Reproductive health according to the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 61 of 2014 is a state of complete physical, mental, and social health, not merely free from disease or disability related to the reproductive system, function, and process. This situation requires the availability of adolescent-friendly health services that can meet the health needs of adolescents, especially reproductive health services that are friendly to adolescents. The purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of the reproductive health-conscious generation. Increasing the knowledge and skills of Alifah University students actively and independently in maintaining reproductive health and becoming a generation that is aware of reproductive health. The implementation of community service was carried out on December 16-17, 2024 through lectures, discussions and distribution of leaflets. Based on these problems, an increase in the generation's understanding of the importance of reproductive health was carried out. Evaluation was carried out with a pre-test and post-test. The elderly represent a vulnerable age group that often experiences a decline in physical, psychological, and social functions, ultimately affecting their quality of life. In the working area of Andalas Public Health Center in Padang, low participation in physical activities among the elderly is still evident due to limited knowledge and motivation. This community service program aimed to improve the quality of life of the elderly through physical activity education tailored to their abilities. Activities included interactive health education sessions, elderly exercise training, and the distribution of physical activity guidebooks. The participants consisted of 20 elderly individuals. Instruments used in this program included observation sheets to assess participation, the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire to measure quality of life before and after the intervention, and a participant satisfaction evaluation form. The evaluation method involved a pre-test and post-test approach along with a focus group discussion (FGD) to explore perceptions and the impact of the education provided. The results showed an increase in elderly knowledge about the benefits of physical activity and improved quality of life scores, particularly in physical and psychological domains. Physical activity education has proven to be an effective promotive and preventive intervention in supporting elderly health at the community level.

Pregnant women who are exposed to cigarette smoke or become passive smokers have a high risk of experiencing pregnancy complications, such as premature birth and low birth weight (LBW). Many of them are unaware of these dangers, especially due to the lack of proper education. Counseling is necessary to help pregnant women understand the risks they face and to enable them to take preventive measures. This community service program was carried out at Clinic Rika Hardi, where it was found that several pregnant women were still exposed to cigarette smoke at home and had never received any related education. This condition became the main reason for conducting counseling to better safeguard the health of both mother and fetus. The risk factors for LBW are closely related to maternal health problems during pregnancy and childbirth, one of which is exposure to cigarette smoke during pregnancy. Cigarette smoke can affect fetal development because nicotine and carbon monoxide in cigarettes interfere with the transfer of nutrients from the mother to the fetus. This has a direct impact on fetal growth. Pregnant women who are exposed to cigarette smoke from family members at home are nine times more likely to give birth to a baby with low birth weight. Based on the results of the community service activity, 100% of participants were able to complete the evaluation questionnaire on the effectiveness of counseling activities using PowerPoint presentations and educational videos, and 100% participated in individual counseling sessions. It is expected that Rika Hardi clinic will be able to continue follow-up efforts for pregnant women who are passive smokers.

The members of the farmer group (Gapoktan) often report experiencing lower back pain, which is suspected to be related to work activities performed in a non-ergonomic manner. This is supported by data from the Self - Awareness Survey, which revealed that within a week, farmers can carry loads weighing between 0–100 kg directly by lifting them on their shoulders. This condition leads to symptoms of Low Back Pain (LBP), a common musculoskeletal disorder resulting from improper body posture during work. LBP is characterized by pain in the lower back area and can be caused by various factors such as congenital spinal abnormalities, physical trauma, changes in body tissue, or excessive weight-bearing. Although it is more commonly experienced by the elderly, LBP can also affect younger individuals. As an effort to enhance farmers’ understanding and awareness of LBP, a community service activity was conducted in November 2024. This event was attended by 16 local farmers. The method of implementation included a presentation on LBP, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. Additionally, pre-tests and post-tests were administered to assess participants’ knowledge before and after the session. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge scores. This was evidenced by a statistically significant difference between the pretest and post-test scores, with a p-value of 0.001. Through this socialization exercise, it is intended that participants would learn more about low back pain.

HIV AIDS is still a public health problem in Indonesia, with the number of cases reaching 543,100. Key populations such as sex workers, injecting drug users, men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgenders contribute a relatively high proportion of cases. Lack of knowledge and low awareness of the importance of early detection are the main obstacles in prevention efforts. This community service aims to increase knowledge and attitudes and encourage independent HIV screening behavior in key populations through education. The activity methods include counseling and the distribution of leaflets. The activity was carried out in January 2025 in Padang, involving 25 participants from key populations. The stages of this community service include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation results of this activity were an increase in knowledge from 55% to 78% and a positive attitude from 50% to 75%, so it can be concluded that community-based education can increase understanding and attitudes about early detection of HIV among key populations.

Adolescent obesity can increase the risk of various non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, later in life. Therefore, early detection of obesity and education on healthy eating habits are strategic steps in preventing the long-term effects of obesity. This community service activity aims to raise adolescents’ awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy eating patterns and to provide an understanding of Body Mass Index (BMI) as an indicator of nutritional status. Education is delivered through seminars and interactive discussions involving healthcare professionals and nutritionists. In addition to education, direct BMI measurement sessions were conducted for all participants. These measurements aimed to provide an overview of each participant’s nutritional status and served as an initial step in the early detection of obesity. The results were then consulted with healthcare professionals, allowing participants to understand whether they fell into the underweight, normal, or obese categories. Participants with above-normal BMI values received recommendations for lifestyle changes under the guidance of healthcare professionals. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on adolescents’ awareness and behavior in maintaining their physical health.

Peer support groups are an effective strategy in increasing knowledge, attitudes, and awareness of HIV prevention among adolescents. Health messages conveyed between adolescents are more easily accepted because they have strong social relationships and trust with each other. This activity aims to implement effective communication in peer support groups so that they can become pioneers of healthy behavior in the school environment. The implementation of this activity is a collaboration with the KPA Ternate City, the location of the activity at SMP Negeri 6 Ternate City on Friday, December 5, 2025. The method used was role-playing and discussion. Participants were representatives of junior high school students in Ternate City, the number of participants was 42 people consisting of 76.2% female, the largest age was 14 years (45.2%), the youngest age was 12 years and the oldest age was 15 years. All were 7th grade students. The results of the role-playing activity showed that 4 groups were able to practice the role of peer agents, formulating mini-dramas based on predetermined themes. Based on the mini drama script and discussion, it was seen that participants were able to explain the impact of HIV on adolescents, issues of healthy interpersonal relationships including issues of stigma and discrimination, healthy communication about sexuality and relationships, and the role of adolescents as peer educators.
