Abstract

This research discusses the importance of ethics for educators and students based on the views of Habib Zein bin Sumaith in the book al-Manhaj al-Sawi Syarh Ushul Thariqah al-Sadah al-Ba'alawi. The purpose of this study is to examine the ethics that must be owned by educators and students according to the book. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, and the data analyzed comes from primary and secondary sources. The results show that the ethics of educators include justice, honesty, wisdom, zuhud, tawaduk, and gentleness towards students. While the ethics of learners include heart cleansing, good learning goals, tawaduk, and simplicity in life.

Abstract

Discipline is an attitude that shows a willingness to comply with and obey the provisions, rules and regulations that apply. To achieve life goals, especially in terms of worship and morals. Discipline will be formed by getting used to doing something good and doing it consistently and continuously. Therefore, instilling a disciplined attitude is very necessary for every educational institution. As-Sholchah Islamic Boarding School for Girls implements the habit of activities that are arranged in a fixed schedule and carried out consistently. The purpose of this study was to identify whether there is an influence of the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad on the discipline of students and to determine how much influence the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad has on the discipline of students. The type of research used is quantitative research. Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this study reveal the influence of the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad on discipline. The large influence of the habit of reading Ratib al-Haddad on the discipline of students at the As-Sholchah female Islamic boarding school based on simple linear regression analysis guided by R Square is 46%.

Abstract

Intellectual intelligence alone will not be enough to support students to understand every learning delivered by the teacher. In addition to intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence is also needed to support the learning process, of course, this is inseparable from the role of teachers, parents, and the surrounding environment. To stimulate the increase in emotional intelligence, it is necessary to integrate character formation and the implementation of supporting activities in schools which are arranged into weekly, monthly, and even yearly activity programs. With this research, it is hoped that this goal can be achieved by identifying through related variables, namely whether there is an influence of the morning habituation program on the improvement of students' emotional intelligence at MTs Al-Hidayah Donowarih Karangploso. This study uses a type of quantitative research. The hypothesis test uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this study found that there was an effect of the morning habituation program on increasing emotional intelligence. This is taken from a significant result of 0.000, which is less than the probability value of 0.05, which is concluded that  rejection and acceptance mean that the discovery of the influence of the morning habituation program on the improvement of emotional intelligence of MTs Al-Hidayah students.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are the first Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that still exist today, with a main focus on teaching the yellow book. Despite advanced technology, MTs Darun Najah Karangploso still uses the yellow book teaching method which has not changed much, and yellow book studies there do not yet have a systematic and detailed plan. Based on this description, the problem that can be formulated is a) How is the implementation of fiqh learning using the Mukhtasar Abi Suja book for class VIII students in Darunnajah at Mts Darun Najah Karangploso?, b) What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the implementation of fiqh learning using Mukhtasar Abi Suja's book and how to overcome these inhibiting factors? The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with the type of field research. The data collection method is by using observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the technical data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that (1) the implementation of fiqh learning based on the yellow book of mukhtasar abi suja in grade VIII students at MTs Darun Najah has a positive impact on students because learning is more effective and efficient. Which this learning is divided into 3 stages, namely planning which includes learning goal planning, learning material planning, learning strategy planning, learning media planning. The implementation is divided into activities, namely the beginning, core, and end or closing activities. and evaluation. The a. supporting factors for this implementation are the principal's policy, Diniyah School, Qira'atul Kutub Subjects. and b. inhibiting factors are boredom and lack of time. The consequences of this learning are a. learning to be effective and efficient, b. increase in student achievement, and c. increase in student scores.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education plays a significant role in shaping students' character with good morals, both in terms of spiritual piety and social character. The interactive and contextual PAI learning model serves as an alternative for character building among students. This article employs a qualitative approach with a type of library research. Through library research, this article aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of various relevant literatures, such as books, scholarly journal articles, and other documents related to the researched topic. There are two types of data sources in this article: primary and secondary. Primary data is derived from books and journal articles that specifically discuss interactive and contextual PAI learning models as well as strategies for strengthening students' character. Secondary data includes scientific works, proceedings, research reports, and other supporting documents that enrich the understanding of the discussed topic. This article presents findings on interactive and contextual PAI learning models for building students' character, which include: the understanding model through experience, the understanding model through habituation, the understanding model through exemplary, and the contextual learning model.

Abstract

To achieve successful learning, there are several components that need to be considered, one of which is motivation. Motivation is one of the essential components needed to achieve desired outcomes. The same applies to memorizing the Qur'an. Many theories from several experts address the concept of motivation, such as the well-known Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This theory leans towards the content and process of learning, but fundamentally, it focuses on education and the ideal form of the learning process. This study aims to answer the following questions: (1) How is the analysis of the motivational needs hierarchy of students based on Abraham Maslow's theory in memorizing the Qur'an at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Furqon 3 Malang? (2) What are the implications of the students' motivation in memorizing the Qur'an at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Furqon 3 Malang? This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the research location at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Furqon 3 Malang. The research instrument is the researcher themselves, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is analyzed using data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The process of data verification is done through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study show that the students at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Furqon 3 have various kinds of motivations. Some are intrinsic, driven by their own will, while others are extrinsic, influenced by external factors. However, when applied according to Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, not all levels of needs must necessarily be fulfilled, although in the end, they will ultimately reach the peak, which is self-actualization.

Abstract

Islam is Rahmatan lil 'alamin, which means Islam brings peace and compassion to all of humanity and the universe. By understanding this concept, one can easily maintain peace in the midst of diversity in society. Through Islamic education, Rahmatan lil'alamin can shape noble character, practice Islamic teachings in moderation and instill the values of civility, tolerance, togetherness, and compassion in the midst of existing diversity. MA Integrative NU Al-Hikmah Jeru Tumpang, Malang Regency, in shaping the character of rahmatan lil'alamin students by building religious awareness which then becomes a provision in implementing a moderate religious attitude. Religious awareness becomes a guide in individual and social life, to create a life that is hablumminallah and hablumminannas in accordance with the command of Allah SWT. This research was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the cultivation of religious awareness at the NU Al-Hikmah Jeru Integrative High School used the methods of lectures, learning the Koran, and reciting dhikr, containing the principles of religious moderation, namely Tawasuth, Tawazun, I'tidal, Tasamuh, Musawah, and Shura. The results of fostering religious awareness can be seen from several activities that have been carried out, which include the fulfillment of religious moderation indicators, namely indicators of national commitment, tolerance, anti-radicalism, and accommodating local culture.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon in contemporary Islamic education where many people have knowledge but do not practice it (al-'alim ghairu al-'amil), so Ilmu Hal as a religious foundation that includes akidah, fiqh, and morals becomes a strategic solution to shape the character of santri. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Ilmu Hal from the book of Ta'lim al-Muta'allim in shaping the character of students and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors at Hidayatul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Singosari Malang. With a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 informants (ustadz and santri), participatory observation, and document study, then analyzed interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that the implementation of Hal Science is realized in four domains: (1) to God through orderly worship such as congregational prayer and recitation of the Qur'an, (2) to teachers through respect and obedience, (3) to fellow students through social solidarity, and (4) to society through polite communication, with the main supporting factors in the form of exemplary ustadz and positive habituation, while the main inhibiting factor is the influence of a less conducive external environment.

Abstract

The values of tolerance in social life need to be formed through education, including in the context of learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to describe the form of mutual respect in religion as well as the strategies of PAI teachers in instilling the value of tolerance among students. This study aims to analyze the form of students' religious tolerance attitude and identify the strategies of PAI teachers in building tolerance character at SMAN 7 Malang. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with field research method. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and verification using source triangulation. The research findings show two main aspects: (1) The form of students' inclusive attitude includes mutual respect for religious differences, freedom of belief, and fair and good behavior among others; (2) PAI teachers' strategies in instilling tolerance include habituation (intra- and extracurricular), exemplary, and coaching.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively explore how mosques have fulfilled and can further develop their function as educational institutions in Islamic education. Using a qualitative approach and literature review method, this research examines various relevant academic references from journals, books, and other scholarly publications over the past ten years. The findings indicate that since the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the mosque has served as a center for education and community empowerment, encompassing spiritual, social, and intellectual dimensions. In the contemporary context, mosques carry out educational functions through programs such as Qur’anic learning centers (TPA), madrasah diniyah, Islamic study groups (majelis taklim), thematic lectures, Islamic skills training, and the integration of digital technology in learning. Mosques also serve as hubs for youth development and community building, fostering character formation and strengthening Islamic brotherhood. The success of mosque-based education largely depends on management quality, community participation, and innovation in both learning methods and media. This study concludes that mosques have great potential to serve as contextual, inclusive, and sustainable Islamic educational institutions. Therefore, revitalizing the mosque's role as a learning and community development center is essential to meet the needs of the modern era.
