Abstract

This study shows that the development of tourism villages in Tenjolaya Village has had a positive impact on improving the local economy. Key findings include increased economic activity through business opportunities, employment, increased community income, and increased tourist visits. The condition of the tourism villages, assessed as good in terms of attractions, accessibility, amenities, and institutions, demonstrates that destination management has been able to support tourism activities optimally. The analysis also indicates a strong relationship between tourism villages and local economic growth, confirming that the village tourism sector can be a driver of the community's economy. However, the contribution of tourism villages to the local economy is not yet fully dominant because there are still other factors that influence community economic growth. The implications of these findings indicate that tourism village development needs to be supported by strengthening infrastructure, improving the quality of tourism services, empowering local communities, and collaboration between the government, tourism managers, and the community to ensure optimal and sustainable economic benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), price, and taste perception on consumer purchase decisions at Almaz Chicken, as well as to explain the phenomenon of business performance decline marked by the closure of several outlets. This research employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents selected using simple random sampling. data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that partially, E-WOM, price, and taste perception have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. Taste Perception is Identified as the most dominant variable influencing consumer decisions. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect purchase decisions, with an F-Value of 48.672 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.589, indicating that 58.9% of the variation in purchase decisions can be explained by the model. These findings suggest that in the culinary industry, consumption experience reflected through taste perception plays a crucial role in sustaining purchase decisions, while E-WOM and price act as supporting factors. The decline in Almaz Chicken’s performance is likely driven by inconsistencies in product quality, which trigger negative E-WOM and reduce perceived value among consumers. Therefore, maintaining consistent product quality is essential for business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of influencer, Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), and promotion on impulse buying on Shopee Live, with price as an intervening variable. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The population consists of Shopee users in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), with a sample of 196 respondents determined using the Lemeshow method. The results indicate that influencer, E-WOM, promotion, and price have a positive and significant effect on impulse buying. Price is found to be the most dominant factor with a coefficient of 0.392, followed by promotion (0.267), E-WOM (0.241), and influencer (0.218). Furthermore, price significantly mediates the relationship between influencer, E-WOM, promotion, and impulse buying. The R-square value of 0.703 demonstrates that the model has strong explanatory power for impulse buying behavior. These findings suggest that impulse buying behavior on Shopee Live is not purely spontaneous but is influenced by emotional stimuli, social validation, and rational evaluation of price. Therefore, effective marketing strategies should integrate promotion, influencer marketing, and E-WOM with appropriate price management to enhance consumers’ impulse buying decisions.

Abstract

Background: Life in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) requires students (santri) to adapt to new and challenging environments, ranging from separation from family to intensive academic and religious pressures. These conditions potentially affect the students' psychological well-being. Social support from peers, caregivers, and family is believed to be a significant protective factor in maintaining individual well-being. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between social support and psychological well-being among santri in pesantren in Bogor City. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 214 santri selected through stratified random sampling from three pesantren in Bogor City in 2026. Instruments used were the Social Support Scale by Sarafino & Smith and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. Data analysis included univariate, bivariate, and Pearson correlation tests. Results: The majority of respondents had high social support (58.4%) and moderate psychological well-being (52.3%). Pearson correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between social support and psychological well-being (r = 0.612; p < 0.001). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between social support and psychological well-being among santri in Bogor City. Higher social support received by santri corresponds to better psychological well-being. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening social support networks within the pesantren ecosystem as a mental health promotion strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the mechanisms of tacit knowledge sharing among baristas in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector in Indonesia. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design at de Ngokow Coffee Roastery & Tea Club in Yogyakarta. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews and open-ended questionnaires with 14 baristas, then analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of knowledge sharing and organizational learning. The results showed that experiential learning is the primary means of barista skill acquisition, particularly related to sensory abilities, brewing techniques, and customer service. Tacit knowledge transfer occurs predominantly through senior-junior mentoring, direct observation, and informal interactions in the workplace. The study also found that high employee turnover risks the loss of organizational knowledge due to the lack of a structured knowledge documentation system. These findings emphasize the importance of developing mentoring programs, visual documentation, and employee retention strategies to maintain the sustainability of competencies in MSMEs in the food and beverage sector. This study provides an empirical contribution to the study of knowledge management in the hospitality industry and MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The transportation of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) is a crucial stage in the palm oil production process as it directly affects the quality of raw materials delivered to the mill. Delays in FFB transportation can lead to the occurrence of restan fruit, namely FFB that are not transported on the harvesting day, which subsequently results in an increase in free fatty acid (FFA) levels, a decline in Crude palm oil (CPO) quality, and reduced operational efficiency. This study aims to identify the main factors causing restan fruit during the FFB transportation process and to design process improvement measures using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method and the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle. FTA is applied to systematically map the cause-and-effect relationships of restan fruit problems to determine their root causes, while the PDCA cycle is implemented as a continuous improvement approach based on the results of the FTA analysis. This research was conducted at PT XAY Sumatra Utara Unit, with a focus on FFB transportation activities that potentially lead to restan fruit. The results indicate that the primary causes of restan fruit include limited availability of transport vehicles, poor plantation road conditions, suboptimal route and transportation scheduling, and ineffective coordination among operational units. The implementation of the PDCA cycle based on FTA findings is expected to minimize the occurrence of restan fruit, improve the timeliness of FFB transportation, and enhance the company’s operational performance on a sustainable basis.

Abstract

The high frequency of downtime and recurring failures of critical components in the sterilizer machine at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional II, Kebun and PKS Adolina Unit, indicates that the current maintenance system is not running optimally and is still dominated by corrective maintenance. This study aims to analyze and optimize the sterilizer machine's maintenance system through the application of the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methods. The FMEA method is used to identify failure modes, their causes, and determine the risk priority level based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN). Furthermore, the RCM method is applied to determine the most appropriate maintenance strategy based on component functions and their failure consequences. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a case study on the sterilizer machine at PKS Adolina, utilizing data obtained from field observations, interviews, and the company's historical data. The data analysis techniques include calculating the RPN value to determine critical components in FMEA, and performing the RCM decision logic analysis. The results show that the primary critical component failures are leakage in the exhaust packing, followed by the sterilizer door packing, and the condensate switch. The application of the RCM method generates recommendations for maintenance strategies in the form of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and failure-finding maintenance. By implementing these strategies, it is expected that the downtime of the sterilizer machine can be minimized and machine reliability can be enhanced sustainably.

Abstract

Successful breastfeeding is a key indicator of maternal and infant health during the postpartum period. Rooming-in and proper lactation techniques are two critical factors that contribute to breastfeeding success. However, various barriers, including maternal health conditions, limited institutional resources, and inadequate maternal knowledge, may hinder their implementation. This study aimed to examine the association between rooming-in practices and lactation techniques with breastfeeding success among postpartum mothers. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed. The study population consisted of 38 postpartum mothers in the Azalea Ward of RSUD dr. M. Thomsen Nias, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation checklists and structured questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The 38 participants, 31 (81.6%) practiced rooming-in, 30 (78.9%) demonstrated proper lactation techniques, and 31 (81.6%) achieved successful breastfeeding. Statistically significant associations were found between rooming-in and breastfeeding success (p = 0.001), as well as between proper lactation techniques and breastfeeding success (p = 0.025). Rooming-in and proper lactation techniques are significantly associated with breastfeeding success among postpartum mothers. Hospitals should maintain rooming-in policies and provide structured, hands-on breastfeeding education programs to enhance maternal and infant health outcomes.

Abstract

Arabic is frequently used in official religious activities; however, its social functions have not been widely examined from a sociolinguistic perspective. This study aims to analyze the social functions of Arabic in formal religious activities at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Mandailing Natal Regency using a sociolinguistic approach. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observations of formal religious activities, analysis of institutional documents, and interviews with relevant informants. Data analysis is conducted based on the concepts of language domains and social functions of language within sociolinguistic studies. The findings reveal that Arabic functions as a religious symbol that reinforces a sacred atmosphere, strengthens the Islamic identity of the institution, and provides religious legitimacy to formal activities. In addition, the use of Arabic contributes to the construction of religious authority, even though not all participants fully understand the linguistic meanings of the utterances. These findings indicate that Arabic in the context of religious bureaucracy carries significant social and institutional meanings beyond its communicative function. This study is expected to contribute to sociolinguistic studies on religion and to enhance understanding of the role of Arabic in formal religious settings in Indonesia.
