Abstract

The phenomenon of fast fashion makes people highly consumptive in order to keep up with the current trend, but this behavior is environmentally unfriendly. One of the efforts to reduce the impact of fast fashion is reselling used clothes. The objective of this research is to identify the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat of a business that are going to be sued to create a business plan. This qualitative research was conducted to grip certain understanding about the application of Business Model Canvas (BMC) and SWOT Analysis at Secondhand.jbg. the instrument of analysis is the Business Model Canvas (BMC), while SWOT analysis was used to identify the company’s internal and external conditions. Following the discovery of the internal and external factors, SWOT was employed to do to matching. The data of this research was acquired from interviews, observation, and documentation at the research site, i.e. Secondhand.jbg’s store. This study finds that the company needs to remake its business model using the Future Business Model Canvas. In the run, the shop is advised to run its business plan to develop its entire functional aspects in order to face the competition.

Abstract

Employee performance is the work results attained by an employee from carrying out his job according to the assigned responsibility. His performance contributes his contribution to organization. Employee performance can be improved by paying attention to several factors, such as workplace safety and health and employee’s wage. The objective of this research is to identify the effects of the application of workplace safety and health program and wage on the performance of permanent employees at PT Serim Indonesia in Pasuruan. Using saturated sampling, 108 permanent employees of the company were selected to be the sample of this quantitative explanatory research. The data of this study was harvested from primary data sources, questionnaires, and library research and was analyzed using instrument test, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression in SPSS version 26. This study finds that (1) the application of workplace safety and health program and wage simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of the permanent employees PT Serim Indonesia, that (2) the application of workplace safety and health program partially have a positive and significant effect on the employee’s performance, and that (3) wage has a positive and significant effect on the employee’s performance.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the fact that the number of layoffs in Indonesian bottled water companies are high despite the increasing demand. The objective of this research is to identify the effects of job insecurity, workplace environment, and work motivation on the job satisfaction of employees at PT Atlantic Biruraya Pasuruan, a company located in Pandaan of Sukorejo sub-district of Pasuruan Regency. The data of this quantitative explanatory study was harvested from questionnaires distributed to the company’s employees. Using saturated sampling, all 61 employees were selected as the respondents. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicate that job insecurity and work motivation have no significant effect on job satisfaction and that workplace environment positively and significantly influences the job satisfaction. Therefore, the company is suggested to improve its performance assessment system, pay more attention to the workload of their employees, and optimize employee empowerment to increase job satisfaction.

Abstract

Performance is often still measured from a financial perspective, even though financial performance is heavily influenced by non-financial factors. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the performance of Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital based on 4 perspectives of Kaplan & Norton's Balance Scorecard (1996). This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The data were obtained from documents, a survey of 65 outpatients and 240 employees, field observations, and consensus with the manager of Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital. The results of the study show that the financial performance of the Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital is not good in terms of operational cost control, the customer perspective performance is not good, the internal business process performance is good, and the overall growth and learning is good but the Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital has not succeeded in controlling employee retention. The overall performance assessment of Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital with a balanced scorecard based on four perspectives is in the good category. Performance appraisal with a balanced scorecard can be applied to non-profit organizations, especially Islamic-oriented hospitals.

Abstract

The high national consumption pattern in the area of household products has made retail industry receives considerable supports from the government. In order to make themselves remain exist in the market, retailers, especially the traditional ones, need to apply new strategies in response to recent developments inside and outside their business. The goal of this research is to discover the appropriate marketing strategy for Green Mart by analyzing its internal and external factors. This qualitative descriptive research was organized by conducting observations, documentations, and interviews with two of the store’s staff, i.e., supervisor and operational employee, and four of its regular customers. In its collection, the data was processed and presented using the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix, External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix, Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) matrix, Internal External (IE) matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). This study finds that the applicable strategy for Green Mart is market penetration. The suggested activities are registering its brand and improving the packaging of its unbranded products, opening online stores, issuing membership cards, making contents to be uploaded in Facebook and Instagram, and hiring experts in sales promotion.

Abstract

Many cases of sexual violence in Indonesia has recently drawn public attention. Teaching young people about sexuality is one way to lessen the incidence of sexual violence. The first Islamic-based sexuality education curriculum and module are created by Taulebih, an Indonesian social startup. Taulebih has been in operation for over a year, but it has never developed a thorough business plan. The operational actions that occurred within Taulebih between June 2022 and January 2023 are mapped using Business Model Canvas and Social Business Canvas analysis in this descriptive qualitative study. The outcomes of Taulebih's BMC analysis were then put to the test using a customer development procedure that resulted in the creation of a customer archetype. The result are six customer archetypes which leads to the conclusion that Taulebih targets a niche market where its products are well recognized to general customers but are tailored to meet more specialized needs by incorporating Islamic principles into the curriculum and lesson plans.

Abstract

JD.ED Production is a photo and video business from Malang. This research explores the reformulation of the company’s business model and strategies, aimed at identifying the current challenges faced by the company and propose a new business strategy to overcome the problems. Using analyses on the company’s internal and external environment, this research recommends measures to improve their competitiveness in the market. This study uses the Internal-External (IE) matrix; Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Based on the research results, this study uses QSPM as the tool of analysis to determine business strategies to be recommended. This research finds that market penetration is the appropriate strategy for JD.ED Production, by which the company is suggested to strive for bigger market share and to improve their business through expansion towards better and larger programs.

Abstract

Employee performance development and improvement is necessary for any companies in order to be able to maximally attain their business goals. Therefore, they carry out many ways to ensure the prime condition of their employee performance, including by identifying factors affecting it. It is currently believed that there are two factors that influence performance: work discipline and work motivation. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze (1) the direct effect of work discipline on employee performance, (2) the direct effect of work motivation on employee performance, and (3) the indirect effect of work discipline on employee performance. This research is considered as explanatory research, a study that aims to identify the relationships between two or more variables. The data of this research was harvested through a census conducted on all 100 employees of CV Sumber Berkah Sejahtera Pasuruan, a cigarette company. The analysis was conducted by applying multiple linear regression in SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). This study finds that (1) work discipline and work motivation significantly and simultaneously influence employee performance, (2) work discipline significantly and simultaneously affects employee performance, and (3) work motivation significantly and simultaneously influences employee performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the partial and simultaneous effects of human resource capability and work motivation on the organizational performance of Sasirangan MSME in Banjar Regency. The MSME is one of the production businesses that have survived for a long time. In order to ensure high performance, their human resource must be well governed. This quantitative explanatory research explains the influences of the variables through hypothesis testing. Using saturated sampling, 112 managers of Sasirangan MSME in Banjar Regency were selected as the sample. The data was harvested from interviews and questionnaires and was analyzed using data quality test, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression. This study finds that (10 human resource capability and work motivation simultaneously have positive and significant effects on the organizational performance of the MSME in the regency, that (2) human resource  capability partiall has a negative and significant effect on the organizational performance, and that (3) work motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on the organizational performance of the MSME in the regency.

Abstract

SUPERBLOCK is a business engaged in the paving block industry focusing on paving in Malang City. This study aims to identify internal and external conditions and formulate appropriate business strategies using the QSPM matrix analysis technique. This study uses the Internal External (IE) matrix, the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat Matrix (SWOT) and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results of this study are that the internal and external environment in the SUPERBLOCK is strong enough to respond to the opportunities and threats in the SUPERBLOCK. Based on the environmental analysis, a strategy was obtained to create standard operating procedures and improve workflow to improve the quality of SUPERBLOCK operational performance.
