Abstract

Abstract

There are some various types of sand used for construction materials in Kendari City and its surroundings. Visually, the difference in the type of sand used can be seen from the color. This study aims to provide information to stakeholders: the community, government and the business, in considering the selection of technically feasible types of sand for concrete mixtures in Kendari City. The sand used in this study was mointain sand ex. Nambo: light brown sand, white sand and maroon sand, as well as river sand ex. Pohara. Physical characteristic testing carried out by the recommendation of SK SNI No. S-04-1989-F which includes sieving analysis, fineness modulus, aggregate material passing sieve No. 200, organic content, bulk density, specific gravity, and water absorption. This study shows that the physical characteristics of mointain sand ex. Nambo: white sand, light brown sand, and maroon sand do not meet the specifications in relation to the amount of sand passing sieve No. 200. Physical characteristics of river sand ex. Poharadoes not meet the specifications which relating to 2 (two) parameters: the amount of material that passes the sieve No. 200 and organic content. For the use of the sand as a normal concrete mixture, it is recommended that the sand be washed first.

Abstract

Community service activities by a team of teaching staff as one form of the tri dharma (Lecturers) of Halu Oleo University, namely carrying out community service, in carrying out community service to provide contributions in the form of knowledge about pontesi and infrastructure development to improve the welfare of the community in the sub-district Anduonohu Kendari City. Anduonohu Village is a potential area and has sufficient natural resources, in this case potential agricultural land (fertile land), but road access to the Village needs serious attention from all parties. Therefore, we, as a team of lecturers, provide service to contribute work/products and understanding to the community regarding infrastructure development, especially improving farm roads as access for community movement to support economic, social, educational and other activities. The implementation process in this service activity is an implementation technique according to the availability of resources from the service implementation team in the form of outreach to the community, farmers and local government by prioritizing science. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) is delivered in community service activities as an impact of increasing community knowledge, especially in developing infrastructure in Anduonohu Village, Kendari City. The methods used in this activity are example providing, direct or face to face discussions with the community, as well as field applications. in infrastructure development (repairing village roads). It is hoped that this service program activity can provide knowledge and understanding to the community regarding the application of science to benefit society.

Abstract

City which is located in the Andounohu area. Based on the spatial map of the CBD area of Kendari City where the dominant activity that occurs on the road is economic activities which are marked by rows of Shop Houses (Shophouses), Markets, Mosques, Banks, Restaurants and so on. One of the factors that causes changes and increases in the shape of the area on this road is the existence of Marina Mart shopping centers and Anduonohu Market. The research "Traffic Management Analysis on Jl.Bunggasi Section" is located along the Bunggasi road, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Point zero is in front of the "Ayam Geprek Bosqu" Restaurant to the front of the HBM Store which is approximately 1.09 Km away. The performance of the Bunggasi road section in 2024 has the highest saturation degree of DJ (Saturation degree) on busy days of 0.41 which is included in the service level B, and on holidays it is 0.48 which is included in the road service level with category C. Based on the results of field findings through observations and traffic surveys conducted in the study of traffic engineering management on the Bunggasi Road section is the high volume of traffic during peak hours of activity and The small capacity of the road section is due to the parking on street and also due to the U-turn which causes congestion on the Bunggasi road section.

Abstract

Improving accessibility to tourist areas is one of the key priorities in supporting the development of sustainable tourism. This study aims to evaluate the road performance leading to the Toronipa Beach tourist area in Kendari City and to assess user perceptions of its accessibility quality. The research employs a quantitative approach through technical analysis based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 and user perception analysis using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. Data were collected through traffic volume surveys and questionnaires distributed to 100 road users on weekdays and weekends. The analysis results indicate that the Level of Service (LOS) falls under category C on weekdays with a degree of saturation (DS) of 0.63, and category D on weekends with a DS of 0.81. The CSI analysis shows a satisfaction score of 74.2%, which is classified as “satisfied.” The dominant factors influencing user satisfaction include road physical condition, driving comfort, travel time, and the availability of supporting facilities. This study concludes that the improvement of road infrastructure between Kendari and Toronipa has significantly enhanced transportation performance and fostered positive user perceptions of accessibility to this coastal tourist destination
