Abstract

This study explores the impact of higher education participation and poverty on human development across Indonesian provinces from 2018-2022. Human development is measured by the human development Index (HDI), Which reflects key aspects of well-being, including education, health, and income. A quantitative approach was employed using panel data regression analysis based on 170 observations from 34 provinces over a five-year period, obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Higher education participation is measured by the gross enrollment rate in higher education, poverty by the percentage of the population living below the poverty line, and human development by the Human Development Index (HDI). The results of the study indicate that Higher Education Participation has a significant positive effect on Human Development, while poverty has a significant negative effect on human development. The R-squared value indicates that 39.3% of the variation in Human Development can be explained by these two variables, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the model. The contribution of this study lies in providing the latest empirical evidence that strengthens the position of higher education as a long-term strategy in human resource development.

Abstract

This study examines how learning motivation, self-efficacy, procrastination, and the misuse of information technology influence academic cheating among 11th grade accounting students in East Jakarta. These four variables were chosen because they represent essential internal and external drivers of academic behavior. Using a quantitative approach and proportional random sampling, with study population consisted of 180 students and sample size of 123 students. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25, which included multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal that motivation and self-efficacy negatively affect cheating, while procrastination and technology misuse increase its likelihood. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing students’ intrinsic motivation and digital ethics to reduce dishonest behavior in vocational settings.

Abstract

This study was designed to investigate how learning discipline and learning styles function as predictors of academic achievement among vocational high school students in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach, the research involved 105 respondents selected through stratified probability sampling. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and supporting documentation. All statistical computations were performed using SPSS 29. Learning discipline emerged as a strong predictor (p = 0.000) with a contribution of 32.1%, while learning style also showed a significant effect (p = 0.002) with a contribution of 16.4%. These results suggest that both variables partially affect student achievement. Simultaneously, the ANOVA test yielded p-value of 0.000 with a combined contribution of 38.3%, indicating that learning discipline and learning styles together exert a substantial influence on the academic achievement of Grade XI and XII Office Management students in the Human Resource Management subject at SMK Negeri 46 Jakarta. These insights underscore the need for schools to foster structured learning habits and accommodate diverse learning preferences to optimize student achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how effective corporate governance, leverage, and firm size affect earnings management in 2023 for consumer goods manufacturing businesses as well as textile and apparel subsectors that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Purposive sampling, which selects samples based on predetermined criteria, was employed in this study. The samples were 43 manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector, as well as textile and garment sub-sectors and components that satisfied 5 predetermined sample criteria. Based on the results, institutional ownership has no significant effect on earnings management, while independent commissioners, leverage, and firm size have a significant influence on earnings management. Institutional ownership, independent commissioners, leverage, and firm size have a significant effect on earnings management. These research findings enrich academic and practical references regarding the determinants of earnings management in the manufacturing industry listed on the IDX.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media called "kantAR" and measure its feasibility level for the subject of Automation of Office Facilities and Infrastructure Management at SMKN 48 Jakarta. The background of this study is the existence of problems in the learning process, such as monotonous media and students' difficulties in visualizing abstract office equipment in textbooks. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the 4D model consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The results of the study showed that the "kantAR" learning media obtained an average feasibility percentage of 89.5% from material experts and media experts, which is included in the "very feasible" category. Furthermore, the results of the trial on students in the one-to-one evaluation stage obtained a score of 99% and the small group evaluation stage obtained a score of 91%, both of which showed the "very practical" category. Thus, it is concluded that the AR media "kantAR" is very feasible and practical to be implemented as an innovative and interactive learning solution to improve student understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and entrepreneurship on business success, with product innovation as a mediating variable, in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) assisted by OK OCE Indonesia in the DKI Jakarta region. A quantitative approach was used, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 150 MSMEs selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that competence and entrepreneurship have a positive and significant effect on business success. Both variables also have a significant contribution to product innovation, which is further proven to have a positive effect on business success. Product innovation has been shown to act as a mediator, although the resulting mediation effect is relatively limited. The practical implications of this study can be the basis for the development of more targeted training, mentoring, and capacity building programs to support the effectiveness of MSME empowerment programs by OK OCE.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between financial literacy, lifestyle, and consumptive behaviour, with self-control as a moderating variable among the millennial sandwich generation in DKI Jakarta. From approximately 2 million millennials, an estimated 24.4% are classified as sandwich generation. Using this estimation and the Isaac and Michael table with a 5% margin of error, a sample of 350 respondents was selected through snowball sampling. A quantitative method was applied, and data were analysed using multiple linear regression (MLR) and moderated regression analysis (MRA) with SPSS version 29. The results reveal that financial literacy has a significant negative effect on consumptive behaviour, while lifestyle and self-control have significant positive effects. However, self-control does not moderate the effect of financial literacy or lifestyle on consumptive behaviour. These findings suggest that although self-control influences consumption directly, it does not alter the effects of other variables. This study emphasizes the importance of improving financial literacy as a key strategy to reduce consumptive behaviour, particularly among financially pressured groups like the sandwich generation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Indonesia's leading natural resources, especially in the mining sector, on the Indonesian economy as reflected in the Indonesia Composite Index (ICI). This study uses a quantitative approach, using monthly time series data for 9 years from 2016 to 2024. The testing was conducted using multiple regression analysis with data analysis tools using Eviews 12 software. Data analysis involved two main steps: 1) testing classical assumptions such as normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity; 2) multiple linear regression analysis; and 3) hypothesis testing such as partial or t-tests, simultaneous or F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study indicate that coal and gold prices have a significant positive effect on the Indonesia Composite Index (ICI). Nickel prices have no effect on the ICI. Simultaneously, the three commodity variables have a significant influence on the IHSG with a coefficient of determination of 59.54%. This finding indicates that Indonesia's leading commodities, namely coal, nickel, and gold, play an important role in influencing the capital market.
