EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mental toughness and emotional intelligence on exercise anxiety. This study uses a quantitative approach with an asymmetric regression research design. In this study, a sample of 24 basketball athletes from Cita Hati Surabaya High School was used with a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis techniques anxiety. Multiple regression analysis revealed that F = 1.874 with a significance of 0.178 > 0.05 was not significant. Arinya, you stated that mental toughness and emotional intelligence have no effect on sports anxiety. While partially on the mental toughness variable, the value of t = -1.546 is obtained with a significance of 0.137 > 0.05, not significant. This means that the mental toughness variable partially has no significant effect on the sports anxiety variable. In the emotional intelligence variable, the value of t = -0.888 is obtained with a significance of 0.385 > 0.05, which is not significant. This means that the emotional intelligence variable partially has no significant effect on the sports anxiety variable.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital literacy instrument for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers that serves to measure the extent of teachers' digital literacy. This research involved 166 teacher respondents in MI in Bogor City. The research method used is the Plomp Model, also known as design research, which has stages such as preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase in the development process. The instrument developed in the form of a questionnaire that has been made is first validated by 2 expert validators (material and evaluation), after being declared valid by expert validators, the questionnaire is then carried out a limited test to calculate the level of validity and reliability of each question item. The questionnaire uses a Likert scale with 4 categories of answer choices (often, rarely, ever, never). The results of the study can be concluded that The question items that can be used as data collection tools on the digital literacy questionnaire instrument are 50 question items and are categorized as valid and can be used as a teacher digital literacy evaluation tool. Based on the validity calculation, it can be seen that 78% of the question items can be used as data collection tools with high and sufficient validity categories. While the other 22% can be used by making improvements first with low validity. Based on reliability criteria, the digital literacy questionnaire shows very high-reliability criteria (0.860) with a reliability level greater than 0.7.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Casb Ratio, Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Company Size on Company Value in the pharmaceutical sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2018 – 2022. The sample for this study were 8 companies in the pharmaceutical sub-sector that were registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period. This research was conducted using the panel data regression method assisted by the Eviews 10 program and Microsoft Excel 2016. The results showed that Cash Ratio, Return On Equity, and Firm Size partially had no significant effect on Firm Value. Meanwhile, the Debt to Equity Ratio has an effect on Firm Value.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Al-Qur'an reading habituation program before teaching and learning activities (KBM) at MTSN 1 Padang Lawas. MTSN 1 Padang Lawas is one of the madrasas that carries out the habit of reading the Al-Qur'an for 15 minutes before learning begins, which is guided and led by the first tutor. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out by looking at ongoing events and processes. The data source was taken directly from the first data source, namely the Madrasah Head, Religion Teacher, Subject Teacher, and Students. The results of this research are the steps in implementing the Al-Qur’an reading habituation program at MTSN 1 Padang Lawas, starting from reading in turns between one student and another according to the teacher's instructions, then listening and listening directly by the teacher, after that it is understood together, evaluation and providing motivation from the teacher. Apart from that, supporting and inhibiting factors for this program were also found. Supporting factors for this program are the availability of the Al-Qur’an, student interest, conducive classes and motivation. The inhibiting factors are the lack of time allocation and the background of each student which causes their reading abilities to be unequal.

Abstract

Education in the digital era requires the development of learning methods that are innovative and responsive to technological advances. Digital literacy and the use of learning media have an important role in improving student learning achievement. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of digital literacy and the use of learning media on student learning achievement at Taruna Pembangunan Intensive High School Surabaya. Digital literacy is considered the key to opening students' access to digital learning resources, improving understanding and providing a competitive advantage. The use of learning media with various approaches is also considered to have a positive impact on student learning achievement. Using quantitative methods, data was collected from 148 class XI students via questionnaire. Regression analysis is used to evaluate the relationship between variables. The research results show that the two independent variables have a significant influence on student learning achievement. Therefore, it is recommended to increase digital literacy and utilize learning media in curriculum planning and learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education of PAI teachers to the religious morality of junior high school students. This research uses a qualitative case study. In this study, data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. A direct observation approach was used in this study, where researchers went directly to the research location to make observations and record data systematically using instruments as a guide. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Panjatan, Kulon Progo Karangasem Surakarta which is located in Gotakan, Panjatan Kec, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. Students of SMP Negeri 1 Panjatan, Kulon Progo participated in this research. The results of this study The teacher has succeeded in instilling religious character education in students through the habituation method and applying it well to students. In improving and instilling religious character values in students, teachers take a habituation approach to students. It is known that sanctions in the form of punishment are effective in improving and developing students' religious character. Students can develop good habits in everyday life without coercion with this habituation method. The efforts made by teachers to instill students' religious character using the habituation method in terms of obedience to God make many students worship regularly and obediently without coercion from the teacher.

Abstract

Effective communication relies heavily on one's speaking ability, which is crucial not only in one's native language but also foreign languages, especially challenging during the secondary school years. This study aimed to improve students' speaking comprehension through a collaborative learning approach. Using qualitative research methods, data were collected through questionnaires from eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Muara Bungo in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample consisted of one class, namely class XI IPA, which consisted of 36 students from a total population of 90 students. The findings demonstrate the efficacy of collaborative strategies in improving speaking comprehension, fostering students' confidence in articulating ideas during the learning process. Collaborative learning facilitates the production of more argument components, leading to a higher level of discourse. In addition, it enhances students' cognitive ability to remember, understand, apply and analyze information. Therefore, collaborative learning emerges as a promising classroom strategy to improve students' speaking comprehension. However, various challenges and variables affect students' success in utilizing collaborative strategies for English language learning.

Abstract

This article explores effective strategies for enhancing English vocabulary, crucial for academic success and communication proficiency. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the study investigates the impact of exposure to television series on the vocabulary acquisition of eleventh-grade students at MAS AS’AD Jambi during the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to a sample consisting of one class of 33 students from the tenth-grade cohorts in Science (IPA), Social Studies (IPS), and Islamic Education (PAI). The findings suggest that extensive exposure to television series significantly enhances students' vocabulary in terms of both meaning and structure. Furthermore, the results indicate that students who received vocabulary pre-teaching generally outperformed their peers, regardless of the language of the on-screen texts. The study concludes that television shows can substantially boost students' vocabulary skills, offering valuable insights for educational strategies in language acquisition.

Abstract

ln education, achieving learning goals with good Iearning outcomes is a driving force that motivates individuals to do it optimally, and it is one of the desires that must be fulfilled. ln order to achieve learning goals, teachers are also required to understand and choose strategies, methods, or media that are engaging for students to implement. This is because several research studies have shown a positive relationship between learning strategies and students' learning achievements, with the frequency of using learning strategies significantly predicting academic performance or student achievement. Therefore, this study aims to determine the influence of the true or false strategy on students' learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh in class VIII of MTSS Proyek Kandepag Medan. The method used in this study is quantitative research with quasi-experimental research data analysis, using a non-equivalent controi group design. The sampling technique used as purposive sampling, with two research samples, namely class VIII A (Control Class) and VlIl B (Experimental Class), the research instrument used was a test instrument consisting of 20 true or false statements. The research results found an average with the control class of 55.32, while the experimental class obtained an average of 79.86, so in this case, the true or false strategy influences the learning outcomes of students in the Fiqh subject.

Abstract

The position of English in Indonesia as a foreign language requires teachers to be more creative in using the right approach in teaching EFL classes. One approach teachers widely apply is the CTL approach because it is considered by them to combine the four skills in English, namely listening, speaking, and reading. and writing. However, the application of the CLT approach depends more or less on the character of the class being taught and is influenced by several factors, including the geographical location of an area where Sebatik Island is geographically located on the border of Indonesia and Malaysia. It makes the application of the CLT approach may be different from other areas find borders with other countries. This research aims to qualitatively describe the implementation of the CLT approach in the classroom by English teachers on Sebatik Island and the challenges they face in implementing it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods were collected through observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and triangulation involving four respondents from several junior high schools on Sebatik Island. The data collected was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model consisting of three activity streams that co-occurred: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the data analysis using the model, the geographical location of Sebatik Island, which directly borders Malaysia, positively contributes to students' communication skills. However, the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach by teachers on Sebatik Island is not free from several challenges, namely the lack of understanding among some teachers regarding the importance of this approach in learning English, the provision of supporting facilities, support from various parties including school principals and Government Agencies Education, as well as the political dynamics in the regions, which tend to be unproductive in developing teacher competency.
