Abstract

Abstract. Background: Insufficient breast milk production remains a leading cause of exclusive breastfeeding failure in postpartum mothers, particularly in the early postpartum period. Physiological and psychological barriers — including impaired let-down reflexes, post-caesarean effects, and maternal anxiety — reduce milk output and drive supplementation with infant formula. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of oxytocin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers admitted to RSUD dr. M. Thomsen Nias. Methods: A quantitative one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design was employed. A total of 21 postpartum mothers were selected through purposive sampling from the Postnatal Ward of RSUD dr. M. Thomsen Nias from 1 to 14 February 2026. Oxytocin massage was administered along the spine to the 5th–6th costae for 10–15 minutes per session over three consecutive days. Breast milk volume was measured using a manual breast pump before and after each session. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the paired sample t-test. Results: Mean breast milk production increased significantly from 22.86 ml (SD = 7.171) at pretest to 52.14 ml (SD = 16.013) at posttest, representing a 128.1% increase. The paired sample t-test confirmed a statistically significant effect (t = −8.476; df = 20; p = 0.000; p < α = 0.05). Conclusion: Oxytocin massage is an effective, safe, and easily implemented non-pharmacological intervention for enhancing breast milk production in postpartum mothers, with strong potential for integration into standard postnatal midwifery care protocols. Abstract

Maladministration in public services remains a problem that has the potential to reduce the quality of governance and trigger corrupt practices. Therefore, accountable oversight is needed through the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia as a public service supervisory institution. This study aims to analyze the accountability of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia in resolving public service maladministration in 2022 from the perspective of state administrative law. The study uses normative legal methods with a statutory and conceptual approach. Data were obtained through a literature review of relevant laws and regulations, legal doctrine, Ombudsman reports, and scientific literature, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results show that the Ombudsman's accountability is realized through a mechanism for receiving and examining public reports, self-initiated investigations, issuing corrective recommendations, and reporting on institutional performance. Politically, the Ombudsman has an independent position and is free from power intervention. Financially, the institution's accountability is reflected in the achievement of an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board consecutively since 2016. Legally, the Ombudsman acts as an administrative oversight instrument in preventing abuse of authority and strengthening the principles of good governance in public services.

Abstract

Abstract. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence has enabled the creation of deepfake content that is increasingly realistic and difficult to distinguish from authentic media. The widespread dissemination of deepfakes on social media, particularly TikTok, has generated diverse public responses due to risks of misinformation, opinion manipulation, and ethical concerns. As one of the most popular platforms in Indonesia, TikTok provides a space for public opinion through user comments. This study aims to analyze public sentiment toward deepfake content on TikTok using a deep learning approach based on the IndoBERT model. The dataset consists of 4,000 Indonesian-language comments collected through web scraping using deepfake-related keywords. Sentiment labeling was conducted using a lexicon-based approach and classified into positive, neutral, and negative categories. The research process includes text preprocessing, data splitting, and IndoBERT fine-tuning. Model performance is evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that negative sentiment dominates, indicating public concern over potential misuse of deepfake technology. This study provides insights for policymakers and platform stakeholders.

Abstract

Picky eating is an eating behavior in children characterized by a tendency to be selective about food and refuse certain types of food. This behavior is common during the toddler period and may affect nutritional intake if it persists over time. This study aimed to describe picky eating behavior among toddlers aged 12–36 months in the working area of Puskesmas Tatapaan, South Minahasa Regency. A descriptive quantitative design was employed involving 81 toddlers selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Child Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (CEBQ) and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that 58 toddlers (71.6%) exhibited a tendency toward picky eating behavior, while 23 toddlers (28.4%) did not. Most toddlers demonstrated a positive interest in food; however, they also showed sensitivity to satiety and a high desire to drink. In conclusion, picky eating in this study reflected selective eating rather than complete food refusal, indicating that parental education on responsive feeding is essential to optimize children's nutritional intake. This study was limited by the use of parent-reported data and a descriptive design, which may restrict causal interpretation. Therefore, further analytical or longitudinal studies are recommended to identify factors associated with picky eating behavior in toddlers.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the difficulties first-year students experience in adjusting, particularly in terms of adapting, making friends, and understanding new learning patterns. In this context, self-efficacy was hypothesized to play a crucial role. This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and adjustment among first-year undergraduate students at Battuta University. A quantitative approach was employed using a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. The respondents consisted of 227 students. Data were collected using a Likert scale instrument and subsequently analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation technique. The analysis results indicated a correlation coefficient of r = 0,243, suggesting a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. However, this study is limited by its exclusive focus on internal factors (self-efficacy) without incorporating external factors, such as social support. Therefore, it is recommended that the university establish orientation or counseling programs focused on enhancing the self-efficacy of newly enrolled students, and that future researchers explore other external variables.

Abstract

The demands of bureaucratic reform require civil servants to have professional, adaptive, and public service-oriented performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture based on the Denison model, specifically the dimensions of involvement and adaptability, on employee performance at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Maluku Province with the Core Values of ASN BerAKHLAK as a moderating variable. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on 157 civil servants selected through a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that involvement and adaptability had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The Core Values of ASN BerAKHLAK were shown to moderate the relationship between adaptability and employee performance in a negative direction, but did not significantly moderate the relationship between involvement and performance. These findings indicate that organizational culture plays an important role in improving civil servant performance, while internalization of BerAKHLAK values can influence the employee adaptation process in a bureaucratic environment. This study enriches the study of organizational culture and bureaucratic reform in the public sector in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of agricultural capital financing based on the Rahn Tasjily contract at the KSPPS BMT Al-Hikmah Semesta, Kaliaman Branch. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through field observations, in-depth interviews with managers and members receiving financing, and documentation related to the implementation of agricultural financing. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques that include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to obtain a comprehensive picture of the implementation of the Rahn Tasjily contract. The results of the study indicate that this financing helps farmers obtain business capital more easily without losing ownership of collateral assets. The financing is used to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural production inputs, thereby supporting increased productivity and farmer income. In addition, this sharia-based financing also helps reduce farmers' dependence on loan sharks. However, the study found several obstacles, such as low sharia financial literacy, the risk of crop failure, fluctuations in commodity prices, and weak collateral legality. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen education, risk management, and financing governance to ensure the sustainability of the program.

Abstract

An unbalanced diet can contribute to nutritional problems among adolescents. In addition, changes in adolescents’ lifestyles that tend to lead to a sedentary lifestyle may increase the risk of overweight and obesity. This study aimed to determine the relationship between fast food consumption and sedentary lifestyle with students’ nutritional status. This study employed a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique, involving 118 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between fast food consumption and students’ nutritional status (p = 0.564). However, there was a significant relationship between sedentary lifestyle and students’ nutritional status (p = 0.008). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that a sedentary lifestyle or low physical activity has a greater influence on students’ nutritional status compared to fast food consumption. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary behavior in order to maintain and improve students’ nutritional status.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and synthesize research findings related to the effect of various types of organic acids on the characteristics of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) peel lignin as a raw material for bio-based adhesives and to identify its potential use as an alternative environmentally friendly adhesive. The study uses a literature study method sourced from national and international scientific articles obtained through the Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and SpringerLink databases with a publication range of 2014–2024. The analysis was conducted on studies discussing lignin extraction, precipitation processes using organic acids, lignin characterization, and its application in lignin-based adhesive formulations. In addition, a bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer on 114 publications was conducted to map research developments, keyword trends, and the relationship between dominant research themes. The results of the bibliometric analysis indicate that the topics of lignin, bio-based adhesives, biomass valorization, and organic acid treatment have become the main focus of research in the last decade. The results of literature synthesis indicate that the use of organic acids, such as acetic acid, maleic acid, and citric acid, produces different lignin characteristics, especially in chemical structure, phenolic group content, thermal stability, and adhesive reactivity. Characterization using FTIR, TGA, NMR, and SEM indicates that breadfruit peel lignin has high potential as a raw material for bio-based adhesives for more sustainable wood and plywood applications
