Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic law of worship in the implementation of Ramadan fasting in the modern era, by highlighting the challenges and adaptations of Muslims in carrying out fasting according to the guidance of sharia amidst the development of the times. The method used is qualitative descriptive with limited field observation. The results of the study indicate that although the basic principles of Islamic law of fasting remain relevant, there are various dynamics in its practice, such as the use of technology in determining the beginning of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, fasting time management amidst modern busyness, and attitudes towards health conditions and heavy work. In the digital era, the role of social media and online preaching platforms also have a major influence on the understanding and practice of fasting worship. This study concludes that the fiqh of worship has high flexibility in responding to changes in the times, as long as it adheres to established sharia principles. Thus, a contextual understanding of fiqh is very important to maintain the essence and solemnity of fasting worship amidst the challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of university students in using the TikTok Shop e-commerce platform and to identify the factors that influence their satisfaction. The research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach, using data collection techniques such as participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that student satisfaction is influenced by the ease of app access, engaging interactive features such as live shopping, service speed, and the level of trust in the platform. The study also found that some students experienced dissatisfaction due to delivery delays and products not matching expectations. Based on these results, it can be concluded that although the majority of students are satisfied with using TikTok Shop, there are still several service aspects that require improvement. This research provides valuable insights into digital consumer behavior and serves as a foundation for developing more responsive e-commerce service strategies that align with the needs of young users.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the understanding of fiqh of worship influences the attitudes and behaviors of Muslims in their daily lives. Fiqh of worship not only discusses the formal procedures of religious rituals but also contains values that are reflected in daily habits, social interactions, and individual mindsets. Using a qualitative approach and data collection techniques through literature review and interviews with several informants, this research reveals that values such as discipline, cleanliness, social concern, and inner peace can grow through the deep understanding and practice of worship. The findings indicate that fiqh of worship is not merely a set of ritual procedures but also contributes significantly to shaping the character and quality of a Muslim’s life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of deferred tax assets and earning power on earnings management practices in state-owned banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2022. Earnings management refers to actions taken by company management to influence financial statements for specific purposes. Deferred tax assets and earning power are suspected to be two factors that may influence a company's tendency to engage in such practices. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative type of study. The population consists of all state-owned banking companies listed on the IDX, with a census method applied to four companies: PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BBNI), PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BBRI), PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk. (BBTN), and PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk. (BMRI). The data analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression. The results show that partially, deferred tax assets do not have a significant effect on earnings management, while earning power has a significant effect. Simultaneously, deferred tax assets and earning power significantly affect earnings management practices. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of accounting science and serve as a reference for company management and stakeholders in making decisions based on financial reports.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there is unit-linked sharia insurance. The governance of Islamic financial instruments tends to be considered better than conventional instruments. The sharia principle is the principle of Islamic law in insurance activities based on fatwas issued by institutions that have authority in determining fatwas in the field of sharia. Based on Law Number 40 of 2014, sharia insurance is a collection of agreements, consisting of agreements between sharia insurance companies (tijarah  or buying and selling contracts) and policyholders as well as agreements between policyholders (tabarru' or social funds), in the context of contribution management. The basic principle of Islamic finance is that the economy of the people involves the participation of as many people as possible. "In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, investors tend to choose instruments that are safe from turmoil". Sharia insurance is an insurance model that follows the principles of sharia law (Islam) also known as takaful, where customers as insurance participants contribute with the tabarru' contract to help each other among participants who face disasters, or it can be said to be a risk sharing concept  among participants. Sharia insurance runs within the framework of sharia law, which prohibits transactions by charging interest (riba), engaging in speculative transactions (gharar), and investing in morally and socially detrimental businesses (haram). Types of sharia insurance, namely: (1). Life Insurance; (2). Health Insurance; (3). Property Insurance; (4). Motor Vehicle Insurance; (5). Travel Insurance; (6). Sharia health insurance. The concept of sharia insurance: (1). Help through the concept of ta'awun by forming a collective fund for the common good; (2). Protect each other through the concept of takaful by providing protection in the form of compensation, reimbursement, or payment for the occurrence of a certain risk. Sharia insurance can help manage risks, namely: (1). Anticipation of various risks should be identified in advance; (2). Participation in insurance should be in accordance with the needs and financial capabilities of each individual; (3). Forming an investment fund for future plans.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low motivation of students in learning IPAS, especially in the material of Earth Changes in class V SDN 03 Bendosari. This condition is caused by the dominance of the lecture method and the lack of use of interactive learning media, making students less interested and tend to be passive in participating in the learning process. One of the solutions offered to overcome these problems is to utilize technology-based learning media, namely Chromebooks. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Chromebook media on students' learning motivation. This study used a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 20 fifth grade students of SDN 03 Bendosari who were selected through saturated sampling technique. The research instrument is a learning motivation questionnaire which includes three main aspects, namely attention, confidence, and satisfaction, with a total of 20 statement items. Before use, the instrument was tested for validity and reliability with the help of the Jamovi 2.3.28 application. The validity test results show that the KMO value is 0.830 and the Bartlett's Test is significant (p < 0.001), indicating that the instrument is suitable for use. The reliability test shows the Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.939 which is included in the very high category. The results of the pretest and posttest data normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test show a value of p = 0.985, which means that the data is normally distributed. Hypothesis testing was carried out with Paired Sample t-Test and obtained a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, which indicates that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The average student learning motivation score increased from 65.9 in the pretest to 86.5 in the posttest. This shows that the use of Chromebook media in IPAS learning can significantly increase students' learning motivation. Thus, Chromebook media can be used as an effective alternative in creating more interesting, interactive, and meaningful learning for elementary school students.
