Abstract

One approach used to describe language is discourse analysis. This term was first used by Zellig Harris in 1952 as the name for a method of analyzing speech (or writing) that has relationships. This method was originally intended to look for correlations between language and culture (Malmkkjaer, 1995: 100). This pragmatic discourse analysis examines a continuous series of theoretical concepts and practices in both spoken and written discourse which is broader than sentences in various contexts. This study is very interesting in interdisciplinary linguistics, this study can be applied differently according to the point of view and discourse context. including textual and contextual discourse analysis in pragmatic discourse. This discourse can take the form of utterances which are speech events that can be recognized (without reference to the linguistic structure), such as conversations, jokes, sermons, interviews, both in print and electronic media that are close to everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the formation of ethical communication culture through a pragmatic approach. Ethical communication culture is very important in social interaction because it plays a role in building harmonious relationships and mutual respect. Using a qualitative method, this study examines the various forms and principles of ethical communication applied in society as well as how pragmatic norms and values influence communication behavior. The results show that ethical communication is formed through pragmatic awareness, namely understanding of context, language adjustment, and politeness in speaking. In addition, social and cultural factors also play a role in shaping ethical communication patterns. This study contributes to the understanding of the importance of pragmatics in creating an ethical communication culture and can be applied in various contexts of social interaction.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of deixis in dialogue between characters in the short story Filosifi Kopi by Dee Lestari. Meanwhile, the object is the use of deixis in dialogue between characters in the short story Filosofi Kopi by Dee Lestari. Research data was collected using document study techniques. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive-qualitative techniques. The results of the research show that there are 3 existing deixis, namely person deixis, place deixis, time deixis, and no discourse deixis was found in the dialogue. In place deixis it is possible that the pragmatic basis of place deixis is psychological distance. On the other hand, time deixis that is not included is calendar time and clock time. From the results that have been analyzed, persona deixis, place deixis, time deixis, in the dialogue between characters in the short story Filosofi Kopi by Dee Lestari, there are several words that are the same but have different purposes. Not all the same words have the same purpose, but there are some that have different purposes. The conclusions in this research are the results of the analysis of the dialogue in the short story Filosofi Kopi by Dee Lestari which has been described, found 8 persona deixis, 5 place deixis, 7 time deixis, and no discourse deixis found in the dialogue.

Abstract

In the current era, the use of YouTube media has increased very rapidly, this is because access is very easy. One of the YouTube content that is currently popular among the Muslim community is Ustad Hannan Attaki's sharing time content uploaded by the First Shof Media Indonesia Youtube Channel. This speech act also occurs in sharing time events, which can cover several topics ranging from questions about religious issues, mental health, to in-depth conversations with famous religious figures. In this study, researchers studied one of the sharing times with the sub-theme "Ever Tried Suicide But..." in terms of locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary speech. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method by describing the dialogue conveyed by speakers and interlocutors. The Sharing Time event describes how events and speech acts are conveyed. Locutionary speech acts are in the form of statements and providing information. Iocution in the form of orders, confessions, etc. And perlocution has an impact on the behavior of the speaker and his interlocutor. All data produced is in the form of dialogue that corresponds to the three spoken words.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengangkat persoalan film Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus di Bayar Tuntas. Yang bertujuan untuk menerapkan teori kesantunan oleh Brown dan Leevinson dengan fokus Maksim Kebijaksanaan di film tersebut dalam kajian pragmatik yang tentunya mengundang rasa ingin tau penonton dan mendapatkan jawabannya. Sebagai penutur interaksi antar karakter tentang kesantunan Bahasa dalam film tersebut merupakan aturan perilaku yang ditetapkan dan disepakati bersama oleh suatu masyarakat tertentu sehingga kesantunan sekaligus menjadi prasyarat yang disepakati oleh perilaku sosial. Dimana film tersebut harus memperhatikan konteks yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implikasi bentuk prinsip kesantunan dalam film Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas karya Eka Kurniawan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam film tersebut tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan tehnik simak bebas lihat cakap dan tehnik catat sebagai lanjutan. Penelitian ini menemukan enam maksim anatar lain: (1) Maksim Kebijaksanaan, (2) maksim penerimaan, (3) maksim kemurahan, (4) maksim kecocokan, dan (5) maksim kesimpatian. Dari ke lima maksim tersebut menjadi hasil analisis fungsi maksim yang akan disimpulkan dari setiap maksim yang terdapat pada film Seperti Dendan, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas karya Eka Kurniawan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of attitude, trust, subjective norms, personal innovativeness, and perceived behavior control on purchase intention at Sambal Bakar, a restaurant. The study will employ the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to understand the relationships between these variables and their impact on customers' intentions to purchase food from the restaurant. The research will be conducted on a sample of customers who have previously visited Sambal Bakar, and data will be collected using a self-administered questionnaire. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the factors that influence purchase intention at Sambal Bakar and help restaurant managers develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain the important role of population and sample in educational research. This research uses conceptual methods with descriptive analysis to examine the important role of population and samples in educational research. The correct selection of population and samples greatly influences the quality and validity of research results. This research identifies common phenomena, such as errors in selecting unrepresentative samples, which result in research results that are inaccurate and difficult to generalize. In addition, limited resources and knowledge of modern sampling methods are challenges for researchers. Through a descriptive approach, this research discusses various types of populations and samples, as well as sampling techniques that can be applied in educational contexts. It is hoped that a deeper understanding of these aspects will make a significant contribution to the validity and accuracy of the research results.

Abstract

Arrangement and Development of salak processing factories in Kramat Village, Bangkalan in fostering industrial development and management of salak fruit as well as the smooth development of a community agricultural product. And the growth of the number of companies engaged in trade in Kramat Village is always increasing, especially those on a large and micro scale. The purpose of this study is to assess from the socio-economic aspects of the community the existence of salak processing factories in order to provide identification of various alternatively, there are positive values and negative impacts internally and externally, related to the traditional market and the socio-economic life of the community. The type in this study also uses qualitative descriptive where a research intends to understand the phenomena experienced by the research subject, such as behavior, perception, motivation, action, and other things holistically and by describing in the form of words and language in a special context that and by utilizing various natural methods by using respondent data sources as sampling, in this case with the survey method. From the results and discussion by considering the socio-economic aspects and conditions in Kramat Village, Bangkalan, namely comparing positive and negative impacts on the construction of salak processing factories, it can be concluded that the construction project of salak processing factories in Bangkalan Kramat Village is feasible. The suggestion proposed is that the management must be must be professional and there is healthy competition.

Abstract

Promoting sustainable development and controlling the use of natural resources is the goal of environmental management. To achieve this goal, from the beginning of planning activities, changes in environmental conditions due to development activities must be estimated, both beneficial (positive) and detrimental (negative) consequences. Thus, from an early age, management steps must be prepared. One way to assess the likelihood of environmental changes is to conduct an EIA study. The research method used in this study is qualitative through document research, especially legal research that considers law as a constructive norm system. The results of this study show that PT Sekar Laut carries out its manufacturing activities according to the EIA aspect.

Abstract

The moral crisis plaguing the Millennial and Gen Z generations in Surakarta City shows complexity and escalation that requires serious attention. This article identifies and analyzes the main moral challenges faced by the younger generation, including the increase in bullying cases, the negative impact of social media, and the shift in social values in contemporary society. Through qualitative and quantitative approaches, this study explores the importance of character education as a strategic solution in responding to this crisis. Case studies from several schools in Surakarta show that the implementation of a holistic and integrated character education program can have a significant positive impact. The use of technology in character learning, the implementation of a value-based curriculum, and teacher training and development are the main pillars in this strategy. In addition, active involvement of parents and support from the local community also play an important role in shaping strong character and morals in the younger generation. This article contributes to the theory and practice of character education by highlighting the best practices that can be applied in addressing the moral crisis in Surakarta City. The practical implication is that a joint effort from all education and community stakeholders is needed to maintain the moral integrity of future generations. With the implementation of the right strategy and strong commitment, it is expected to build a solid moral foundation for the Millennial and Gen Z generations, creating a more just, harmonious and ethical society in Surakarta City.
