Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of accountability, transparency, and competence of village officials on the effectiveness of village fund management in Sungai Apit District. The study uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to village officials. The study population includes all village officials in Sungai Apit District, while a sample of 42 respondents was determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely village officials directly involved in village fund management. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression because the study aims to test the influence of several independent variables simultaneously or partially on one dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that simultaneously, accountability, transparency, and competence of village officials have a significant effect on the effectiveness of village fund management. Partially, accountability and transparency have a positive and significant effect, while the competence of village officials does not have a significant effect on the effectiveness of village fund management. These findings indicate that strengthening accountability and transparency is a major factor in increasing the effectiveness of village fund management in Sungai Apit District.

Abstract

Digital transformation is a crucial factor in enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs, particularly in the supermarket and minimarket retail sectors, which face changing consumer behavior and increasingly dynamic business competition. This study aims to analyze the influence of Digital Orientation and Digital Transformation on the operational performance of MSMEs in Padang City, with Digital Innovation as a mediating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 148 owners or managers of supermarket/minimarket retail MSMEs selected using probability sampling based on the Krejcie and Morgan table from a population of 239 business units. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that Digital Orientation and Digital Transformation had a positive and significant effect on Digital Innovation and operational performance. Furthermore, Digital Innovation had a positive effect on operational performance and was proven to mediate the effect of Digital Orientation on operational performance, but did not mediate the effect of Digital Transformation. These findings indicate that strengthening digital orientation followed by the development of digital innovation is an important factor in improving the operational performance of supermarket and minimarket retail MSMEs in Padang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Internal Control System, Community Participation, and Transparency on Village Fund Budget Efficiency—both individually and simultaneously—in Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing primary data collected via questionnaires. The study population comprised 14 villages, with a sample of 42 respondents selected through purposive sampling, including Village Heads, Village Secretaries, and Financial Officers/Treasurers. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that the Internal Control System did not significantly affect Village Fund Budget Efficiency (β = −0.051; t = −0.147; p = 0.884). Similarly, Community Participation did not have a significant effect at the 5% level (β = 0.387; t = 1.829; p = 0.075), although it showed a tendency toward a positive influence at the 10% level. Transparency also showed no significant effect (β = −0.073; t = −0.207; p = 0.837). However, when considered simultaneously, the three variables significantly influenced Village Fund Budget Efficiency (F = 3.891; p = 0.016) and explained 23.5% of the variation in budget efficiency (R² = 0.235). These findings suggest that budget efficiency is more meaningfully influenced by the combination of internal control, community participation, and transparency.

Abstract

Malaria diagnosis through microscopic images still faces challenges due to variations in the shape, size, and quality of blood cell images that can reduce the generalization ability of deep learning models. One approach to address this problem is data augmentation, but the effectiveness of various augmentation strategies on a hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Swin Transformer model has not been systematically compared. This study aims to compare the effect of five data augmentation strategies on the performance of the Hybrid CNN–Swin Transformer model in classifying malaria microscopic images. The NIH Malaria dataset consisting of 27,558 blood cell images was divided using the stratified split method with a ratio of 80:10:10. The model was trained using five augmentation strategies, namely Baseline (A0), Basic (A1), Geometric (A2), Advanced (A3), and RandAugment (A4), then evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, ROC-AUC, and Train-Val Gap. All strategies produced accuracy above 96% and ROC-AUC above 99%. Strategy A3 provided the highest classification performance with an accuracy of 97.79%, an F1-score of 97.78%, and an ROC-AUC of 99.52%, while strategy A2 showed the most stable generalization ability based on the Train-Val Gap value. The results of this study provide empirical evidence that the choice of augmentation strategy affects the performance and generalization of the model, and serve as a reference in the development of a Hybrid CNN–Swin Transformer-based malaria classification system.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in the XYZ ERP system using the Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES) approach. The study was conducted through pre-engagement interactions, intelligence gathering, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, exploitation, and reporting, utilizing OWASP ZAP as the primary testing tool. Vulnerabilities were classified based on the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE), while their severity was assessed using the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) version 3.1. The study identified four main vulnerabilities: SQL Injection (CVSS 8.3; High), Brute Force Login Page (CVSS 8.2; High), Cross-Site Scripting (CVSS 5.4; Medium), and the risk of active session abuse (CVSS 4.2; Medium). These vulnerabilities have the potential to threaten data confidentiality, integrity, and availability through unauthorized access, data manipulation, account takeover, and user session abuse. This research provides technical recommendations for improving ERP system security and serves as a reference for organizations in systematically evaluating and mitigating web application vulnerabilities.

Abstract

The use of Instagram Reels as a medium for disseminating educational information is increasing among teenagers. This situation makes the quality of Indonesian language use in educational content important to study because the language used not only influences the effectiveness of information delivery but also plays a role in shaping the language habits of the younger generation in digital media. This study aims to analyze the effective use of Indonesian in educational Instagram Reels content for teenagers. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with documentation techniques on 15 Instagram Reels content containing educational material from various fields. Data were analyzed based on four aspects: language standardization, sentence effectiveness, the use of foreign language mixtures, and clarity of meaning. The results showed that most of the content met the aspects of sentence effectiveness and clarity of meaning through the use of short, clear, and easy-to-understand sentences. However, the use of non-standard language, such as gak (no), udah (already), aja (aja), and kaya (kayak), as well as several English terms, such as working memory (mood), like (like), and follow (follow), were still found. These findings indicate that the language used in Instagram Reels content tends to adapt to the characteristics of social media and the teenage audience. Therefore, educational content creators need to maintain a balance between communicative language and adherence to Indonesian language rules so that social media can function as a means of education as well as fostering good and correct language use.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student responses and engagement regarding the use of the Educaplay platform in Social Studies (IPS) lessons for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 7 Ambon. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the teacher and fifth-grade students serving as informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the use of Educaplay elicited positive student responses, reflected in three key aspects: attention and interest, active engagement and participation, and perseverance and focus during the lesson. Students demonstrated enthusiasm for learning activities, participated more actively, and responded positively to the use of digital media. These findings suggest that the use of Educaplay fosters student engagement in Social Studies lessons and positively influences learning motivation. Thus, Educaplay serves as a viable interactive digital learning medium to support more engaging, student-centered Social Studies instruction in primary schools.

Abstract

The growth of digital financial services via the "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) model—such as Shopee PayLater—offers students easy access to financing but also risks fostering consumptive borrowing behavior. This study aims to analyze the impact of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, financial literacy, and hedonistic lifestyle on the borrowing behavior of Universitas Bima Internasional students who use Shopee PayLater. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative method was employed. Data were collected via questionnaires from 105 student users of Shopee PayLater, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that perceived ease of use has a positive and significant effect on borrowing behavior (β = 0.214; p = 0.021), as does perceived usefulness (β = 0.263; p = 0.005) and hedonistic lifestyle (β = 0.319; p < 0.001); conversely, financial literacy has a negative and significant effect (β = -0.286; p = 0.002). An R² value of 0.650 demonstrates that these four variables explain 65.0% of the variation in students' borrowing behavior. These findings suggest that the convenience and utility of BNPL, along with a hedonistic lifestyle, can increase the propensity to borrow, whereas financial literacy plays a role in mitigating this tendency. The study underscores the importance of strengthening students' financial literacy to ensure that BNPL services are used wisely and responsibly

Abstract

The preservation of local culture requires learning media that keep pace with technological advancements, enabling the younger generation to engage with history and cultural values ​​in a more compelling and interactive manner. One such local cultural element is the Kebagh Dance, a cultural icon of the Besemah community in Pagar Alam City. This study aims to develop and implement a web-based learning medium utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to introduce the history, music, folklore, and cultural aspects associated with the Kebagh Dance. The research methodology encompasses problem analysis, data collection, design, planning, development, testing, and implementation. Data were gathered through observation and user testing involving visitors to the Pagar Alam City Government Library, comprising both students and the general public. The learning medium was developed as a website featuring videos, images, audio, music, and AI-driven features to facilitate the interactive delivery of cultural information. Testing results revealed no errors in content delivery, while the media assessment achieved a score of 76%, placing it in the "good" category. Consequently, the developed web-based learning medium is deemed suitable for use as an educational tool to introduce and support the preservation of the Kebagh Dance culture at the Pagar Alam City Government Library.
