Abstract

This study examines the role of the Ministry of Law in harmonizing national legislation with international legal standards, focusing on the challenges and mechanisms involved in aligning domestic laws with global norms. With increasing globalization, countries are increasingly required to adjust their legal systems to comply with international treaties and agreements. This research aims to explore how the Ministry of Law facilitates this process, addressing the political, legal, and institutional challenges that arise in the harmonization process. A qualitative literature review was conducted, analyzing relevant academic sources, governmental reports, and case studies from various countries. The findings reveal that while the Ministry of Law plays a pivotal role in implementing international legal standards, its success is often contingent on institutional capacity, political will, and the ability to balance national interests with international obligations. The study concludes that a strategic, well-supported Ministry of Law is essential for effective legal harmonization. Strengthening the Ministry’s capacity and fostering intergovernmental cooperation are key to overcoming resistance and ensuring compliance with international legal standards, ultimately enhancing global legal cooperation and governance.

Abstract

With technological advancements, more schools are starting to use technology, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Teachers play an important role in utilizing technology, one of which is through game based learning methods (GBL). This method provides an enjoyable and varied learning experience with game elements such as scores, challenges, and rewards. This study explores the use of GBL in PAI at SMA Negeri 1 Imogiri using the Zep Quiz online platform. The study employs a qualitative approach with direct observation at the school as well as classroom learning practice with students. In addition, this research also uses a literature review from various relevant journals as a theoretical basis. The results of the study indicate that the use of the Zep Quiz web, which allows students to access materials and quizzes interactively, is effective in increasing learning motivation and student achievement. Through observation and classroom practice at SMA Negeri 1 Imogiri, it was found that this website also provides an evaluation feature at the end of learning that helps students understand their level of mastery of the material. Thus, the implementation of Game Based Learning (GBL) through Zep Quiz has been proven capable of creating a learning atmosphere that is more effective, engaging, and relevant to the needs of PAI learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Occupational health service contractors play a key role in ensuring occupational safety and health (OSH) in high-risk industries, especially in remote operational areas. However, the selection process for contractors at PT. ABC Indonesia relies heavily on an administrative approach and lacks a comprehensive, structured, and risk-based evaluative instrument. This can affect the quality of occupational health services and contractor independence in supporting company operations. This study aims to develop a valid, objective, and applicable evaluative instrument for assessing the feasibility of occupational health service contractors based on the Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS). The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach in two stages: content validation using the Content Validity Index (CVI) method, with input from six experts in OSH, contractor management, and occupational health services, and the determination of priority weights using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The instrument was based on eight CSMS domains, operationalized into 24 indicators. The results show that all indicators had high content validity with i-CVI and S-CVI/Ave values of 1.00. AHP results indicated that the most dominant criterion in determining contractor feasibility was Leadership and Top Management Commitment, followed by planning, risk control, and emergency preparedness. The final instrument is valid, consistent, and suitable for use in contractor selection at PT. ABC Indonesia. This study aims to improve the objectivity of the contractor selection process and enhance OSH service quality and operational safety in the mining industry.

Abstract

This research investigates the structural design of Betang houses in Central Kalimantan and their potential for cultural heritage preservation and local tourism development. Betang houses, traditional dwellings of the Dayak Ngaju people, have become significant cultural landmarks with both historical and architectural value. This study applies qualitative research through field observations, interviews, and literature review to analyze the architectural elements and preservation strategies of Betang Toyoi in Tumbang Malahoi Village, Gunung Mas Regency. The results highlight the unique architectural features of the Betang, including its robust wooden pillars, intricate roof structure, and symbolic elements. Additionally, the study explores the potential of Betang houses to attract tourists, offering insights into the economic opportunities related to cultural heritage tourism. Despite the potential, the research indicates that suboptimal management and maintenance have hindered the full realization of Betang Toyoi’s tourism potential. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for improved infrastructure, support from local government, and enhanced management strategies to optimize the economic and cultural contributions of the Betang houses. These findings underscore the importance of preserving traditional architecture as part of the region’s cultural heritage and sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

This study examines environmental risk prevention at the micro-scale in densely populated residential areas, specifically focusing on RT8 RW4 Malaka Jaya in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. Rapid urbanization, limited space, and the dominance of concrete structures in the area have led to several environmental risks, including poor drainage systems, waste mismanagement, and reduced green spaces. This research employs a qualitative methodology, including field observation, interviews with local leaders, and literature review, to understand the environmental risks faced by the community. The study highlights the role of community-based innovations in managing these risks, such as the transformation of drainage channels into fish farming ponds, waste management through communal composting, and the use of solar energy. The findings suggest that these initiatives, driven by local leadership and active community participation, have proven effective in mitigating environmental risks and improving the living conditions of residents. The research also discusses the importance of involving local governance units like RT in environmental management, particularly in urban areas facing limited resources. These findings contribute to the understanding of how community-based environmental management approaches can address urban environmental challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the psychological values found in the novel Our Home by Valentina Madihanto (2024). The study applies a literary psychology approach using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which includes the Id, Ego, and Superego, to analyze the inner conflicts of the characters. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The data consist of quotations from the novel that reflect psychological values. The data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, while the analysis was conducted by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the data based on Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. The results show that the dominant psychological values in the novel include fear, anxiety, trauma, anger, emotional pressure, feelings of worthlessness, and lack of affection within the family. The absence of parental attention and warmth becomes the main factor causing the characters’ inner conflicts. These conflicts arise from the tension between the Id as instinctual drives, the Ego as a mediator of reality, and the Superego as moral control, which results in emotional distress affecting the characters’ personality development. Thus, the novel Our Home not only portrays family conflicts but also highlights the impact of lack of affection on children’s psychological condition and personality formation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the shift towards student-centered learning in response to the challenges of digital transformation and learning equity in education. It aims to explore how this paradigm shift can be effectively implemented across educational institutions, considering the barriers such as digital divides and access to technology. Using a library research methodology, secondary data from relevant literature, policy documents, and previous studies are analyzed to understand the current state of digital integration in education. The findings reveal that while student-centered learning offers significant benefits, its success is limited by unequal access to resources and digital tools, especially in rural and underserved areas. The study concludes that overcoming these barriers requires a coordinated effort from policymakers, educational institutions, and communities to ensure equitable access to technology and professional development for teachers, thus enabling an inclusive educational environment for all students.

Abstract

Medical disputes between dentists and patients often arise due to negligence in medical treatment. This study aims to conduct a further analysis of the resolution of medical disputes between dentists and patients. This research is classified as normative juridical research using a statutory approach and legal concept analysis. The data collection technique was carried out through a literature review. The results of the study indicate that medical dispute resolution can be conducted through mediation, either through arbitration bodies, the Indonesian Medical Discipline Honorary Council (MKDKI), or the Indonesian Dental Association (IDI) as a professional organization of dentists that has the authority to act as a mediator. Through mediation, disputes are expected to be resolved fairly and efficiently without going through lengthy legal proceedings that may potentially disadvantage one of the parties. In conclusion, the resolution of medical disputes between dentists and patients should prioritize mediation efforts in order to achieve a satisfactory settlement for both parties.
