Humanities and Language : International Journal of Linguistics, Humanities, and Education (abbreviated as HUMANIOLA) is an academic, open access, peer-reviewed journal that was established and first published in 2023 by Abdul Media Literasi. Abstract

The northern part of Kerala state is known as Malabar region and thidambu nritham is a unique ritualistic dance form customary in the region. It is a dance with the replica of the presiding deity on the head. This paper explores the characteristics of key rituals, percussion accompaniment, rhythms and legends connected to thidambu nritham involving presentation of the results of the preliminary analytic research. Thidambu nritham is the last event among the sequence of events such as sreebhoothabali, processions, ashtapadi and chendamelam. The geometry as well as shape of the frame used to decorate thidambu correspond to the region in which the festival is organized. King Kolathiri was the patron of the event which began in a rough and ready form in the 13th century AD which combined shaivism (concept of sivapurana) and vaishnavism (concept of kaliyamarddana) prevalent in those days in the south India.

Abstract

Although milk is a vital source of nutrients and energy, its safety depends heavily on sanitary handling, storage, and marketing procedures. This study used proximate analysis, microbial load estimation, and field-based hygiene assessments to examine the cleanliness state of raw milk sold in Lahore, Pakistan. In accordance with AOAC protocols, samples were gathered from two disparate urban areas (Iqbal Town and Gulberg) and examined for fat, protein, moisture, ash, acidity, total solids, and solids-not-fat content. The Methylene Blue Reduction Test (MBRT) and the Total Bacterial Count (TBC) were used to evaluate the microbiological quality. The majority of the samples did not meet Punjab Pure Food and Codex requirements, according to the data. According to MBRT results, just 13.3% of samples were good, 23.3% were fair, and 63.6% were of poor quality. In almost every instance, TBC levels were higher above allowable limits, suggesting a substantial danger of microbiological contamination. These findings were supported by field surveys, which showed that 80% of vendors sold milk in thin plastic bags that encourage bacterial growth and chemical contamination, 35% used containers that were not properly cleaned, and 65% of vendors had poor personal hygiene.  Pathogens including Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli pose major health concerns to the population, and the lack of cold chain management further degraded milk quality. In order to guarantee milk safety and the welfare of consumers, the study emphasizes the critical need for more hygienic enforcement, better transportation and storage procedures, and awareness campaigns.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive syntactical analysis of the potential form (Kanoukei) in Japanese, examining its structural patterns and pedagogical implications. The research employed a qualitative, library-based methodology to systematically analyze conjugation rules and syntactic structures across different verb groups and sentence types. The findings reveal that Kanoukei follows predictable patterns: godan doushi undergoes phonological changes (-u to -eru), ichidan doushi adds -rareru, and fukisoku doushi demonstrates irregular but consistent forms. Crucially, the study identifies the obligatory particle shift from を (o) to が (ga) as a fundamental syntactical restructuring that signifies a cognitive shift from action-oriented to capability-focused expressions. The analysis supports Shibatani's (1990) theoretical framework regarding the historical evolution of Kanoukei from passive constructions, explaining its unique grammatical position that bridges voice modification and modality expression. The research demonstrates Kanoukei's consistent implementation across affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentence structures, confirming its grammatical stability in Japanese syntax. From a pedagogical perspective, the study provides a structured framework for teaching Kanoukei, which is particularly beneficial for Indonesian learners who face challenges due to linguistic differences between Japanese and their native language. The findings provide educators with evidence-based strategies for transforming Kanoukei instruction from rote memorization to conceptual understanding, potentially reducing common errors and enhancing learning outcomes. This research makes a significant contribution to Japanese language pedagogy while establishing a replicable methodology for analyzing other complex grammatical structures.

Abstract

This article is devoted to the translation of the poem “Almotanabi” (given in the author’s writing) by the famous European poet Adam Mickiewicz into Polish, made from the text of Granger de Lagrange’s translation of the French language. The very fact of translation from Arabic into French makes it possible to study this poem from various perspectives: a comparative analysis of the French translation and the original Arabic text, and an analysis of the text that clarifies the motives for referring to this work and the corresponding interpretations of the author. Our research focuses on the latter type, which aims to identify details of interpretation that clarify their similarity or difference with the original. Considering the fact that every translation is an inevitable transformation of the text on the part of the translator, Mickiewicz’s translation should be considered both a translation and a stylization of the source text. The analysis shows that, despite his sufficient knowledge of the Arabic author and his qasida, he could not avoid the perception of the text by the European reader, which allows us to regard his translation as a West-Eastern synthesis in the spirit of the famous German poet I.V. Goethe.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, GLS) has been implemented in Indonesia for nearly nine years, and its effectiveness needs to be evaluated. This study aims to determine the correlation between literacy activities and students’ academic achievement at SDN Bojasari Wonosobo. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, involving 58 students from grades IV and V as participants. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that literacy activities do not significantly influence students’ academic achievement. The literacy program was found to be less effective due to the following factors: (1) students focus more on summarizing than on understanding the content, (2) not all teachers provide follow-up activities, either written or verbal, (3) some students lack the ability to apply reading strategies, (4) many students do not use appropriate strategies to comprehend texts, and (5) few students use non-textbook resources to enrich their knowledge.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven a transformation in elementary education toward more interactive and collaborative learning aligned with 21st-century competencies. This study conducts a systematic literature review of publications from 2020 to 2025 to map the implementation of digital-based STEM in elementary schools, the learning models employed, the impacts on student outcomes, and the challenges encountered. Article searches were conducted in Google Scholar and the SINTA-indexed database, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, yielding 10 studies for thematic analysis. The review indicates the use of interactive e-modules, digital videos, learning applications, virtual laboratories, and educational robotics, which generally enhance learning outcomes, creativity, numeracy literacy, critical thinking, and computational thinking. Key challenges include limited infrastructure, teacher readiness, and inconsistent quality of digital media. The findings underscore the need for policy support, improved teacher competencies, and higher-quality digital learning resources to optimize the integration of digital-based STEM in elementary education.
