Abstract

Personal Growth Initiative (PGI) refers to an individual's ability to actively and intentionally engage in the process of personal development. This ability is essential for peer counsellors because they serve as psychological support providers and positive role models for their peers. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of goal setting-based self-management training in improving Personal Growth Initiative among peer counsellors at UIN Malang. This study employed a quantitative experimental approach using a one group pre-test post-test design. The participants consisted of 10 active peer counsellors aged 19–20 years who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Personal Growth Initiative scale adapted from the Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II (PGIS-II). The intervention was conducted through two training sessions consisting of assessment, cognitive reconstruction, and behavioural modification through goal setting, self-monitoring, and self-evaluation. The results showed an increase in the average PGI score from 69.90 to 79.30 after the intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test analysis indicated a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (Z = −2.701; p = 0.004 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the training improved participants' ability to establish goals, manage themselves, and perform intentional actions toward personal development. In conclusion, goal setting-based self-management training is effective in improving Personal Growth Initiative among peer counsellors at UIN Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of multicultural values in the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (P5) Program at SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Sindur during the 2025/2026 academic year, focusing on planning instruments, implementation, inhibiting factors, and mitigation strategies. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection methods included interviews with teachers and students, observations of P5 activities, and document studies of school planning and national guidelines. The results indicate that planning instruments involve mapping student diversity and integrating values of tolerance and inclusivity into P5 themes such as "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" and "Local Wisdom." Implementation occurs through collaborative activities like Market Day and Eco Brick, fostering empathy and mutual cooperation. However, major obstacles include limited teacher understanding of multiculturalism concepts, inadequate facilities, and minimal parental support. Mitigation steps encompass ongoing teacher capacity-building training, development of applicable project modules, and creation of an inclusive school ecosystem through stakeholder collaboration. This research contributes to the development of a multicultural education model aligned with Pancasila and Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, with implications for strengthening student character in rural schools.

Abstract

In the era of rapid digital transformation, the determinants of consumer loyalty are undergoing fundamental shifts. Two emerging factors of increasing significance are algorithmic transparency and digital fatigue resilience. Objective: This study aims to map the scientific evidence on the role of algorithmic transparency and digital fatigue as new determinants of consumer loyalty in the digital ecosystem. Methods: A scoping review was conducted following the Arksey and O’Malley (2005) framework updated by Levac et al. (2010), with PRISMA-ScR reporting (Tricco et al., 2018) using the PCC format. A protocol was developed before searches in Scopus (primary), Web of Science, and Google Scholar, period 2019–2025. A total of 9 articles met the inclusion criteria and were thematically analyzed. Results: Three major themes were identified: (1) algorithmic transparency as a mediator of digital trust (n=4); (2) digital fatigue as a moderator of engagement and loyalty (n=3); (3) the interaction between transparency and fatigue in shaping long-term loyalty behaviors (n=2). The review found that consumers exposed to clear algorithmic explanations demonstrated higher trust and loyalty, while high levels of digital fatigue weakened the relationship between personalization and loyalty. Conclusion: Algorithmic transparency and digital fatigue management are two critical determinants that need to be integrated into consumer retention strategies in the digital age.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze and map previous studies that examine the influence of flash sale and live streaming promotion strategies on impulse buying behavior within e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. This study uses a scoping review approach by analyzing 10 empirical studies published between 2021 and 2026. The analysis shows that flash sales play a significant role in encouraging impulse purchases by creating a sense of urgency and scarcity. Meanwhile, interactivity stimuli from live streaming elevates consumer arousal, thereby increasing impulsive buying tendencies. These findings suggest that combining live streaming with flash sales in contemporary e-commerce ecosystems can mutually enhance each strategy’s effectiveness. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of research trends, gaps in existing literature, and potential directions for future studies. The mapped findings are intended to serve as a reference for e-commerce practitioners in developing more effective and sustainable marketing strategies aligned with consumer behavior.

Abstract

Mathematical conceptual understanding is one of the essential abilities in learning; however, this ability is still considered relatively low. Therefore, a Problem Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon is needed to help visualize and manipulate objects in order to overcome the abstract nature of learning. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The sample was selected using a nonequivalent control group design, while data on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding were collected through a test instrument. The data were analyzed using the N-Gain test, Independent Samples t-Test, and simple linear regression at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the average mathematical conceptual understanding of students who received the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon was higher than that of students who received conventional instruction. Furthermore, the simple linear regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding, with the R Square Change and effect size values demonstrating a substantial contribution and strong effectiveness of the treatment between the two groups. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon had a positive effect on and improved students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon can serve as an alternative instructional model to enhance students’ mathematical conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has enabled real-time access to geopolitical information, increasing individuals' anxiety and encouraging them to seek specific patterns within a series of random events. This experimental study aimed to examine the effect of data narrative manipulation on the perception of illusory patterns in the Pentagon Pizza Index phenomenon by investigating the moderating roles of geopolitical anxiety and individuals' desire for control. The experiment employed a between-subject post-test-only design conducted through face-to-face sessions in a controlled environment. A total of 124 participants were involved in the experiment over seven different days and were assigned to either the experimental group or the control group based on their seat numbers. Measurements were conducted using adapted versions of the Generic Conspiracist Beliefs Scale (GCBS), Fear of War Scale (FORWARS), and the Desirability of Control Scale. Data were analyzed using Andrew F. Hayes' PROCESS Macro v4.2, Model 2. The regression analysis revealed that data narrative manipulation did not significantly influence individuals' perception of illusory patterns (b = −0.1672; p = 0.5328). Furthermore, neither geopolitical anxiety (p = 0.6976) nor desire for control (p = 0.2462) significantly moderated the relationship. These findings suggest that modern society is increasingly capable of filtering circulating information through an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) culture, leading the Pentagon Pizza Index phenomenon to be perceived merely as an internet trend.
