Abstract

The flash flood and landslide disasters that struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra in late November 2025 claimed more than 900 lives and caused economic losses reaching Rp 68.67 trillion. This paper seeks to normatively examine various provisions regarding the utilization of forest areas for the realization of strategic development projects, which have become the cause of the Sumatra flash flood problem at the normative level. By applying normative legal research methods, the main findings indicate various problems in the use of forest areas for strategic development interests, including attempts to legitimize illegal forest area utilization, and the absence of legal provisions regarding remediation in cases of forest area use violations that caused the Sumatra floods, and absence of legal guarantees for non-recurrence of the violation. These conditions contradict the principles contained in the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Akidah Akhlak learning at MTs Az-Ziro’ah Al-Washliyah Firdaus, the Islamic character values and integrity instilled through the learning process, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping Islamic youth character with integrity. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the Akidah Akhlak teacher and eighth-grade students. The results of the study show that the implementation of Akidah Akhlak learning is carried out effectively through lectures, discussions, role modeling, and religious activities. The Islamic character values instilled include honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, politeness, and patience. Integrity values are reflected in students’ consistent behavior that aligns with Islamic principles in both words and actions. Supporting factors in character formation include the exemplary conduct of teachers, a religious school environment, and parental involvement. Inhibiting factors include negative external influences, social media, and limited instructional time. In conclusion, Akidah Akhlak learning plays a strategic role in developing students’ Islamic character and integrity. Continuous and collaborative efforts among teachers, schools, students, and parents are essential in fostering a generation that is not only intellectually capable but also morally and spiritually strong.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Scout extracurricular activities in shaping students' noble character at MTs Negeri 2 Deli Serdang, as well as the implications, supporting factors, and obstacles. The research used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews involving Scout instructors, Akidah Akhlak teachers, the principal, vice principal, and students. The results show that Scout extracurricular activities effectively integrate noble character values into students’ real-life experiences, supported by school policies and systematic guidance. Positive implications include improvements in individual attitudes and the quality of the school’s social environment. Supporting factors include student enthusiasm, instructor support, and school policies, while obstacles involve limited time, student fatigue, and technical constraints. The study recommends enhancing instructor training and better time management to optimize noble character development through Scout activities

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode bermain peran terhadap peningkatan karakter percaya diri anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK IT Insan Mulia Sungai Abu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode bermain peran efektif dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak. Anak menjadi lebih berani tampil di depan teman, mampu berkomunikasi dengan lancar, serta menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan sosial dan emosional. Selain itu, kegiatan bermain peran juga membantu anak mengembangkan imajinasi, pemahaman terhadap peran sosial, dan kemampuan bekerja sama. Dengan demikian, metode bermain peran dapat dijadikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna dalam menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri anak sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Perilaku merokok di lingkungan kampus masih menjadi permasalahan yang cukup serius karena dapat mengganggu kenyamanan, kebersihan, dan kesehatan civitas akademika. Sebagai bentuk upaya pemerintah daerah dalam menanggulangi masalah tersebut, Pemerintah Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara menetapkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 5 Tahun 2016 tentang Kawasan Tanpa Rokok (KTR) yang mengatur pembatasan aktivitas merokok di area publik, termasuk lingkungan pendidikan tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder dengan informan penelitian dan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian melalui tiga alur yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 05 Tahun 2016 tentang Kawasan Tanpa Rokok di STIA Amuntai belum optimal. Pada aspek sosialisasi, kebijakan KTR hanya disampaikan secara terbatas melalui PKKMB dan beberapa poster, pada aspek tim penegakan perda masih belum dibentuk sehingga belum sepenuhnya berjalan optimal dalam pelaksanaan. Pada aspek pembinaan dan pengawasan juga belum ada, kampus telah menyediakan ruang khusus merokok namun belum ada anggaran khusus, jumlah petugas terbatas, sarana informasi belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal, Pada aspek penegakan sanksi, civitas akademika sebenarnya mengetahui adanya perda dan larangan merokok, tetapi komitmen dan kepatuhan masih lemah, ditunjukkan dengan masih adanya mahasiswa yang merokok di area terlarang serta belum terdapat SOP, tim khusus, pembagian tugas yang jelas, maupun sanksi tertulis, sehingga penegakan kebijakan banyak bergantung pada teguran spontan dan menyebabkan pengawasan serta penindakan tidak konsisten.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate professional ethics compliance with working time limits in the context of global remote team collaboration and its implications for employee well-being. The shifting work paradigm due to digital transformation has given rise to the phenomenon of cross-time zone working, encouraging shifts in working hours beyond normal limits, potentially violating professional ethics principles such as autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice. Using a qualitative approach through case studies and document analysis, this study found systematic violations of working time limits, resulting in increased burnout, decreased well-being, and an inequitable distribution of the workload. Furthermore, weak implementation of organizational policies, a culture of overwork, and the absence of monitoring mechanisms exacerbate these ethical violations. The study's findings emphasize the need for strengthened regulations, the design of more specific remote work policies, and the implementation of the principle of time zone equity to protect employee well-being in a global collaborative environment.

Abstract

Xanthelasma palpebrarum is a benign skin lesion consisting of a yellowish periorbital plaque due to lipid accumulation, often associated with hyperlipidemia, although primarily an aesthetic complaint. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness, complications, and recurrence factors of three main modalities: surgical excision, CO2 laser, and LASIK.₂, and TCA. Using a qualitative systematic literature review approach based on PRISMA, the population included publications from 2021-2025 in Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. The purposive sample consisted of 16 articles (500+ patients) with inclusion criteria of interventional studies and lipid profiles. The PRISMA protocol instrument and thematic content analysis identified patterns of effectiveness through triangulation and MMAT quality appraisal. The results showed that CO laser₂most effective (100% resolution, 13-16% recurrence), followed by surgical excision (3-60%), and TCA 70% for small lesions (25-39% recurrence) with a 33% risk of pigmentation. Conclusions recommend individualization of therapy based on lesion size, skin type, and systemic lipid management to minimize recurrence.

Abstract

Perdagangan forex di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan pesat namun berisiko tinggi akibat volatilitas dipicu faktor fundamental dan kondisi psikologis trader yang rentan keputusan impulsif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran analisis fundamental terhadap kesiapan mental trader dalam pengambilan keputusan trading forex di PT Agrodana Futures Surabaya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, populasi terdiri dari 15 Account Executive dan 50-70 nasabah aktif, dengan sampel purposive 5 AE berpengalaman dan 8 nasabah (minimal 6 bulan trading). Instrumen utama peneliti partisipatif didukung observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, dianalisis melalui model Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman indikator fundamental membangun ekspektasi realistis, mengurangi kepanikan volatilitas, dan meningkatkan disiplin trading melalui pendampingan AE. Kesimpulan menyatakan analisis fundamental berfungsi ganda sebagai alat prediksi pasar dan penguatan mental trader.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Talking Stick learning model on the geography learning outcomes of class XII students of SMAN 2 Tembilahan. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach. The population of this study comprised all class XII students (N = 90), with the research sample consisting of class XII A (experimental; N = 30) and XII B (control; N = 30). The research instrument was a multiple-choice test. Before the test instrument was used in the research, a pretest was conducted to assess its quality and feasibility. The instrument test was conducted to determine the difficulty of the questions and the discriminative power. The data analysis techniques used in the study included the difference power test, difficulty level test, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and N-Gain test, using SPSS Version 20. From the results of data analysis on the effect of the application of the Talking Stick learning model on the Geography learning outcomes of class XII students of SMAN 2 Tembilahan, it can be concluded that the Geography learning outcomes of students in the Experimental class, which was taught using the Talking Stick learning model with a sample of 30 students had an average Posttest value of 80.22. With. The Geography learning outcomes of students in the control class, taught using the Conventional learning model with a sample of 30 students, had an average posttest score of 75.60. Based on the results of the t-test above, the results were obtained that t count> t Table, namely 4.697> 1.69 and a significance level <0.05, namely 0.000, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis H1 is accepted or H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the experimental class using the Talking Stick learning model and the control class without the Talking Stick learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and activeness in Integrated Social Sciences (IPS) learning through the implementation of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model in class VIII of SMP Negeri 57 Muaro Jambi. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were 25 class VIII students in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, interviews, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the STAD model significantly improved student learning outcomes, with the average post-test score increasing from 66.52 in cycle I to 90.00 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 43% to 91.3%, while the N-Gain score increased from 0.23 (low category) to 0.67 (medium-high category). In addition, student learning activity and motivation also experienced a significant increase. Students became more active in thinking, dared to express opinions, and showed better cooperation and responsibility in groups. Thus, the application of the STAD-type cooperative model has proven effective in improving students' learning outcomes and social interactions in Integrated Social Studies learning at SMP Negeri 57 Muaro Jambi
