Abstract

This study examines the role of Majelis Taklim Masjid At-Tawwabin in enhancing religious understanding among the Muslim community in Medan City, North Sumatra. Majelis taklim is a non-formal Islamic educational institution that functions as a medium for religious learning, moral development, and social reinforcement within the community. This research employs a qualitative approach using field research methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving three administrators of the majelis taklim and two active congregants. The findings indicate that Majelis Taklim Masjid At-Tawwabin plays a significant role in improving religious knowledge, strengthening worship practices, and fostering positive religious attitudes among community members. Well-organized management, relevant religious materials, and participatory teaching methods contribute to the effectiveness of majelis taklim activities. This study concludes that mosque-based majelis taklim has strong potential as a sustainable model of community-based religious education.

Abstract

The development of social commerce in Indonesia has driven significant changes in online consumer shopping behavior. Increasingly intense competition among e-commerce platforms requires TikTok Shop to be able to maintain customer loyalty. This study aims to analyze the effect of price and trust on customer loyalty in purchasing products on TikTok Shop. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 96 respondents who are active TikTok Shop users. The data analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression supported by classical assumption tests. Hypothesis testing is conducted through t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results show that the price variable has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The trust variable is also found to have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Price and trust simultaneously have a significant influence on customer loyalty with an R² value of 0.523. The findings of this study confirm that an appropriate pricing strategy can increase customer loyalty on TikTok Shop. The enhancement of consumer trust through good service quality also becomes a major factor in maintaining customer loyalty.

Abstract

Freedom of expression is a fundamental human rights to seek, receive, and disseminate information or ideas freely, and its existence is regulated by the constitution. Freedom of expression can be done in various forms, one of them is art. Art is a part of human creative expression that presents beauty, involving skill, and bringing  out the sensitivity of the heart.  Juris Stage provides room for movement for undergraduate law department students Universitas Harkat Negeri in carrying out social criticism throught art. The research method used was a qualitative approach targeting Undergraduate law department  students from class of 2025. The results of the study show that Juris Stage participants express his social criticism through music, poetry, and stand up comedy where each material contains criticism of problems that exist around. With the existence of the Juris Stage it is hoped that there is institutional support, students awareness, and community involvement to create synergy between students and the community in solving social problems.

Abstract

The slowdown of the national economic condition is one of the factors affecting the sustainability of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, particularly regarding the compliance of independent participants in paying BPJS Health contributions. Economic instability, characterized by declining income, increasing cost of living, and household financial pressure, can impact participants’ ability and willingness to meet contribution obligations regularly. This study aims to examine the effect of economic slowdown on the compliance of BPJS Health contributions among independent participants using a literature review approach. The method employed is a literature review by analyzing various national scientific articles published within the last five years (2020–2024) and obtained from accredited journals and online scientific repositories. The findings indicate that economic aspects, such as income level, ability to pay, and willingness to pay, play a significant role in the level of contribution compliance. In addition to economic factors, participants’ understanding of JKN benefits, perception of healthcare service quality, as well as contribution policies and the implementation of sanctions also influence compliance. Economic slowdown tends to reduce contribution compliance, especially among low-income participants and informal sector workers. Therefore, strategic efforts by the government and BPJS Health are necessary through more adaptive policies, targeted subsidies, enhanced participant education, and the development of flexible contribution schemes to maintain the sustainability of the JKN program amid national economic dynamics.

Abstract

Basic education plays a crucial role in providing students with basic knowledge and skills, including reading skills as a foundation for subsequent learning. Early reading skills, particularly reading the hijaiyah letters, require serious attention because they impact advanced reading skills. Initial observations in class B of KB Ar-Rohmah I Singosari showed that most children aged 5–6 years were unfamiliar with the hijaiyah letters and experienced reading difficulties, resulting in suboptimal learning activities. This situation necessitates the use of engaging learning media that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood. This study aims to determine the use of smartboards and their impact on the hijaiyah reading skills of 5–6-year-old children at KB Ar-Rohmah I Singosari. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Smartboards were used to visually and interactively display the Hijaiyah letters to help children recognize and read them more easily. The results showed that: the use of smartboards in teaching the Hijaiyah letters at KB Ar-Rohmah I Singosari was implemented through lesson planning, visual and audio presentation of the Hijaiyah letters, teacher pronunciation demonstrations, interactive reading activities, and evaluation of children's development. The use of smartboards proved effective in improving the reading skills of children aged 5–6 years. Improvements were seen in letter recognition, pronunciation accuracy, reading fluency, and self-confidence. In Cycle I, children's reading skills began to improve, while in Cycle II, the improvement became more significant and stable, thus achieving the research success indicator.

Abstract

The economic burden of disease is a major challenge in the Indonesian health system, primarily due to the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases that require long-term healthcare costs. One strategy developed to reduce this burden is free preventive health checks (screening) through a promotive and preventive approach. This study aims to examine the role of free preventive health checks (screening) in reducing the economic burden of disease in Indonesia. The research method used was a literature review by examining national and international scientific articles published in the last five years (2020–2025). The literature search was conducted through Google Scholar, GARUDA, and PubMed databases with keywords related to health screening, economic burden of disease, and health economics. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and narrative synthesis. The results of the study indicate that free health screening plays a role in increasing early disease detection, reducing the cost of further treatment, reducing hospitalization rates, and reducing productivity losses due to chronic diseases. In addition, free screening also improves public access to health services, especially for low-income groups. Thus, free preventive health checks (screening) can be seen as a strategic and cost-effective health investment in supporting the control of the economic burden of disease and national health development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Discussion on legal protection for consumers regarding sales and purchase agreements based on standard clauses. The research was conducted using normative juridical methods. The results of the research concluded that legal protection for house sales and purchase agreements using standard clauses is that sales and purchase agreements that are usually made before the Deed of Sale and Purchase, can be canceled on the condition that the parties must know and agree with each other who will bind themselves in the agreement by including a clause that will override Article 1266 of the Civil Code, so that the conditions for canceling the PPJB can be carried out without the need for a judge's approval in court.

Abstract

Discussion on the legal certainty of the annulment of a second marriage due to the failure to fulfill the marriage requirements. The method used in this study is a normative juridical research type, namely library legal research or secondary data with primary, secondary and tertiary legal sources. The legal certainty of a second marriage according to the Marriage Law that does not fulfill the requirements reflects the failure of the legal norm system to be enforced consistently in accordance with the applicable normative hierarchy, thus giving rise to legal uncertainty. However, even though the marriage is null and void by law, the legal system still provides corrective space through other norms in family civil law that function to maintain the values ​​of justice and humanity. This reflects that legal certainty according to Kelsen is not merely rigid, but also considers corrective mechanisms to protect the basic rights of citizens within the applicable positive legal framework.

Abstract

Jayapura Hospital is the main referral hospital in Papua and plays an important role in public health services. The management of hazardous and toxic (B3) waste at this hospital still faces various obstacles, including the lack of waste segregation by type, limited storage facilities and infrastructure, and a suboptimal monitoring and evaluation system. These conditions contribute to work accidents among medical personnel, such as needlestick injuries and exposure to infectious waste. This study uses the qualitative Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method to identify the root causes of non-compliance in B3 waste management that lead to these problems and accidents at Jayapura Hospital. The results show that the B3 medical waste management process at Jayapura Hospital is not yet in accordance with the Regulation of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry No. 56 of 2015 on technical requirements and procedures for B3 waste management from healthcare facilities. Waste reduction and segregation are identified as key components in B3 medical waste management. The main contributing factors to the problems are the lack of staff compliance and awareness regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), especially in the segregation of sharp waste and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), compounded by inadequate facilities such as limited safety box availability and weak supervision and management commitment.

Abstract

Discussion on legal certainty regarding land ownership certificates controlled by foreign nationals due to divorce in mixed marriages. The research was conducted using normative juridical methods. The results of the research concluded that mixed marriages between Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreign citizens (WNA) are increasingly prevalent along with increasing global mobility. However, behind this legally valid relationship, there are complex problems related to ownership of assets, especially land, which can only be owned by Indonesian citizens as regulated in Article 21 paragraph (1) and paragraph (3) of the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA). Legal certainty does not reflect justice, so to obtain its benefits, Indonesian citizens must sue. This legal certainty is obtained because of the existence of regulations, so that foreign nationals and Indonesian citizens who carry out the divorce according to legal regulations are not allowed to have land ownership certificates are required to sell the land so that it can be divided in two.
