Abstract

Leadership is a key factor in determining the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of school organizational performance, supported by the interpersonal communication skills of the madrasah principal in order to create harmony, understanding, and conformity of goals between leaders and their members, so as to increase the productivity and performance of good educational human resources. The purpose of this study was to reveal and analyze in depth the strategy for improving teacher performance at the Ci Doyang Private Middle School, Ciamis Regency through effective interpersonal communication patterns and managerial leadership of the madrasah principal. Data collection through in-depth interview methods, in-depth observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study interpret that in the managerial context of the madrasah principal at MTsS Ci Doyang as an effort to improve teacher performance, starting from the planning process, formulating the vision, mission, and goals of the madrasah, organizing various activities in improving teacher performance, fostering harmonious and togetherness traits and supportive cooperation, involving teachers in curriculum development towards teacher professionalism, improving the profession through workshops, providing learning motivation to continue studying, paying attention to teacher welfare and building a good work climate. Interpersonal communication that is established in the madrasah also becomes a factor that makes teachers feel appreciated and ultimately can be a motivation in improving performance. The results of the performance improvement are used as guidelines in performance evaluation, by giving awards and additional tasks as deputy head of the madrasah for teachers who have good performance.

Abstract

Educational leadership that has the criterion of emotional quotient is the leader with the ability to influence the educational community through self-awareness and self-management. This ability helps school leaders to understand the society. In other words, the leader has the social awareness and skill management. It is the skill to interact with the shcool community their wants. In addition, the school leaders are required to be honest to their selves and the whole educational community for their building of self strength, self-conscience, honor, and responsibility to the whole school community. To conclude that the cooperation between leaders and society (social community) the goal of the education will be achieved.

Abstract

Madrassas must be managed with a professional management system and be able to understand and meet the demands of society. This is where the role of leadership is needed. The head of the madrasah has a central role in determining the success of the implementation of education in the madrasah. The head of the madrasah not only acts as an administrative leader, but also as a manager, innovator, and motivator who is responsible for managing resources, improving the quality of learning, and ensuring the achievement of the institution's vision and mission. The effective performance of the madrasah head can create a conducive learning environment, improve the quality of education, and prepare competent students. One of the programs to improve the performance of the madrasah head is the Madrasah Head Performance Assessment Program (PKKM) which is the basis for its implementation is the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education (Dirjen Pendis) No. 1111 of 2019. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Madrasah Head Performance Assessment (PKKM) program using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) evaluation model. The CIPP model not only focuses on results, but also context, input, process, and results. Therefore, the CIPP model is said to be more comprehensive compared to other evaluation models. This study was conducted using the CIPP evaluation method with data collection using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research sample was madrasas, especially Private Junior High Schools in Tasikmalaya City that had implemented the PKKM program several times, including madrasah principals, supervisors, teachers, and education personnel. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative and qualitative approaches and using the CIPP evaluation model. The results of the study showed that the Madrasah Principal Performance Assessment program with the CIPP model was considered effective in improving the performance of madrasah principals and the quality of madrasahs

Abstract

A management information system is an information system that exists within an organization by carrying out functions to provide all information that affects all operations in an educational institution. The type of method used is library research, namely research in which the study uses library data in the form of books as a data source. To obtain optimal service quality in schools, much is determined by the ability to collaborate elements owned by schools that are mutually exclusive. related to showing that there is an integrated and complete service within the school. The systems used in schools vary according to the policies of the school or institution. There are many information systems used, one of which is Dapodik. The importance of information systems can simplify school services, especially in the administrative sector, and can also improve the quality of the school or institution. There are various types of information systems that can be used according to the needs of each school or institution

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keefektifan perencanaan, keefektifan metode supervisi akademik, kesesuaian hasil supervisi akademik kepala sekolah, dan mengetahui tindaklanjut hasil supervisi akademik kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu metode penelitian yang bersifat Studi kasus dan bertujuan untuk memperoleh keterangan, informasi, data mengenai hal-hal yang belum diketahui Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat dirumuskan simpulan sebagai berikut. (1) Keefektifan perencanaan supervisi akdemik kepala sekolah berada pada kategori efektif, (2) Keefektifan metode supervisi akademik kepala sekolah berada pada kategori efektif, (3) Kesesuaian pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dengan masalah yang dihadapi guru berada pada kategori efektif, (4) Tindaklanjut hasil supervisi akademik kepala sekolah diperoleh berada pada cukup efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan, maka peneliti memberikan saran kepada beberapa pihak seperti berikut ini: (1) Kepada pihak Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Boalemo hendaknya pelaksanaan supervisi akademik di sekolah dievaluasi dan dianalisis guna menemui berbagai bentuk kesulitan yang dapat diidentifikasi menjadi faktor penghambat kegiatan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah berdasarkan hasil monitoring dan evaluasi yang telah dilaksanakan dan faktor pendukung yang menjadi kekuatan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah, (2) Bagi kepala sekolah hendaknya dapat meningkatkan dan merumuskan atau merencanakan program supervisi akademik dengan melibatkan rapat bersama guru dan wakil kepala sekolah melalui pembentukan tim supervisi akademik sekolah melalui Surat Keputusan (SK) Kepala Sekolah, (3) Bagi guru hendaknya hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan informasi untuk meningkatkan profesional yang meliputi kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi keperibadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi professional, (4) Bagi forum MGMP hendaknya hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan bahan informasi untuk melakukan pembinaan guru secara kontinu dan sistematis pada kegiatan in service dan on service sehingga perbaikan kompetensi guru dapat ditingkatkan, (5) Bagi penulis hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan motivasi melakukan kegiatan penelitian ilmiah sehingga perbaikan proses pembelajaran dapat dilakukan secara berkesinambungan guna meningkatkan kompetensi professional.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the effectiveness in the management of Madrasah using balanced scorecard performance analysis, including using four perspectives, finance, customers, internal business processes and learning and growth in the Madrasah. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive model. Based on research that has been done, it is known that the management of the Madrasah with a balanced scorecard approach is categorized as good. Because the measurement in four perspectives is close to the expected target. After being measured by the balanced scorecard approach and then analyzed with the effectiveness indicators according to Danim, the results obtained by the management of the Jam'iyyah Islamiyyah Islamic boarding school can be said to be effective. Abstract

Terpinggirkannya lembaga pendidikan tradisional Islam ketika berhadapan dengan lembaga pendidikan modern yang lebih teratur ternyata tidak hanya terjadi di Nusantara, tetapi di negara lain seperti Turki, Mesir dan lainnya. Perkembangan masyarakat yang semakin kompetitif menuntut setiap orang untuk berkompetisi secara sehat. Demikian halnya dengan sebuah lembaga termasuk lembaga pendidikan Islam seperti halnya dengan pesantren kompetisi untuk merebut pasar menuntut setiap lembaga untuk mengedepankan kualitas serta mutu dalam proses menejerialnya maupun pembelajarannya. Mutu dalam pendidikan memiliki Karakteristik yang khas, karena pendidikan bukanlah industri. Dalam pendidikan, produk pendidikan itu bukanlah goods (barang) tetapi services (layanan). Namun demikian, para ahli pendidikan dalam Manajemen Mutu Terpadu (MMT) setidaknya menerapkan lima pilar, diantaranya: 1) fokus pada customer, 2) keterlibatan total, 3) pengukuran, 4) komitmen dan 5) perbaikan berkelanjutan

Abstract

The use of online children’s book to encourage students in extensive reading is one of creative strategies since it can improve students’ interests in reading. As English books that are difficult to find, many books are unaffordable for many people, and they also lack variety in terms of English levels and genre, online children’s book that is provided in story weaver platform can help students to get a wide variety of reading materials. Therefore, this paper explores the author’s experience in implementing online children’s book to encourage extensive reading in English Teaching during one semester in the Islamic Family Law Program Study and analyzing the students’ perception of the use of online children’s book in extensive reading practice. The participants are students of the second semester who take English 2 course. In this research, qualitative is used as a research method. The result showed that the students have positive attitudes towards online children’s book when they have to read extensively.

Abstract

Al-Quran menjelaskan bahwa segala sesuatu diciptakan oleh Allah berpasang-pasangan antara laki-laki danperempuan dan manusia (laki-laki) secara naluriah di samping mempunyai keinginan terhadap anak keturunan, harta kekayaan dan juga sangat menyukai lawan jenisnya perempuan), demikian pula sebaliknya. Untuk memberikan jalan terbaik bagi terjadinya “perhubungan” manusia dengan lain jenisnya itu, Islam menetapkan jalan atau suatu ketentuan yaitu perkawinan. Perkawinan yang baik adalah memelihara hakekat dan tujuan perkawinan. Telah dikenal ada banyak jenis perkawinan, salah satunya adalah kawin mut’ah. Bagaimana kawin mut’ah ini menurut Hukum Islam dan Hukum Nasional?. Nikah mut’ah ini merupakan salah satu pernikahan yang kontroversial. Uniknya, nikah mut’ah ini bahkan dilanggengkan dan dilestarikan oleh segolongan dengan mengatasnamakan agama. Nikah mut’ah di Indonesia dikenal juga dengan istilah kawin kontrak, secara kuantitatif sulit untuk didata, karena perkawinan kontrak itu dilaksanakan selain tidak dilaporkan, secara yuridis formal memang tidak diatur dalam peraturan apapun.

Abstract

This research undertaking aimed to investigate the role of technology in EFL Classroom at one of private college, in Tasikmalaya. This study is anchored on the Triple-E Framework of Liz Kolb which is a practical tool that measures the degree to which the technology in a lesson is helping students meet the learning goals. Respondents were asked on the effects of technology integration in the classroom based on the Dimensions of Triple-E Framework. Significant insights were also gained from the perceptions and responses from students regarding their exposure to technology tools as part of their learning process. The data from the survey yielded the diverse rankings of technology tools that were integrated in teaching methodologies. With a diverse frequency, technology is utilized in organizing text, images, audios, and videos through power point presentations in order to facilitate effective and efficient lecture and discussion for classroom interaction and enhancement. The data obtained from the survey identified the “Intermediate” Level of Literacy of the Integration of Information and technology tools. Among the ranking of tools that is commonly utilized were: laptop, DLP Projector, Smartphones while the most useful software were the Microsoft Office, Audios, Videos, Multimedia Players, Online Applications and resources as well as the Internet. The knowledge and skills in technology tool use determined in evaluation of the role of technology in achieving the learning objectives that aimed for the students which resulted among exceptional, strong and average connection. This study made an implication that the collaboration of in learning would help maximize and attain the learning objectives that could facilitate authentic development to the learners.
