Abstract

Globally ubiquitous, violence against women is a general threat that is often recognized by the victims' loved ones. Men in positions of authority, acquaintances, lovers, and other companions are all possible abusers. However, women are more susceptible to victimization at the hands of an intimate partner. Because of the topic's delicate nature, intimate partner violence is generally underreported; occurrences of such violence are typically not reported to the appropriate authorities. The study examined the prevalence of intimate partner violence in Ado-Ekiti and Ilogbo Ekiti which is a representation of a rural and urban area in the State. The study was carried out on 400 selected respondents in total, 200 respondents in each of the study areas. Data was collected through semi-structured questionnaires using the purposive sampling technique on 400 married respondents. The findings revealed that one out of every two (56%) respondents in the urban area had experienced intimate partner violence however the same could not be said about the rural area where (28%) had had the experience. The further revealed economic stress to be the most potent factor (70%) causing intimate partner violence in the urban area while patriarchy and rigid cultural practices are most cited (63%) in the rural area. In summary, the findings showed emotional pains as the highest consequence (62.5%) of intimate partner violence in the urban area and deteriorating physical health (68.5%) in the rural area   Consequently, the study recommends prompt speaking up by abused persons to relevant authorities; training and re-training of agencies who receive intimate partner violence complaints on globally acceptable gender-based response(s), especially in the rural areas.

Abstract

Businesses used to exist primarily for the goal of making profits. Corporations, however, are now realizing that they must adopt a socially responsible stance to promote community growth and remain profitable in a fast-changing environment. As a result, there is a growing expectation among stakeholders that businesses should act responsibly towards society in addition to being profit-driven. In this view, corporate citizenship, ethical business practices, and corporate social opportunity are all included in modern corporate social responsibility (CSR). According to the notion, businesses should take society's interests into account by being accountable for how their actions affect their suppliers, consumers, workers, shareholders, communities, and other stakeholders in addition to the environment. This duty demonstrates that companies must act to enhance the welfare of all stakeholders to guarantee the growth and development of communities. This analysis examines the several CSR programs that businesses can implement to support sustainability and community development. By so doing the review considers such possibilities and challenges in implementing CSR initiatives. Academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and the Directory of Open Access were employed by the researchers for document analysis. The research was hinged on Carrol's theory. The study found that corporates may need to undertake different forms of CSR that include environmental responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility, and economic responsibility. However, politics and lack of funding have been the major challenges in implementing such initiatives.

Abstract

Social inclusion has become a crucial issue to advocate for, especially in a diverse country like Indonesia, which frequently faces violence and exclusive treatment. Norms such as Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika serve as a glue for diversity, yet tensions among citizens still exist. Schools play a strategic role in disseminating inclusive values from an early age, but challenges such as bullying, violence, and harassment persist. Therefore, it is vital to make schools arenas for practicing social inclusion, which not only fosters acceptance of differences but also addresses issues of violence. The implementation of social inclusion in schools must go beyond mere actions; it is a commitment to creating an environment that welcomes all students, regardless of background. Inclusive education helps reduce stereotypes, enhances empathy, and strengthens social skills. Schools that adopt this principle open opportunities for meaningful learning, improve emotional well-being and help shape future leaders who are sensitive to diversity. This implementation requires collaboration among teachers, students, parents, and the community, as well as support from inclusive policies. With concrete steps, social inclusion can strengthen the foundation of a more just, diverse, and equitable society.

Abstract

Digital marketing training and the preparation of simple financial reports are important steps in increasing the capacity of MSMEs on the Indonesia-Malaysia border. The main objective of this activity is to help MSMEs understand and implement digital-based marketing strategies and simple financial management to strengthen business competitiveness. Before the implementation of the activity, the preparation process had been carried out for one month beforehand. This training was conducted using interactive lecture methods, live demos, and practical exercises with 20 MSME participants on Sebatik Island. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' understanding of digital platforms for marketing and the importance of attractive promotional content. Participants also showed enthusiasm in participating in the activities. In addition, simple financial training helped participants recognize the importance of routine financial records to monitor the financial condition of the business. The ability to prepare simple reports such as cash books and a basic understanding of digital financial applications began to be applied by participants. Based on these results, it is proposed that there be a sustainable mentoring program to support the implementation of consistent digital marketing strategies and financial management for MSMEs on the border. With the sustainability of mentoring, it is hoped that MSMEs can optimize their potential, increase market access, and strengthen local economic stability in border areas.

To increase the validity of the instrument measuring the level of academic stress, the Scale of Academic Stress was reviewed by several experts in educational psychology and counseling. Reliability was determined to have robust validity with a Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of 0.82, which is the result of the assessment of the stability and reliability of the measurement of the study’s constructs. Descriptive analysis was done in SPSS version 26. Mental health challenges that have been worsened by the pandemic are discussed and the ways that school counselors manage them as they support education that fosters responsible behavior are discussed in the study. Such strategies comprise psychological treatment, personal development education, and coordination with teachers and parents to design a supportive school environment. The research also reveals that due to counselor’s many roles, they can largely contribute to promoting student resilience and a sustainable culture to improve child foolishness and livelihoods.
