Abstract

The role of zakat in optimizing zakat management and encouraging economic growth in the context of Islam is an important topic. Zakat is the main pillar of Islam, not only a religious obligation but also plays a role in realizing economic growth.  The purpose and method of this writing uses a literature study approach that relies on various literature, journal articles to obtain research data and uses a qualitative approach because the data produced is descriptive that describes or describes how zakat management efforts in Baznas Bangka Belitung Province are managed. The results of this writing illustrate that the collection of zakat experienced by Bangka Belitung Province experienced an up-and-down process that occurred from 2015 to 2019 and experienced a decline in 2021 to 2022. Efforts made by the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government include taking a bureaucratic approach to the provincial government through the Governor's policy to instruct zakat obligations to ASN, collaborating with companies and the private sector and maximizing cooperation between Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within Bangka Belitung Province. Baznas Bangka Belitung will also continue to carry out socialization in a structured, systematic and massive manner both through social media and mass media.

Abstract

Cholesterol is a fatty compound produced by various cells in the body. Increased levels of total cholesterol in the blood are the main cause of the burden of disease in developed and developing countries, namely as a risk factor for heart disease and stroke.  Cholesterol levels are influenced by many factors, one of which is the body mass index (BMI). A person with a large BMI, will experience an increase in fat levels which can cause an imbalance in fat metabolism so that it can ultimately affect a person's body cholesterol levels. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between BMI and total cholesterol levels in the elderly in Warisa Kamung Baru Village, Talawaan District, North Minahasa Regency. This type of research is descriptive analytical using a correlation research design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is total sampling. The sample in this study is 50 elderly people in Warisa Kampung Baru Village. The instruments used are scales, microtoise, autocheck GCU meters, pen lancet, cholesterol strips, cotton alcohol and sterile gloves. The data was analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with a significance value of p> 0.05, then H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. A total of 50 elderly people participated in this study with most having a normal BMI (44.0%), underweight (2.0%), overweight (18.0%), obese 1 (24.0%), obese 2 (12.0%). Most of the elderly who were respondents had good cholesterol (52%), high threshold cholesterol (30.0%) and high cholesterol (18.0%). Abstract

Aviation is a vital means of transportation that supports human mobility, where efficiency and punctuality (On Time Performance / OTP) are the main indicators of operational success. In this context, ramp handling operations, especially in handling emergency situations (crash handling), are a significant challenge that can interfere with the achievement of OTP. This study aims to analyze the operational effectiveness of ramp handling and identify obstacles related to crash handling at Kualanamu International Airport, in order to find strategic solutions to improve OTP. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through case studies, field observations, and in-depth interviews with operational officers of PT Gapura Angkasa, complemented by analysis of operational documents. The results of the study show that the limitations of equipment such as goods moving vehicles, fuel supply systems, and special baggage handling equipment, as well as the lack of trained manpower, especially in emergency situations, have a significant impact on the decrease in OTP. Suboptimal crash handling results in operational delays, thereby reducing flight efficiency and safety. The conclusion of this study states that improving resource management, both in terms of equipment and labor, as well as optimizing operational procedures is needed to overcome existing constraints. With these improvements, it is hoped that the achievement of OTP can increase significantly, support safety, efficiency, and quality of operational services at airports, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of the national aviation industry.

Abstract

International relations is a discipline that studies the interaction between countries from various perspectives, where political and economic dynamics are interrelated and influence global policy. In this context, the US-TIP Report emerged as a strategic instrument that the United States uses to implement soft-diplomacy through an assessment of countries' efforts to combat trafficking in persons. This study aims to analyze the interaction between economic and political factors in the preparation of the US-TIP Report and examine its implications for the foreign policy of the United States. The novelty of the research lies in the integration of interdisciplinary analysis that combines political economy and foreign policy perspectives in examining the use of this report as a political and economic tool. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with case study design, through the collection of primary data from in-depth interviews with experts and secondary data from official documents, annual reports, and related academic literature. The results of the study show that the preparation of the US-TIP Report is greatly influenced by political and economic interests, where this report plays a role in pressuring countries with low capabilities and supporting the United States' allies. In conclusion, the US-TIP Report not only reflects the real conditions in the fight against trafficking in persons, but also serves as a strategic political and economic tool that directs the dynamics of international relations through assessments that are political and economic.
