Abstract

This research aims to examine in depth the strengthening of community social and economic literacy through an integrated intervention model approach in community-based service programmes. Using a qualitative literature review method and descriptive analysis, 20 articles selected from 30 literatures collected through Google Scholar and other credible websites (period 1987-2025) were analysed to find patterns, findings, and good practices in community empowerment. This study reveals that the success of improving the social and economic literacy of the community is greatly influenced by the active involvement of the community in the entire service process, from problem identification to monitoring and evaluation. Relevant theories such as Community Empowerment Theory, Participatory Development Approach, Asset-Based Community Development, and Ecological Systems Theory become the main foundation in supporting the implementation of sustainable integrated interventions. In addition, a number of case studies show that a holistic approach involving various social, economic, digital and local cultural aspects can significantly improve the individual and collective capacity of the community. The results of this study provide theoretical and practical contributions for service programme designers to be more structured, inclusive, and have a long-term impact on community independence.

Abstract

The ongoing transformation of education, which demands collaboration, innovation, and rapid adaptation, presents significant challenges to the effectiveness of educational human resources, particularly when interpersonal and organizational conflicts emerge as structural and psychological barriers within school environments. This study is a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to analyze the dynamics of conflict management in schools and its contribution to strengthening human resources in the context of educational transformation. Data were collected from 40 scholarly articles published between 1967 and 2025 via Google Scholar and other credible academic sources, then strictly selected down to 22 relevant articles. The review findings indicate that conflict management based on collaborative approaches, transformative leadership, and organizational culture reinforcement plays a crucial role in improving the performance effectiveness of educators and school staff. Analyzed case studies show that schools successfully managing conflicts constructively are able to create a more productive, adaptive work environment that supports the success of school-based community engagement programs. These findings affirm that conflict management must become an integral part of educational human resource development strategies to fully support the national education reform agenda.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to utilize competitive visual media, such as displaying images with English vocabulary, to enhance the English vocabulary acquisition of elementary school students. English is one of the subjects taught at the elementary school level and is considered an additional subject. English language proficiency is essential in the modern era and should be introduced from an early age to improve children's vocabulary absorption and comprehension. Vocabulary is one of the most critical components in learning a language. Visual media serve as an engaging and enjoyable tool for elementary students, as it allows them to learn while also playing. The use of instructional media is a supporting aspect that helps students master specific fields of study, particularly English. The results of the community service activity conducted at SDN 1403 Tiga Serangkai, Handio Village, show that songs are highly effective and can be used to introduce English vocabulary to children.

Abstract

Low levels of knowledge and understanding of sharia-based financial management within mosque environments remain a major obstacle in achieving transparent and accountable financial governance. This study aims to enhance sharia financial literacy among mosque administrators through training in mosque financial management aligned with sharia principles. The training was conducted in a structured manner and involved all mosque administrators in Handio Village. The results show that after each training session, there was a notable improvement in the administrators' understanding of fundamental sharia financial principles, such as honest financial recording, trustworthy management of social funds, and more orderly and transparent financial reporting. This activity also fostered collective awareness of the importance of sharia-based financial management in strengthening the congregation's trust in the mosque institution. Abstract

English language learning for early childhood in Handio Village has increasingly been introduced since the preschool (PAUD) level. This demand has led parents to enroll their children in schools where English is used as a medium of instruction. As a foreign language in Indonesia, English is gradually being introduced at the early childhood education (PAUD) level. Children aged 0–6 years are in their golden age, a critical period in human development that significantly influences their future growth. Therefore, all aspects of language should be introduced before this phase ends. English is now being introduced at the kindergarten level. To effectively teach English, appropriate learning methods must be employed to spark students’ interest and motivation in using English in fun, engaging learning activities—both in spoken and written forms—in ways that are fluent and socially contextual. This research aims to explore the implementation of English learning at the early childhood education (PAUD) level in Handio Village. Data collection was carried out through interviews to obtain direct verbal information. Among the preschools in Handio Village, one kindergarten (TK) was selected as the research site. From the data obtained, this TK has already integrated English learning into its teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the legal awareness of Islamic families among married couples in Handio Village, particularly concerning their rights and obligations. The lack of understanding of legal aspects in marriage often serves as a trigger for domestic conflicts. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with married couples, religious leaders, and community figures, as well as through observation. The findings reveal that most married couples in Handio Village have a limited understanding of their rights and obligations according to Islamic law and marriage legislation. This has led to a lack of justice and responsibility within households. Through counseling programs and interactive discussions, there was a significant improvement in their legal awareness. The program successfully fostered the understanding that family harmony is not only built on love but also on a fair comprehension and execution of mutual rights and responsibilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for enhancing citizen participation in environmental education through program innovations based on multi-stakeholder collaboration and the use of digital technology. The method employed is a literature review with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, primarily intended to enrich references related to community service in the field of environmental studies. Data were collected from scholarly articles in Google Scholar and credible websites within the period of 1977–2025. From the initial 50 articles identified, 27 were selected through a strict screening process based on relevance, quality, and contribution to the research topic. The findings reveal that enhancing citizen participation is influenced by cross-sector collaboration, innovative learning design, and the application of interactive and inclusive digital technologies. Theories such as Civic Engagement, Collaborative Governance, the Technology Acceptance Model, Self-Determination Theory, Social Learning, and Diffusion of Innovations provide relevant conceptual foundations for understanding the dynamics of participation. Case studies such as the Climate Village Program (ProKlim), Digital Waste Bank in Bandung, and Pentingsari Tourism Village in Yogyakarta provide empirical evidence of the successful implementation of these strategies. This research makes an important contribution to the development of participatory-based environmental education, strengthens multi-stakeholder collaboration, and enriches sustainable community service practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) human resource transformation through innovation, digitalization, emotional intelligence, and sustainability in improving community welfare. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach focused on enriching references related to community service. Data were collected from Google Scholar and selected credible websites covering the period 1964–2025. From an initial search of 50 articles, after a rigorous selection process based on relevance, quality, and relation to the theme of community service, 36 articles were analyzed descriptively. The results show that innovation plays a role in creating added value for MSME products and services, digitalization expands market access, emotional intelligence enhances the quality of relationships with customers and partners, while sustainability ensures business continuity through the balance of economic, social, and environmental aspects. This study contributes to the literature by integrating various relevant theories, such as the Resource-Based View, Innovation Theory, Technology Acceptance Model, Emotional Intelligence, and the Triple Bottom Line. The conclusion emphasizes that MSME human resource transformation through these four dimensions provides a tangible contribution to community welfare, thus serving as an important reference for designing community service programs based on MSME development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management strategies of character education based on collaboration among schools, local communities, and stakeholders in strengthening national values and social care. The research background stems from the importance of character education in shaping a generation with integrity, nationalism, and social sensitivity amid the challenges of globalization. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, focusing on descriptive analysis. Data were collected through literature obtained from Google Scholar and credible websites with a publication period between 1979–2025. Out of the initial 50 articles gathered, only 29 articles were selected after a strict screening process based on relevance, quality, and suitability to the research focus. The findings indicate that collaboratively managed character education is more effective in instilling national values and social care compared to strategies that rely solely on the formal school curriculum. Ecological theory, stakeholder theory, and social capital theory strengthen the conceptual framework that character education requires cross-sectoral interaction. Case studies in various regions in Indonesia show that the involvement of local communities, local governments, and the business sector through CSR programs as well as cultural and social activities can enhance the internalization of students’ character values. Thus, this study contributes to the academic discourse on community engagement while serving as a reference for developing collaborative character education models that can be adapted to various educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of human resource (HR) capacity in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through innovation, digitalization, and strategic partnerships as drivers of community economic welfare in tourism villages. The research method employed is a literature review with a qualitative approach, focusing primarily on providing additional references related to community service. Data were collected from scholarly articles published on Google Scholar and credible websites within the timeframe of 1964–2025. Out of 50 articles gathered, a strict selection based on relevance and quality yielded 23 articles that were further analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that innovation drives creativity and product differentiation in tourism village-based MSMEs, digitalization expands market access and improves operational efficiency, while strategic partnerships strengthen networking, knowledge transfer, and access to broader resources. These three factors collectively support the enhancement of MSME HR capacity, directly contributing to income growth, job creation, and collective community welfare in tourism villages. The study contributes theoretically by reinforcing the integration of Human Capital Theory, Diffusion of Innovation Theory, Technology Acceptance Model, Resource-Based View, and Community Development Theory, while also providing practical contributions as additional references for developing community service programs focused on empowering tourism village MSMEs.
