Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to address the low level of student activeness in Akidah Akhlak learning, which is characterized by limited participation, low responsiveness, and passive engagement during classroom activities. This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of interactive quiz media based on Quizizz in enhancing student activeness and to provide an innovative digital learning alternative in Islamic education contexts. Design/methods– This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 30 students of the Islamic Education Study Program enrolled in the Akidah Akhlak course. Data were collected through observation sheets measuring student activeness, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative methods by calculating percentages of student activeness across cycles Findings – The results showed a significant improvement in student activeness after the implementation of Quizizz-based interactive quiz media. The percentage of active students increased from 30% in the pre-cycle to 60% in Cycle I and reached 85% in Cycle II. This indicates that Quizizz effectively enhances student engagement, participation, and responsiveness in learning. The iterative improvements across cycles confirm that integrating digital interactive media contributes positively to active learning environments.

Abstract

Purpose – This article aims to formulate an education quality mapping strategy based on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at the Balai Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (BPMP) D.I. Yogyakarta. The focus is directed at how quality mapping can function as an instrument for decision-making, advocacy, supervision, and facilitation of data-based education service improvement. Design/methods – This article uses a qualitative approach based on document study. The main sources consist of SPMI cycle documents, the 2026 PMP activity design of BPMP D.I. Yogyakarta, product knowledge of the 2025 Education Report Card data, and policy materials for improving education quality in D.I. Yogyakarta in 2026. The data were analyzed through content categorization based on the SPMI cycle, the Identification-Reflection-Improvement framework, and the relationship among indicators of the National Education Standards. Findings – The analysis shows that quality mapping needs to be positioned as a continuous improvement cycle, not merely as a data collection activity. This strategy includes standard setting, integration of internal and external data, identification of low or moderate achievements, tracing root causes through the eight National Education Standards, formulation of solution recommendations, and integration of mapping results into KSP, RKJM, RKT, RKAS, and ARKAS. The 2026 agenda of BPMP D.I. Yogyakarta demonstrates a strategic workflow through quality mapping, mapping of potential model schools, partnership facilitation, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation. The contribution of this article is a quality mapping strategy model based on SPMI that integrates the quality cycle, Education Report Card platform, and education planning documents.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the curriculum architecture of the Syarqi Program at Markaz Arabiyah, Pare, Kediri, by tracing the interconnection of objectives, content, strategies, media, evaluation, and learning environment within the IMTĀʾ framework and the language of CEFR learning outcomes. Design/methods – This research employed a qualitative case study based on document analysis. The data corpus included curriculum documents, subject structures, formulations of Basic Competencies and achievement indicators, evaluation schemes, descriptions of supporting programs, and visual artifacts as markers of practical context. The analysis was conducted through deductive coding based on IMTĀʾ components and the four language skills, then deepened inductively to read task types, language products, and competency trajectories. Findings – The documents show that the four language skills constitute the core of the curriculum and are strengthened through role play, storytelling, creative projects, discourse exercises, portfolios, and a dormitory-based immersion ecosystem. The mapping of Basic Competencies and achievement indicators reveals a trajectory from mastery of basic language elements toward communicative tasks that demand coherence, structural accuracy, and situational response. At the design level, the Syarqi Program indicates proximity to the al-Kifāyah spectrum and, in certain tasks, features moving toward at-Tamayyuz. However, the claim of CEFR A2-B1 proficiency still requires stable performance evidence and assessment procedures so that it does not remain merely a language of outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the implementation of an integrative entrepreneurship framework in Islamic education at SDI Al-Azhar 38 Bantul. The study focuses on how entrepreneurial values are integrated into Islamic education, how school programs support the development of students’ entrepreneurial skills, and how Islamic values such as honesty, trustworthiness, discipline, responsibility, creativity, and independence are internalized through learning activities and school-based entrepreneurship programs. Design/methods – This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews with Islamic education teachers, observations of learning and entrepreneurship activities, and documentation of curriculum, school programs, entrepreneurship modules, and evaluation documents. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the findings, the study used source and method triangulation by comparing interview, observation, and documentation data. Findings – The findings show that SDI Al-Azhar 38 Bantul implements an integrative entrepreneurship framework by connecting entrepreneurial concepts with Islamic education materials, classroom learning, extracurricular programs, project-based activities, Market Day, Student Led Conference, and the use of the Entrepreneur Lab. The integration is not limited to theoretical instruction but is practiced through students’ direct involvement in simple business projects, product creation, selling activities, and financial literacy exercises. Islamic values are embedded through daily habits and entrepreneurial practices, including honesty in transactions, discipline in worship and learning, responsibility in group projects, and creativity in producing marketable products. The supporting factors include competent teachers, school facilities, an integrative curriculum, parental involvement, foundation support, and regular teacher development activities. The challenges include the adaptation of new teachers, limited selling time, insufficient product display space, and students’ lack of confidence in offering products. Overall, the implementation contributes to the development of students’ soft skills, hard skills, independence, creativity, communication skills, teamwork, and Islamic entrepreneurial character.

Abstract

Purpose – This study explains the importance of a nonformal Arabic language course model for adult learners who require functional competence in religious practice and everyday communication. It also examines how LPBA Al-Ankabut Jambi designs and operates a multichannel learning ecosystem while maintaining alignment across channels. Design/methods – A qualitative document analysis was conducted on program and level descriptions, thematic units, digital learning materials, including interactive audio-video slides, exercise and assignment guidelines, unit quiz designs, level project descriptions, and platform artifacts such as the LMS, website, and social media channels. These documents were thematically coded and interpreted through the IMTĀʾ framework to connect objectives, content, strategies, media, and assessment, without positioning the study as an institutional feasibility or quality audit. Findings – LPBA Al-Ankabut Jambi standardizes its content around the Al-ʿArabiyyah Bayna Yadayk series, adopts a communicative orientation with limited translation, and uses multimodal scaffolding to support comprehension. Assessment is organized into three layers: unit quizzes, mid-level and final-level examinations, and performance-based projects requiring integrated skills. However, the available artifacts do not provide standardized test-based outcome tracking or longitudinal evidence; therefore, the conclusions describe the design and operational logic rather than learning impact.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the implementation of the link and match program between SMK TI Bina Citra Informatika Purwokerto and the business and industrial sector (DUDI) in improving graduates' work readiness. The study is motivated by the persistent gap between vocational graduates' competencies and industry requirements, as reflected in the low employment absorption rate despite the implementation of various industry partnership programs. Design/methods – This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum and students, and document analysis, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), industry partnership records, tracer study reports of the 2024/2025 graduates, and documents related to the Special Employment Exchange (BKK). Data were analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation. Findings – The findings indicate that the link and match program has been implemented through curriculum synchronization, one-semester Field Work Practice (PKL), guest lecturer programs, teacher internships, and graduate recruitment in collaboration with three industrial partners. However, these collaborative initiatives have not yet resulted in optimal graduate employment outcomes. Of the 67 graduates, only 20.9% were employed, while 65.7% remained in the job-seeking phase. Limited mastery of basic vocational competencies and employability skills was identified as the primary factor constraining graduates' work readiness. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of the link and match program depends not only on sustained collaboration between vocational schools and industry, but also on strengthening competency-based learning and expanding industrial partnership networks

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the implementation of multi-technique cooperative learning through Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and to examine its implications for developing students’ interpersonal intelligence in Islamic education learning, specifically in fiqh classes at MAN 1 Mojokerto. The study addresses the need for more dynamic and interactive learning strategies that not only improve cognitive achievement but also enhance students’ social competencies in the 21st-century learning context. Design/methods – This study employed a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. The research data were collected through six classroom observations, in-depth interviews with one Islamic education (Fiqh) teacher and ten students, as well as documentation of learning activities in classes XI KMP 6 and XI KMP 8, with a total of 32 students as the research context. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation (teachers, students, and the vice principal of curriculum) and technique triangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation) to enhance the credibility of the research findings. Findings – The findings reveal that the integration of STAD and NHT created a more active, interactive, and participatory learning environment. STAD enhanced group collaboration through positive interdependence among students, while NHT strengthened individual accountability in mastering learning materials. The combination of both techniques contributed to the development of students’ interpersonal intelligence, reflected in improved social skills, communication abilities, leadership behavior, and empathy. The classroom interaction patterns indicate that cooperative learning provides an effective space for fostering both academic engagement and social character development.
