements, which have not shown significant changes. This is influenced by the competence of teachers, who are not yet fully professional. Purpose. This research aims to reveal the impact of teachers’ personality competence and students’ attitudes on the quality of learning, both partially and simultaneously. Method. This study employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach, involving 57 students from SDN Pangilen 3 Sampang in grades 4, 5, and 6. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data was collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale ranging from strongly agree (5) to strongly disagree (1). Data processing includes descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite tests such as normality and linearity, as well as validity and reliability testing. Hypothesis testing is conducted through multiple regression analysis, including simultaneous testing (F test) and partial testing (t test) to analyze the contributions between variables. Results. It shows that teachers’ personality competence and students’ attitudes have a significant impact on the quality of learning, with Sig. values of 0.000 and 0.004, respectively. The simultaneous test confirms the collective influence of both variables, with teachers’ competence contributing 34.1% and students’ attitudes contributing 19.5%. The dominance of teachers’ competence in affecting the quality of learning is evident from its relative contribution of 63.6%. Conclusion. This research emphasizes the importance of enhancing teachers’ personality competence to improve the quality of learning in schools.

Abstract

Background. The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the world of education is increasing. Teachers are required to be more creative and innovative in choosing suitable media when delivering learning materials, one of which is animated videos. Animated videos are audiovisual media that can attract students’ attention and present objects in detail, making it easier for students to understand the learning material. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to improve student achievement in Qur’an Hadith lessons through animated videos. Another goal is to increase students’ motivation so that they do not feel bored or disinterested during the learning process. Method. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey model. Results. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey model. Conclusion. The limitation of this study is that the researcher only used animated videos for teaching Qur’an Hadith. The researcher hopes that future studies can conduct similar research with different subjects.
