Abstract

This article discusses the changes and developments in the political system in Indonesia after the reformation. The reformation brought significant changes in the distribution of power and the repositioning of a more democratic political system, including direct elections for regional heads and members of the DPR/DPRD and DPD. However, the implementation of a better system faces challenges, especially in understanding and utilizing the distribution of power at the local level, which is often accompanied by a culture of corruption. This article also highlights the role of society in promoting political stability through intergenerational mobility and how the Indonesian political system adapts to external and internal influences.

Abstract

Inclusive education in elementary schools aims to provide equal opportunities for ABK to develop their potential. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of inclusive education at SDN Cinunuk 02 using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. This research methodology involves observation, interviews, and documentation of school principals, class teachers, special support teachers, and ABK. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively using the CIPP approach to identify challenges and recommendations in increasing the effectiveness of inclusive education. It is hoped that the research results will provide an overview of the implementation and improvement of inclusive education programs in elementary schools. Evaluation of the inclusive education program at SDN Cinunuk 02 using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model shows significant results but also faces several challenges. In the context aspect, although the facilities and infrastructure are supportive, the lack of special training for teachers is the main obstacle. In terms of input, the acceptance of students with special needs with certain requirements and a curriculum that is not yet fully inclusive shows the need for improvement. The learning process using interactive lecture methods and individual guidance for students with special needs is effective, but needs to be improved in monitoring and adjusting the material. Evaluation results show positive developments in students with special needs, although there are variations in their achievements. The implication of these findings is the need for regular training for teachers, curriculum adjustments, and increased interaction between normal students and special needs students to improve the effectiveness of inclusive education at SDN Cinunuk 02.

In this research, secondary data is used which includes the democracy index, political dynamics indicators, and Indonesian economic data for the 2014-2024 period. The results of the analysis show that although Indonesia has experienced an increase in the democracy index, political dynamic factors, such as political stability and public policy, have a significant role in influencing economic growth. Reducing levels of political polarization and progress in the quality of democracy contribute positively to economic stability. However, challenges in political policy and structural changes are factors that influence economic outcomes in a more complex way. This research concludes that the combination of democratic quality and stable political dynamics is the main key in creating sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a dispute resolution approach that prioritizes solutions outside of litigation, with the aim of creating a faster, cheaper, and more efficient process. One of the main methods in ADR is mediation, which offers a participatory and collaborative approach between the disputing parties. This article examines the role of mediation in ADR as an effective solution for non-litigation dispute resolution, focusing on the working mechanism, advantages, and challenges faced. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review and case analysis methods to describe the effectiveness of mediation in various types of disputes, including business, family, and environmental disputes. The results of the study indicate that mediation has great potential in creating win-win solutions without the need for a complicated court process. The success of mediation is greatly influenced by the neutrality of the mediator, openness of communication, and the commitment of the parties to resolve the dispute peacefully. This article also highlights the challenges in implementing mediation, such as the lack of public understanding of ADR and the limited number of professional mediators. Recommendations are given to enhance the role of mediation through strengthening regulations, mediator training, and public awareness campaigns. Thus, mediation can be an effective and sustainable alternative in resolving disputes in the modern era.

Abstract

This study examines the seasonal preference for winter weddings, analyzing cultural, economic, and environmental factors that influence this trend globally. Focusing on regions such as Bangladesh and India, where winter weddings are predominant, the research highlights how favorable climatic conditions, alignment with cultural and religious traditions, and economic advantages drive this preference. Winter offers mild weather, suitable for outdoor events, and coincides with holidays and post-harvest periods, facilitating extended celebrations and family gatherings. Additionally, reduced costs for venues and the availability of seasonal produce contribute to the practicality and appeal of winter weddings. Conversely, in regions with harsh winters, such as Northern Europe and North America, summer and autumn are preferred due to more accommodating weather for outdoor ceremonies and reduced logistical challenges. The study acknowledges the obstacles of winter weddings, including adverse weather, limited daylight, and holiday scheduling conflicts, which can complicate planning. Despite these challenges, winter weddings remain a favored choice in many regions, reflecting a confluence of cultural practices, environmental factors, and economic considerations. This research underscores the intricate relationship between seasonal preferences, local traditions, and practical constraints in shaping global marriage patterns.

Abstract

Within the context of Bangladesh's minority populations, this study investigates the interconnections of religious persecution, awareness of human rights, and cultural resilience. The findings, which are based on survey data collected from a wide pool of respondents, indicate that 36.6% of the participants reported having experienced religious persecution, with verbal threats being the most common form of such persecution. On the other hand, only 18.9% of respondents had ever reported events of this nature, and even fewer obtained answers that were effective. The percentage of people who were aware of their legal rights was low (48%) and the level of trust in authorities and access to legal help remained poor. In spite of these obstacles, cultural practices including as music, needlework, and bamboo crafts were retained to a large extent, with 65.7% of the population actively participating in traditional art forms. Despite the fact that 70.7% of respondents agreed that cultural preservation helps establish identity, youth engagement was low (35.4%), and public recognition and institutional support were modest. A significant contribution that traditional culture makes to the development of resilience in the face of systematic marginalization is highlighted in this study. For the purpose of empowering communities, preserving cultural legacy, and protecting minority rights in the face of political and societal impediments, it advocates for more legal support, public forums, and focused training.
