Abstract

Compaction is a crucial factor that affects the quality and performance of road pavements. This study evaluates the impact of varying compaction blows at the optimum asphalt content on Lataston (HRS-Base) mixtures using the Marshall Test method. The tested compaction variations are 2 x 40, 2 x 50, 2 x 60, and 2 x 70 blows. The results show that stability values increase from 841.19 kg at 2 x 40 blows to 1151.42 kg at 2 x 70 blows. Flow values decrease from 3.45 mm at 2 x 40 blows to 3.18 mm at 2 x 70 blows. The Marshall Quotient (MQ) increases from 243.85 kg/mm at 2 x 40 blows to 362.72 kg/mm at 2 x 70 blows. The Void in the Mineral Aggregate (VMA) decreases from 19.30% at 2 x 40 blows to 17.02% at 2 x 70 blows. The Void in Mix (VIM) also decreases from 5.22% at 2 x 40 blows to 2.54% at 2 x 70 blows. The Void Filled with Asphalt (VFA) increases from 72.94% at 2 x 40 blows to 85.10% at 2 x 70 blows. The density of the mixture increases from 2.271 gr/cm³ at 2 x 40 blows to 2.335 gr/cm³ at 2 x 70 blows. However, only the 2 x 50 blows variation meets all the parameters specified in Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2. The 2 x 40 blows compaction results in low MQ and high VIM, while the 2 x 60 and 2 x 70 blows compaction results in VIM below the minimum limit. These findings highlight the importance of balanced compaction to enhance road pavement quality.

Abstract

According to SNI 1726-2019, hospitals are in category IV building risk which has high factor importance for building planning against earthquakes. Therefore, an evaluation of buildings is needed which is not only affected by earthquakes but also the strength, stiffness, and ductility of the building itself. This study aims to produce the performance of the Guido Valadares National Pediatric Hospital and ICCU Building using pushover analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is a deviation failure caused by the presence of a ramp on one side of the building which results in greater stiffness on that side than on the other side of the building. A new structural system is applied on the lower side of the building with bracing reinforcement to create balance for the building. The new design results reveal better building structure performance and it is in accordance with applicable standards.

Abstract

A construction project is a series of activities to achieve a goal within certain time, cost and quality limits. Construction projects require resources, namely humans, materials, equipment, implementation methods, money, information and time (Kerzner 2009). Project resources are planned to achieve project goals within time, cost and quality constraints. The challenge in project implementation is how to plan an effective time schedule and efficient cost planning without reducing quality. In the road improvement project in Batuplat sub-district, the Earned Value method has not been applied as this method functions as a tool for evaluating project performance and the results of this evaluation can be used to estimate whether the project can be completed on time or not. From the results of initial observations, the author knows that in the project implementation process, weekly evaluations were not carried out, this could result in the contractor not knowing what obstacles could prevent the project from being completed on time. The author considers that the absence of this method cannot provide an estimate that this project can be completed on time because there are two possibilities that this project can be completed on time or not.

Abstract

In an effort to stimulate the economy in Sorong Regency, transportation infrastructure is needed that can support the economy in the area, so that alternative roads are built to facilitate the community's economy to carry out activities, both accessibility and mobility of goods and services. One way to ensure that the thickness of the pavement does not suffer damage and can be used for a relatively long period of time is that the pavement structure needs to be planned properly. The aim of this research is to determine the thickness of the flexible pavement layer required on the Aimas Ring Road road section so that it meets needs. In planning pavement thickness, there are several methods that can be used. The method used to plan the thickness of road surface layers is the Component Analysis Method. The research results show that the thickness of the surface layer uses MS 774 kg lasbutag with a thickness of 8 cm and the top foundation layer uses class A aggregate material with a minimum thickness = 20 cm. Meanwhile, for the lower foundation layer, class B sirtu/pitrun with a minimum thickness of 10 cm is used

Abstract

Roads are one of the most important infrastructures in carrying out economic activities, both accessibility and mobility of goods and services. As one of the connecting sections between districts which is also the main alternative section to go to the South Sorong Regent Office and Scholoo Keyen Hospital, the condition of the Teminabuan - Ayamaru Km 6 + 510 - Km 7 + 240 road has suffered severe damage such as cracks, bumpy roads, potholes and subsidence in the foundation layer. For this reason, it is necessary to repair roads. The method used in evaluating the thickness of bending pavement on the road is the Component Analysis method. This research method starts by collecting primary data and secondary data, namely CBR, LHR and rainfall data obtained directly from BMKG. Based on the results of analysis and calculations that have been carried out using the Component Analysis method on the Teminabuan - Ayamaru Km 6 + 510 - Km 7 + 240 road section, the thickness of each layer is obtained including the surface layer using Asphal Macadam with a thickness of 5 cm, the top foundation layer using 100% CBR Class A Crushed Stone with a thickness of 20 cm and the bottom foundation layer using 70% CBR Class A Sirtu with a thickness of 10 cm

Abstract

Overcoming the problem of time delays requires handling using proven methods or alternatives such as adding work groups or adding working hours. Adding working hours and labor is usually used as a solution to speed up the completion time of a project because by adding working hours, the time that can be used to work increases so that the resulting production increases and the completion time. Adding working groups and working hours to the selected work items from the critical path, namely Class A Aggregate Foundation Layer, Wearing Layer Laston and Fc 15 mpa Concrete Structure produces a new minimum production so that the completion time of the three work items is reduced, but also increases the costs required to complete the work items. Adding Working Hours (Overtime) to the three work items on the critical path, the first hour of completion duration is reduced by 12.5% in the completion duration of the work item, the 2nd hour by 22.22% in the work item, the 3rd hour by 30% in the work item. While the cost of Class A Aggregate Foundation Layer, the 1st working hour cost is 0.15%, the 2nd hour is 0.31%, the 3rd hour is 0.31%. In the Wear Layer Laston work item, the cost is 0.08% in the 2nd hour, 0.16% in the 3rd hour and 0.16%. In the fc 15 Mpa Concrete structure work item, the 1st working hour is 2.01%, the 2nd hour is 4.01% and the 3rd hour is 4.01%. The addition of labor groups for the Class A Aggregate Foundation Layer work item, the duration is reduced by 32%, the Wear Layer Laston work item is 13%, and in the Fc 15 Mpa Concrete Structure work item is 50%. The cost of the Class A Aggregate Foundation Layer work item increased by 0.37%, the Wearing Layer Laston work item increased by 8.03% and the fc 15 Mpa Concrete Structure work item did not experience an increase.

Abstract

Water is a basic need for human life, where its availability and optimal distribution play an important role in improving people's welfare. One of the water sources that is commonly used is groundwater. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of East Nusa Tenggara in 2018, there are 2,576 groundwater springs in the province, with 666 of them in South Central Timor Regency. However, challenges in the clean water distribution system, such as limited access and difficult geographical conditions, often hinder the fulfillment of water needs for the community. This study aims to analyze the hydraulic conditions of the clean water transmission network at SPAM Bonleu, Tobu District, South Central Timor Regency. The research methods include literature studies, data collection through field studies, data processing using AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPACAD, and EPANET V2.0 software, as well as hydraulic analysis of pressure, flow velocity, and head loss in the transmission network. The modeling results show that the pressure in the network is greater than the required standard, which is more than 250 m of water column. The flow velocity meets the minimum standard of 0.3 m/s, while the head loss is within the permitted limit, which is not less than 10 m/km. However, there is one parameter that does not meet the requirements, so further evaluation is needed for system optimization

Abstract

The Gor Flobamora-Kejora Road section is one of the alternative routes connecting Oebufu and Tofa District. Damage that occurs on this route is a major factor in disrupting accessibility, comfort and safety. Inconsistencies in planning with construction and use of pavement often cause damage, so an evaluation is needed in determining actions to improve the quality of road service life. This study aims to assess the condition of the road pavement and redesign the pavement. The road condition assessment method uses the 1990 Bina Marga method and the Surface Distress Index (SDI) method, while to redesign the pavement using the 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual Method. The results of the analysis show that the highest SDI value is 115 with minor damage conditions, it is recommended for road rehabilitation, while the Bina Marga method shows the highest Priority Sequence value is 6, with recommendations for periodic maintenance. The dominant type of damage is potholes, with a percentage of damage of 31.56%. The proposed pavement redesign uses flexible pavement with a layer thickness of 4 cm AC WC, 6 cm AC BC, 8 cm AC Base, and 15 cm Class A LPA

Abstract

Embung Kecil Manulai II is one of the air storage infrastructures that plays an important role in supporting air needs in the community area of Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to turn on the reservoir's storage capacity, analyze the potential to provide air needs, and identify gaps in its management. The methods used include hydrological data collection, analysis of the mainstay discharge, and simulation of storage capacity using hydrological software. The results of the study indicate that Embung Kecil Manulai II is able to accommodate air up to a certain maximum capacity to meet irrigation and domestic needs, especially during the rainy season. However, during the dry season, water availability tends to decrease significantly, so more optimal management is needed, including the use of rainwater harvesting technology and strengthening community participation. The simulation model developed provides an overview of the reservoir's performance projections in various climate scenarios and future air needs. This study is expected to be the basis for planning effective and sustainable water resource management in the region.

Abstract

The higher the number of users of transportation services in urban areas, the more traffic jams in these areas will increase. Sorong City 17 Public Elementary School, is located right on the side of the road where the road is categorized as a Primary Collector road group. The location with the many vehicles that pass through the road, makes the intensity of the noise generated even higher. In educational institutions, what is needed is a calm and comfortable environment. The environment is also a factor that influences the learning concentration of students in receiving lessons. high traffic noise for a long time will cause discomfort. The purpose of this study was to find out the results of noise level analysis and to find out whether students' learning concentration was affected by the noise generated by vehicle traffic. The calculation method uses CoRTN which is reviewed from the characteristics of land use for the School Area. The results of this study show the time range and location points with the highest noise level of 69.8 dBA at point 1 and the lowest noise value of 61.1 dBA at point 2 which is located on the 2nd floor while based on the noise level questionnaire analysis there are 52% of respondents agree that the noise The high school level interferes with students' concentration in class.
