Abstract

This research examines the Qur'anic perspective on gender role balance between men and women. This study aims to analyze Qur'anic verses that discuss gender relations and reveal how this holy book provides a comprehensive view of equality and balance of roles between the sexes. Through a thematic interpretation approach and contextual analysis, this research demonstrates that the Qur'an teaches principles of gender equality in various aspects of life, such as spiritual, social, educational, and economic. The findings reveal that the Qur'an does not discriminate against any particular gender, but rather emphasizes complementary roles and responsibilities between men and women. A proper understanding of the concept of gender balance in the Qur'an can provide a foundation for creating a more just and harmonious society..

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of munasabah as an alternative to the concept of asabab nuzul. This study uses a qualitative method of literature review. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. This research collects data from various literatures related to the study of munasabah in the Qur'an. The result of this study shows that munasabah is the right alternative to asbabun nuzul. The study of munasabah plays a significant role in explaining the context of a verse as well as the function of asbabun nuzul.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of tabayyun in the Quran and its importance in relation to the rampant phenomenon of spreading hoaxes on social media. The issue of hoaxes has emerged as a significant threat to social stability and interfaith harmony in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a thematic interpretation approach, this research analyzes the verses of the Quran with a special focus on the sixth verse of Surah Al-Hujurat.  Data collection is done through literature review by examining books of tafsir, and contemporary sources on social media. The results of this study show that: (1) The Quran has established a comprehensive framework for information verification through the concept of tabayyun, (2) The application of tabayyun in the digital era requires source verification, content analysis, and impact assessment; (3) There is a strong relevance between the concept of tabayyun and efforts to counter fake news, This study concludes that the concept of tabayyun in the Quran presents a solution to overcome the problem of fake news (hoax) on social media.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the terms "tarajji" and "tamanni" in the tafsir book "Safwah al-Tafasir" by Muhammad Aly al-Sabuni.Data collection was conducted by gathering data from the Quran and the opinions of tafsir scholars on tarajji and tamanni using a tafsir and linguistic approach. The data processing and analysis methods employed were descriptive and inductive.The research findings indicate that tarajji and tamanni are distinguished based on their wording and meaning. In terms of lafaz, tarajji is primarily expressed using the word "la'al" and occasionally with the word "'asa." The word "la'al" and its derivatives appear 129 times, while "'asa" and its derivatives appear 30 times.Tamanni, on the other hand, is expressed using the words "lait" and occasionally "law," "hal," and "ʾala." The word "lait" appears 14 times in the Quran, "law" appears 197 times, and "hal" appears 93 times. Keywords:  Tarajji, Tamanni, Safwah al-Tafasir

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the way humans interact and behave, bringing significant impacts across various aspects of life. This paper explores the concept of blessings in the digital era from the perspective of the Qur'an, focusing on the challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) in education. While AI offers ease of access to information, reliance on technology can undermine the emotional connection between teachers and students, which is essential for a blessed learning process. This study aims to understand how Qur'anic values can serve as a guide for the wise use of technology and offer solutions to achieve blessings amidst the rapid wave of digital transformation. Abstract

This study examines the concept of anger in the Qur'an based on key vocabulary. Anger is discussed in the context of God, the Prophet, and disbelievers, with various positive and negative meanings. The research aims to classify verses about anger and analyze their meanings according to Tafsīr al-Jaylānī. Using a qualitative method and thematic approach (mauḍū'i), this research examines the thoughts of 'Abd al-Qādir Jaylānī. The results show 45 verses discussing anger, with four key terms: gaḍab (anger affecting verbal expression and physical action), makẓūm (anger accompanied by grudge), gayẓ (explosive anger that damages the heart), and sukhṭ (anger due to inappropriate actions). This research provides insights into various aspects of anger in the Qur'an and its interpretation in Tafsīr al-Jaylānī.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between the local wisdom of the Bugis community, particularly the traditional advice (pappaseng ogi) "duami kuala sappo, unganna panasae na belona kalukue", and the values contained in the Qur’an. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and the contextual hermeneutics method, this study reveals the symbolic and ethical meanings of the expression and its connection to the concepts of honesty, steadfastness (istiqamah), purity, and cleanliness in Islamic teachings. It is hoped that the results of this research can strengthen the synergy between local wisdom and the universal values of Islam in shaping a society with honest and clean character in their way of life.  Keywords: (Local wisdom, Bugis, Qur’an, ethical values, steadfastness, Islamic culture)

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji Tafsir al-Mu’in, sebuah tafsir al-Qur’an berbahasa Bugis dengan aksara Lontara yang disusun oleh Anregurutta KH. Abdul Muin Yusuf bersama Tim MUI Sulawesi Selatan. Tafsir ini merepresentasikan upaya vernakularisasi Al-Qur’an di Sulawesi Selatan dan mencakup 30 juz. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi, penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa Tafsir al-Mu’in mengombinasikan metode tahlili dan ijmali, dengan dominasi tafsir bi al-ra’yi. Corak penafsirannya menonjolkan aspek fikih, sufistik, dan teologis. Tafsir al-Mu’in merujuk pada berbagai kitab tafsir otoritatif, baik klasik maupun modern, dan ditulis dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi sosio-kultural masyarakat Bugis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Tafsir al-Mu’in merupakan karya monumental yang berkontribusi dalam khazanah tafsir Nusantara dan revitalisasi budaya Bugis melalui pendekatan intelektual yang berbasis pada tradisi lokal.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berupaya untuk menganalisis kritik yang menuai sejumlah masyarakat terkait penggambaran karakter gaib yang dianggap menyimpang akidah dalam film animasi jumbo. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan metode analisis isi konten kemudian diintregasikan dengan nilai-nilai Qur’ani yang ditelaah melalui teori intertekstual milik Julia Kriteva. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa film animasi jumbo tidak seutuhnya diklaim menyimpang akidah. Karakter Meri hanyalah produk komodifikasi budaya di era komodifikasi fantasi. Masyarakat harus lebih berselektif dan lebih bijak bernalar dalam menanggapi permasalahan seperti ini, sebagaimana konsep kesempurnaan manusia dengan diberikannya akal yang tercermin dalam QS. at-Tin [95]: 4, as-Sajdah [32]: 7, dan al-Isra’ [17]: 70. Dalam menelaah ketiga ayat ini melibatkan teori intertekstual melalui proses transformasi, modifikasi, dan paralel yang mengungkapkan bahwa manusia merupakan makhluk paling sempurna dengan pemberian akal sehingga dapat membedakan mana yang baik dan buruk guna mencapai kesejahteraan di dunia dan akhirat.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the thoughts of Sheikh Mahmud Syaltut's Moral Education through one of his books, namely the Book of Tafsir al-Ajza' al-Asyrah al-Ula. The method of this research is qualitative research with a Library Research approach or literature review, which is a study that utilizes library sources to obtain research data, not the results of interviews or direct observation. The results of this study indicate that Mahmud Syaltut's thoughts in moral education tend to create a good and ideal social order. His thoughts on good and bad according to morals are that humans are indeed created to have these two potentials in their lives. The good that humans do comes from their obedience to God's commands, while the bad that they do is due to their negligence in following the whispers of Satan. While his thoughts on justice, he defines justice as equality that must be carried out by all who exist in this universe according to the guidance of the sharia.Keywords:  (Mahmud Syaltut, Tafsir al-Ajza' al-Asyrah al-Ula, Moral Education)
