Abstract

This study aims to Socialize Motorcycle Maintenance in Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. From the Community Service Lecture activity where the implementation of the 2021 KPPM program of HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar in Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency, the conclusions obtained include: 1) Through motorcycle maintenance socialization activities, it is hoped that it can provide insight into the importance of caring for and maintaining the performance of their motorbikes 2) Through motorcycle maintenance socialization activities and with good education, motorbike owners can avoid unnecessary damage, as well as extend the life of the vehicle and also ensure safety while driving. First of all, the author would like to express his deepest gratitude to the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar for providing the opportunity to carry out this activity. Furthermore, my gratitude is also conveyed to the Head of Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency who has permitted the participants of the KPPM of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University for the February-March Period in Sibuntuon Village. Abstract

The development of communication technology has influenced the way teenagers interact, especially through social media platforms like WhatsApp. This study aims to describe the forms and meanings of slang used in teenagers' communication on WhatsApp. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, using data in the form of WhatsApp message transcripts collected in June 2025. The results indicate that the forms of slang used include abbreviations, registers, puns, foreign languages, swear words, non-standard words, non-compliance with spelling principles, and acronyms. Slang is used to expedite communication, create intimacy, and convey a modern and expressive impression.

Abstract

Pendidikan seks sejak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting dalam membangun pemahaman anak mengenai tubuh mereka, batasan pribadi, serta cara melindungi diri dari potensi kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual. Namun, topik ini masih dianggap tabu di banyak keluarga dan sekolah, sehingga anak-anak rentan menerima informasi yang salah atau tidak sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan mereka. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan sasaran siswa usia 7–8 tahun. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup edukasi interaktif melalui cerita bergambar, permainan peran, diskusi kelompok kecil, serta pelibatan guru dan orang tua dalam sesi pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test sederhana serta pengamatan perilaku anak selama kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman anak terkait area tubuh pribadi (80%), kemampuan menolak sentuhan yang tidak pantas (75%), dan keberanian meminta pertolongan kepada orang dewasa yang dipercaya (85%). Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendidikan seks dapat diajarkan dengan cara yang sesuai, ramah anak, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejak dini. Diharapkan, model pendampingan ini dapat diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah dasar lain di Indonesia untuk membentuk generasi yang lebih sadar dan terlindungi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze exhaust gas emissions by varying nozzle pressure and engine speed using a 2300 cc engine stand with diesel fuel. Exhaust emissions were measured with an engine smoke tester at engine speeds of 1000 rpm, 2000 rpm, and 3000 rpm, combined with nozzle pressures of 130 kg/cm², 140 kg/cm², and 150 kg/cm². The collected data were tabulated and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The results show that variations in nozzle pressure and engine speed affect exhaust emissions. The lowest HC emission value (ppm) occurred at a nozzle pressure of 130 kg/cm² and 1000 rpm, while the lowest CO emission value (%) was recorded at a nozzle pressure of 140 kg/cm² and 3000 rpm.

Abstract

Ketersediaan air bersih merupakan komponen vital dalam menunjang kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Desa Lainungan di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang masih menghadapi permasalahan serius terkait pencemaran sumber air akibat praktik sanitasi yang buruk, seperti pembuangan limbah rumah tangga dan kotoran ternak secara sembarangan. Kondisi ini meningkatkan risiko penyakit berbasis lingkungan seperti diare, tifus, dan infeksi kulit yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup masyarakat, terutama anak-anak dan kelompok rentan. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan pendekatan edukasi dan aksi nyata berbasis partisipasi warga. Kegiatan dilakukan selama tiga bulan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu survei awal untuk mengidentifikasi sumber pencemaran dan kebiasaan masyarakat, penyuluhan mengenai pentingnya air bersih dan sanitasi sehat, serta pelatihan pembuatan biofilter dan pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga. Selain itu, tim bersama warga melakukan kerja bakti membersihkan sumber air, memperbaiki saluran pembuangan, dan membangun sarana sederhana untuk menjaga kualitas air.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya sanitasi sehat, dari 30% sebelum program menjadi 85% setelah intervensi. Perubahan perilaku juga terlihat dari mulai diterapkannya kebiasaan membuang sampah pada tempatnya dan mengurangi pembuangan limbah ke sumber air. Dua bulan setelah program, terjadi penurunan laporan kasus penyakit diare dan penyakit kulit di desa tersebut.Kesimpulannya, PkM ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi dan aksi kolaboratif mampu mengubah perilaku masyarakat, meningkatkan kualitas air bersih, dan menurunkan risiko penyakit. Keberlanjutan program serupa diharapkan dapat diperluas ke desa-desa lain di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang sebagai upaya jangka panjang dalam meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the entrepreneurial skills of students through training in making environmentally friendly cleaning products from pine plants. The Daarus Sunnah Rangkasbitung Islamic Boarding School was chosen as the location for the activity because it has local potential that can be utilized productively and a strong spirit of independence among students. The implementation method of the activity includes socialization, technical training in making natural cleaners, introduction to the concept of entrepreneurship, and production assistance. The results of the activity showed that the participants were able to understand the product manufacturing process, identify its economic benefits, and show interest in developing a business independently. This activity makes a real contribution to strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit and sustainable utilization of local resources. Therefore, this training is recommended to be implemented sustainably and developed into a boarding school business unit managed by students.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah upaya sistematis meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia melalui pengembangan nilai moral, sosial, budaya, dan spiritual, namun berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan waktu, padatnya materi, dan minimnya media pembelajaran memerlukan solusi inovatif, salah satunya pengembangan e-learning berbasis web di Jurusan Pendidikan IPA Universitas Islam An-Nur Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-learning tersebut dan menilai kelayakannya melalui penilaian ahli desain, teknologi informasi, teknologi pendidikan, media pembelajaran, praktisi, dan mahasiswa, menggunakan model Research and Development Borg & Gall dengan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan observasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan penilaian rata-rata ahli desain web (86%), ahli IT (83%), ahli teknologi informasi (79%), ahli teknologi pendidikan (95%), ahli media pembelajaran (96%), dan ahli praktisi (83%), yang menandakan website valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Deep learning in education promotes meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning experiences. Technological advancements enhance its potential to improve teaching quality through reflective and impactful student experiences. However, teachers need stronger competence in implementation. This study aims to enhance teachers' instructional skills through a deep learning approach, focusing on English language teaching. Employing a community service framework with a quantitative approach, data were collected via questionnaires distributed to English teachers affiliated with the Sleman Regency English Teachers' Association (MGMMP). The intervention involved a workshop incorporating lectures, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions. Results indicated positive participant feedback, along with improved teacher understanding and readiness to apply deep learning principles in classrooms. The findings suggest that the deep learning approach can serve as an effective strategy for teacher empowerment and learning quality enhancement. This initiative proves that a deep learning approach can be an effective strategy to empower teachers and improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the meaning and educational values of the Rejang Lebong folk song "Sayang Api Coa Sayang" through an interpretive approach. This song not only represents aesthetic expression, but also conveys moral messages and character education, especially those related to environmental awareness, social responsibility, and the preservation of local culture. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that this song is rich in educational values such as love for the environment, respect for ancestors, social empathy, and cultural preservation. This song can be used as a medium for character education in the context of local wisdom-based learning.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of implementing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with a STEM approach on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, specifically in the topic of probability, at Anda Luri Catholic Junior High School. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing a nonequivalent control group structure. The participants consisted of two groups: Class VIII A, serving as the control group and receiving conventional instruction, and Class VIII B, designated as the experimental group and instructed using the PBL model with a STEM approach. An essay-based assessment was administered as both a pretest and posttest to evaluate students’ problem-solving skills. The findings revealed a 55% improvement in the experimental group and a 38% improvement in the control group. Results from the independent samples t-test indicated a statistically significant difference, with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), thereby rejecting the null hypothesis (H₀) and supporting the alternative hypothesis (H₁). These results confirm that the integration of the PBL model with a STEM approach significantly enhances students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.
