Abstract

Aging is always accompanied by changes in all systems in the human body, including a decrease in cognitive function. Brain gym is one of exercises that can improve cognitive function in the elderly. This study aims to determine the effect of brain gym exercise on cognitive function in the elderly. This study employs an experimental research design. The sample used was 20 elderly who visited Puskesmas Tamalanrea Jaya Makassar. The sample was then divided randomly into two groups (intervention group and control group). Cognitive function in the elderly was measured using MMSE. The results showed that there were significant changes in cognitive function after the administration of brain gym in the intervention group (p 0.05). Moreover, it was found that there were no significant differences in cognitive function score between the two groups (p> 0.05). However, the average score of cognitive function in the intervention group is greater than in the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of brain gym exercise on changes in cognitive function in the elderly.

Abstract

This study was done to look at the picture of pending claims that were returned by the BPJS Kesehatan and its causes at Hermina Ciputat Hospital, Tangerang Selatan Banten. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data used were the claim files from inpatient and outpatient treatment that was delayed or returned by BPJS Health in June-August 2018. The variables used in this study are the number of pending claim files, reasons for returning and the reasons for cause of the returning. The findings showed there are 142 file claims for inpatient and 82 outpatient files were returned. Reason for returning because it did not pass the administrative verification of service and verification of health service. The cause of not passing verification was mainly due to inaccuracy of the filing officer and the existence of different perceptions of the diagnosis code between Hermina Ciputat Hospital and BPJS Kesehatan. The results of this study can be an evaluation for Hermina Ciputat Hospital to improve the system of filing claims for BPJS Kesehatan patients in order to reduce the number of claim files returned by BPJS Kesehatan

Abstract

This study analyzes the structure and characteristics of the board of directors and audit committee against the policy of corporate dividend decisions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The method used in this study is LS regression modeling and logit regression. LS regression modeling is done to see the composition of the structure and characteristics of the board and audit committee against the dividend of the company's payment ratio and company’s dividend decision on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Logit regression modeling is performed to see the composition and characteristics of the board of commissioners and audit committee on decisions of company dividends on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The two regressions are expected to replace each other's regression results with each other. In this study it was found that the number of directors, the composition of female directors, and the number of independent directors had significant influence on companies to pay dividends and influence the rate of payment of dividend payment ratios.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the risk of musculoskeletal disorder associated with the work of nurses in the Emergency Department (ED). This research is classified as descriptive research through direct observation with the help of a recording device and stop watch to see the movement / posture of the risk of musculuscular disorders in nurses' activities that are done manually handling, then analyzed using WinOwas software. The results of this study indicate nurses have a risk of MSDs. The work done by nurses is dominated by odd postures with repetitive frequency and long duration of each shift is the activity of sewing the wound, dressing bandages, installing infusions, pushing the patient, ECG and giving a nebulizer. The lack of knowledge about ergonomics and the high workload of nurses in the emergency room are things that increase the risk of MSDs. Therefore, hospitals need to carry out education and training programs to improve their knowledge and skills regarding ergonomics for nurses. Ergonomic education and training needs to be done to increase nurses' knowledge about the right work attitude, proper stretching and strengthening exercises and implement a progressive aerobic program to improve overall body fitness.

Abstract

South Korea is one of the developed countries that have succeeded in developing popular culture to increase the potential for tourist visits to the country. This study aimed to investigate how Korean culture is represented in the characters displayed in the LINE application and in the visual presentation or decoration design in the LINE Friends Store so that it can be accepted globally and can attract tourists to visit the LINE Friends Store. The study was conducted with a qualitative interpretive method using the Charles Sanders Pierce’s semiotic approach. The focus of the study was to describe the representation of the signs displayed in the LINE application characters and in the decoration design or visual presentation in the LINE Friends Store using icons, indexes, and symbols. The result of the study showed that what is displayed in the LINE Friends Store can provoke consumers' interest to come and shop because the products offered there have a cultural closeness which has global characteristics and all of them are displayed in a form that emphasizes the popularity and success of modern development. The role of LINE application, whose products have been globalized, has become a very effective driving force to further popularize the LINE Friends Store tour.

Abstract

This research reviewed on the Regulation of the Director General of Tax No. PER-17/PJ/2015 on Norms of Net Income Calculation of several specific self-employment. The discussions in this research included discussion on the arrangement in the Regulation of the Director General of Tax No. PER-17/PJ/2015 towards Profession of Taxpayer like Writer, Notary, and Doctor and the implementation of the regulation based on the principle of legal certainty towards Taxpayer of Writer, Notary, and Doctor. The research method used in this research is in the form of normative-juridical research with descriptive-analytic research type. On the implementation of the Regulation of the Director General of Tax No. PER- 17/PJ/2015, there are two problems which are the differences of interpretation in the regulation between Directorate General of Taxes and the Primary Tax Office which resulted in issuing a press release and a circular relating to the problem. The second problem is the ignorance of the taxpayer regarding the regulation. The first problem on the implementation of the regulation will be reviewed by the principle of legal certainty in the tax law. The result in this thesis is that the arrangement on Norms of Net Income Calculation towards Taxpayer of Writer, Notary, and Doctor Profession has been regulated in the Regulation of the Director General of Tax No. PER-17/PJ/2015 based on their Business Field Classification. Moreover, there is a legal uncertainty in the Regulation of the Director General of Tax No. PER-17/PJ/2015 caused by a circular letter related to the regulation.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of Information System Kelola UI in the University of Indonesia, especially in the Unit of the Directorate of Education and Faculties related to the Directorate of Education through system information Kelola UI. The aim of this study is to explain how the implementation of Information System Kelola UI at the Directorate of Education, University Central Administration Universitas Indonesia (PAUI), related to the business process at Directorate of Education PAUI. This research uses quantitative approach method with explanative design. The data are collected through the questionnaires, in-depth interviews and literature studies. The analysis of this study is using best practice COBIT 4.1. This research focuses on 3 domains of COBIT 4.1: Plan & Organize (PO), Acquire & Implement (AI), and Deliver & Support (DS). The results showed that overall implementation of information systems Kelola UI has been running well and as expected at Directorate of Education PAUI. Common problems that still occurred was Human Resources, information update, and low concern in system evaluation.

Abstract

The aim of study was to examine the perceptions of higher vocational educators about the importance level of employability skills attributes that needed by higher vocational education graduates in entering the workforce in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. The study was conducted by survey method, using a questionnaire. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling from state and public polytechnic vocational accounting educators. The research instruments were arranged based on a hypothetical model of employability skills which included generic skills and personal attributes. The generic skills group consists of 45 items and personal attributes consists of 20 items. The research instrument was arranged in the form of closed questions using five point Likert scale, ranging from not important to very important. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, namely mean scores, standard deviations, and graphics. The average score is sorted from high to low, indicating the importance level of employability skills according to higher vocational educator perceptions. Communication skills, self-management skills, teamwork skills, and learning skills are generic skills groups with a high importance level perceived by higher vocational educators. Educators also place honesty, integrity, work ethics, accuracy, and have good personalities as personal attributes with a high importance level that must be possessed by higher vocational graduates. The implication of this finding is the need to revitalize higher vocational education curriculum, which are not solely focused on mastering the knowledge and technical skills in specific field, but also able to develop the attributes of employability skill students.

Abstract

Successful viral communication depends on the ability of the sender to turn the recipient into an active marketer of the message. Tto be viral, before creating and sending the messages, sender should be considering the receiver's perspective and the content of the message. This study aims to find out how strong the factors forming the viral message that affecting the attitude of the audience towards promotional messages from an indie musician/band (Mocca). The paradigm used in this research is positivist (classic), the methodology is quantitative and explanatory approach. The data collection method is survey with online questionnaire. The analysis model is the Hypothetical Path Diagram. This research find if we want to make our promotional message to be viral, we should pay attention to the elements of the message structure, the contents of the message, and how to deliver the message. In addition we should pay attention to the elements of credibility, attraction, and strength of the message. Specific finding in this study are regarding proximity (proximity) and the psychology of message recipients.

Abstract

Along with the development of understanding about the discourse of the relocation of Indonesia's capital city by existing studies, one of the various positive potentials to be obtained from this policy is the realization of the connectivity of economic equality. In addition to balancing regional development, the new location's connectivity should be as capable as possible in creating economic equality concerning its archipelagic concept of country. It is undeniable that Indonesia's economy is centered on Java island, especially around the Jakarta capital city, with a very high level of development as a center of national scale growth, far beyond the other large islands such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua. In creating a more equitable economic growth, the relocation of the capital city should as much as possible refer to economic connectivity as a trigger in improving the economy of the large islands in Indonesia. A question arises how the potential of connectivity of economic equality in the context of relocation of Indonesia's capital city. The article aims to present a literature study producing an understanding regarding this matter for the consideration of stakeholders in decision making. This study uses a descriptive and evaluative method with secondary data sources such as scientific journals, literature books, and internet news. Its result confirms the existence of an opportunity to create economic equality through the policy of the capital city relocation with the assumption that new growth centers of national scale will emerge outside Java. The flow of migration, investment, internal connectivity, and external connectivity are the elements making this happen.
