Abstract

This study aims to determine the status of palm sugar supply chain in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province through an approach Food Supply Chain Network. The focus of the study was palm sugar production in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province. The research method is carried out in a purposive sampling,The data types used are primary data and secondary data. The study phase analyzed the palm sugar supply chain in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province through an approach Food Supply Chain Network starting from looking at supply chain objectives, existing supply chain structure, business processes down to resources in the brown sugar supply chain. The results show that the distribution model of the supply chain starts from farmers, collectors, retailers, stores and end consumers. Institutional strengthening among farmers is needed by forming groups of asphalt farmers to produce jaggery that can satisfy consumer demand. Production capacity is very limited and the use of technology is simple.

Abstract

Sertifikasi ISPO merupakan standar berkeberlanjutan produksi minyak sawit di Indonesia. ISPO mulai menjadi regulasi di Indonesia sejak dikeluarkannya Permentan No.19/2011 yang direvisi dengan Permentan No.11/2015, dan direvisi lagi menjadi Permentan No.38/2020 di bawah naungan Perpres No.44/2020. Penerapan ISPO dianggap sangat lambat meskipun telah berjalan lebih 10 tahun. Tulisan ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat penerapan ISPO di Indonesia, terutama pada perkebunan kelapa sawit rakyat. Penelitian survei dilakukan pada di Kabupaten Siak, Provinsi Riau pada empat kelompok pekebun, yaitu pekebun swadaya bersertifikasi ISPO, pekebun swadaya bersertifikasi RSPO, pekebun swadaya yang tidak bersertifikasi, dan pekebun plasma yang tidak bersertifikasi. Sampel pekebun dipilih menggunakan metoda snowball sampling dengan jumlah sampel 120 pekebun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada pekebun dan lembaga yang terkait dengan ISPO. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan prinsip yang berkaitan dengan legalitas kebun dan organisasi pekebun menjadi standar yang paling sulit dipenuhi oleh para pekebun

Abstract

Food security is one of the determining factors in the country's stability in the economic, security, political and social fields. The concept of food security is not only seen through the availability of sufficient amounts of food, but also seen based on quality and balanced nutrition, food accessibility as well as food quality and safety. This study aims to determine: (1) The income and expenditure structure of rice farming households in Kuantan Singingi Regency. (2) The level of household food security of rice farmers in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The method used in this study is a survey method. Sampling used for sampling farmers is Purposive Sampling. The results of the study explain that the average total income of farming households in Singingi Regency is IDR 4,892,000/month, the average total expenditure of farming households in Singingi Regency is IDR 3,384,996/month and the food security level of rice farmers in Kuantan Regency Singingi trained based on aspects of food availability, access to food, and quality of food safety are categorized as high in increasing food security. The conclusion of this study is that the largest source of income for farming households comes from income from rice farming, and the largest source of expenditure for farming households comes from expenses for rice farming, and the level of food security for farming households in Kuantan Singingi Regency is categorized as high and households are classified as well off. to maintain and increase household food security.

Abstract

Increasing national rice production continues to be carried out in the context of meeting the people's food needs and as an effort to strengthen national food security. This was done considering that Indonesia's population reached 258.7 million people in 2016, with a growth rate of 1.36% year. In addition, the level of rice consumption is still quite high, reaching 114.6 kg/capita/year, so it requires a large enough food supply by increasing the production of food commodities, especially rice. Rice is still the main staple food source for the people.Sampling in the Production Analysis of Lowland Rice Farming in Penyesawan Village, Kampar District was carried out using the Taro Yamane formula where if the population exceeds 100, the precision used is 15% - 20%. The sample used was 38 respondents.Data analysis was carried out using appropriate formulas to answer the stated research objectives. The results of data analysis of lowland rice production in Penyesawan Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency is an average of 607 kg with an income of 6,071,316/MT. While the net income of paddy farmers in one planting season is IDR 3,888,942. With an average value of R/C Ratio obtained for rice farming in Penyesawan Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency of 2.9, thus the profit eligibility system applied is feasible to be developed in Penyesawan Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency, because every Rp. 100, - issued in at the beginning of lowland rice farming activities, revenue of IDR 290 was obtained

Abstract

White sugar is one of Indonesia's most essential food commodities. The government conducts import activities in an effort to stabilize the price of domestic sugar because national sugar production does not meet the demand. Domestic sugar prices reached the highest point in history in 2020, with prices ranging from Rp. 16.000 per kilogram to Rp. 21.000 per kilogram. The government has also imported 5.5 million tons of white sugar in 2020. The goals of this research are to (1) determine the conditions of white sugar imports in Indonesia from 2000 to 2020, (2) project the volume of white sugar imports and domestic white sugar prices in Indonesia for 2021-2025, and (3) analyze the impact of imported white sugar on domestic white sugar prices in Indonesia. The data used in this study is secondary data and processed using descriptive statistical analysis, simple exponential smoothing trend analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research are: (1) the volume of white sugar imports in Indonesia fluctuated and tended to increase from 2000 to 2020, (2) the projected volume of white sugar imports in 2021-2025 will increase by 0.26 percent per year, while domestic white sugar prices will increase by 3.3 percent per year, (3), the volume of white sugar imports, world sugar prices, sugar import duty rates, and white sugar consumption have a large partial effect on domestic white sugar prices with a confidence level of 97.68 percent. Otherwise, the domestic white sugar production has no effect on domestic white sugar prices

Abstract

AbstractTom Batik is one of “Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM)” in Kulon Progo Region which is running on batik cloth priduction. These UKM always want to develop by providing the best quality of batik. This study uses SWOT analyze which aims to determine the various factors systematically to formulate a strategy. This analysis is based on the logic that can maximize the strenght and opportunities, but at the same time can minimize the weaknesses and threat. Moreover, the author also uses the BCG Matrix which aims to develop a balance between the various product portfolios and determine the position of the UKM’s market. In this study, distributed the questionnaire which contains 5 attributes of consumer needs. The results of the questionnaire showed that the expected level of consumer satisfaction is different with the state of UKM still today. SWOT analyze and BCG matrix which function is to provide strategies to UKM are used to overcome these problems. Based on the calculation, the calculation of Internal matrix and Eksternal matrix showed that Tom Batik was on the first quadrant ( aggressive ) with a 0.03 towards to the strenght and 2.00 towards the the opportunities , which means that Tom Batik has a very favorable situation . While the market position of Tom Batik which is obtained from BCG Matrix is located on the Question Mark position of market growth in 2011-2012 as many as 20 % and Relative Market Share as many as 0.4 . Business strategies which are suggested to companies for promotion optimizing among others in the community , give a view to the public that batik  is a traditional Indonesian clothing , further enhance product innovation , always maintaining the environment preservation so that the raw material of natural dyes will not extinct . It aims to increase the sales volume and revenues of UKM, so that UKM can get out of the competition .Keywords: SWOT, BCG, Tom Batik, Strategy

Abstract

Research Objectives : 1. Knowing the internal factors faced by the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) business owned by Setia Jaya Madu in Tualang District, Siak Regency. 2. Knowing the external factors faced by the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) business owned by Setia Jaya Madu in Tualang District, Siak Regency. 3. Knowing the right strategy in developing the potential of Setia Jaya Madu's Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) business in Tualang District, Siak Regency. The method used in this study is a purposive sampling method (intentional sampling), namely 1 business owner Setia Jaya Madu, 10 workers (specifically for the production department), and 9 consumers. The results showed that the internal factors were in the form of strengths and weaknesses. Its strengths are strategic business locations that are easily accessible via google maps and located on the side of the road, have labels on the packaging, the product has been listed in BPOM, honey has passed the purity test, the workforce has attended training, the availability of nectar from the base of the acacia tree leaves as raw material in production, and have regular customers. Meanwhile, the weaknesses are that it does not have a branch of business, the technology is still simple, the product packaging in large quantities does not include a business label so that it looks less attractive, and the lack of human resources in the field of marketing. External factors are in the form of opportunities and threats. The opportunity is that it can be used as a gift, the market share is still wide, there is support and guidance from the government, and a relationship with PT Arara Abadi as a company that provides raw material for nectar from the base of the acacia tree leaves. Meanwhile, the threat is that there are competitors who also have a honey bee business in the vicinity of the respondent's business location, pests (bears) attack, and production is very dependent on the weather regarding the water content in honey. The right strategy in developing the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) business owned by Setia Jaya Madu in Tualang District, Siak Regency is the SO (Strength-Opportunities) strategy, which is to retain regular customers to increase the market and take advantage of the availability of nectar from the base of the acacia tree leaves as raw material in production obtained in collaboration with PT Arara Abadi

Abstract

People commonly consume many types of sugar. However, the type of sugar most commonly consumed by the people of Pekanbaru City is white crystal sugar or granulated sugar. This study aims to determine the characteristics of consumers of white crystal sugar and consumer habits in shopping for white crystal sugar. The method used is descriptive analysis. The number of respondents who consumed white crystal sugar was 100 people. The results showed that the characteristics of white crystal sugar consumers in Pekanbaru City could be seen in age, gender, and occupation. White crystal sugar consumers are more dominant in shopping at traditional retail than modern retail. The brand of packaged white crystal sugar consumers are most interested in is Gulaku. Consumers of white crystal sugar make a purchase of 1 kg for each purchase. The frequency of consumers purchasing white crystal sugar is once per month. Consumers mostly use branded white crystal sugar for personal consumption. For business raw materials, they mostly use bulk white crystal sugar, and for personal consumption and business raw materials in Pekanbaru City mostly use bulk white crystal sugar

Abstract

Meningkatnya permintaan konsumen terhadap makanan yang sehat dan bergizi tinggi, serta kebutuhan akan variasi dalam menu makanan yang berbasis bahan-bahan lokal membuat para pelaku usaha makanan harus jeli melakukan inovasi. Nuget talas merupakan salah satu jenis makanan yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, karena terbuat dari bahan-bahan alami seperti talas yang kaya akan serat dan nutrisi, serta dapat diolah dengan berbagai cara untuk menciptakan variasi rasa. Namun, meskipun nugget talas memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai makanan yang sehat dan lezat, pengusaha masih kurang akan pengetahuan mengenai preferensi konsumen terhadap produk tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk nuget talas melalui inovasi dan penelitian pasar dengan pendekatan pengembangan bisnis menggunakan VPC (Value Proposition Canvas) dan BMC (Business Model Canvas). Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa pengetahuan yang mendalam mengenai preferensi konsumen terhadap produk tersebut dan model pengembangan bisnis yang sesuai. Diharapkan dengan artikel ini, dapat memberikan wawasan dan ide-ide baru bagi para pengusaha kuliner maupun peneliti yang ingin mengembangkan produk nuget talas yang memenuhi kebutuhan pasar yang ada.

Abstract

The role agricultural sector as a contributor Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), absorbs labor, and embody community welfare. Covid-19 pandemic impact on various economic sectors, including agricultural sector in Riau Province. This study aims to analyze: (1) contribution agricultural sector to GRDP before dan during pandemic; (2) labor productivity in agricultural sector before and during pandemic; (3) level of community welfare before and during pandemic. Research method used literature study, secondary data time series in 2016-2021. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed; (1) contribution of agricultural sector to GRDP before pandemic was 22.89%, during pandemic increased to 25.53%. (2) average labor productivity agricultural sector before pandemic was Rp.143,110,568 per year, increased during pandemic to Rp.168,293,208 per year. (3) community welfare before pandemic of 920.26 kilo equivalent to rice per year with sufficient criteria, meanwhile during pandemic increased to 1,062.06 kilo equivalent to rice per year with decent living criteria.
