Abstract

Employee performance is a key factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in the public service sector such as hospitals. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, organizational commitment, and compensation on employee performance at Nganjuk Regional Hospital. Effective leadership, high organizational commitment, and a fair compensation system are expected to increase employee motivation and job satisfaction, which will ultimately have a positive impact on their performance. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 262 employees who were selected using the accidental sampling technique. The data was collected by distributing online questionnaires to employees through the whatsapp messaging application with a Google Form link, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. This research discusses the influence of leadership, organizational commitment, and compensation, both simultaneously and partially, on employee performance. The results of the study show that leadership, organizational commitment, and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The significance value obtained is 0.000 < (α=0.05) indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Leadership has the greatest influence, followed by organizational commitment and compensation. These findings support previous theories and research that employee performance is influenced by effective leadership, high organizational commitment, and a fair compensation system. So, the implementation of effective leadership, increasing employee affective organizational commitment, and implementing a fair and transparent performance-based compensation system are considerations for the management of Nganjuk Regional Hospital to improve employee performance and the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Biosimilars offer a more affordable alternative to reference biologic drugs, providing a solution to reduce treatment costs, particularly in cancer therapy. However, their development faces challenges, especially regarding regulatory differences between countries, which delay their global distribution. This article reviews the latest developments in biosimilar development, particularly in cancer treatment. The primary focus is on the regulatory challenges encountered in the development and distribution of biosimilars, as well as their application in cancer therapy, with emphasis on the acceptance challenges faced by healthcare professionals and patients. This literature review examines recent studies on biosimilars, including regulatory approval processes, clinical applications, and the economic impact on cancer treatment. The analysis also compares regulations across countries and highlights the success of biosimilars in replacing reference biologic drugs such as trastuzumab and rituximab. While innovations in advanced statistical methods have been implemented to expedite the approval process, inconsistent regulations across countries remain a significant barrier. Biosimilars have proven effective in replacing more expensive biologic drugs, but challenges in acceptance by the medical community and patients persist. Some countries have begun accepting biosimilars as alternatives, though regulatory gaps and uncertainties about long-term efficacy continue to pose obstacles. The development of biosimilars has the potential to reduce cancer treatment costs, but regulatory challenges and acceptance by healthcare professionals and patients must be addressed. Further research is needed to explore long-term effectiveness and harmonize global regulations to accelerate biosimilar adoption in cancer therapy.

Abstract

One non-communicable disease that plagues the health sector, particularly in hospitals, is hypertension. The goal of treatment for hypertension patients is to improve the quality of life, so patient compliance is needed for those who are undergoing hypertension treatment in order to obtain a better quality of life for patients and avoid complications of the disease. This study was conducted to determine compliance with taking medication with the incidence of hypertension complications. This research method uses descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach to 93 respondents at RSAU Dr. Efram Harsana with purposive sampling using the MMAS questionnaire. The data analysis will be used is the chi-square correlation statistical test. For the results, if the ρ value ≥ 0.05, then H0 is accepted, and if the ρ value ≤ 0.05, then Ha is accepted. For the results, if the ρ value ≥ 0.05, then H0 is accepted, and if the ρ value ≤ 0.05, then Ha is accepted. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents had compliance with taking medication in the moderate category, as many as 50 people (53.8%); high compliance, as many as 26 people (28.0%); and low compliance, as many as 17 people (18.3%). The majority of respondents in this study were female, as many as 57 people (61.3%), and male respondents were as many as 36 people (38.7%). The data were processed and analyzed using the chi-square test with α = 0.05. The results of the study obtained a moderate level of compliance of 53.8% of 93 respondents. Based on statistical tests, it is known that a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that H1 is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between medication compliance and the study of hypertension complications.  From the research above, respondents are expected to be able to understand the importance of being obedient in taking medication so that they can prevent complications from hypertension in the future

Abstract

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that can lead to complications such as peripheral neuropathy, characterized by decreased sensory sensitivity in the feet. One recommended non-pharmacological intervention is diabetic foot exercise using a ball as a medium. This study aims to describe changes in foot sensory sensitivity in patients with type 2 diabetes following diabetic foot exercise therapy using a ball. A descriptive case study approach was employed involving two two elderly participants with diabetic neuropathy. The intervention consisted of six sessions over two weeks, with each session lasting 15–20 minutes. Evaluation was conducted using the 10g monofilament test and in-depth interviews. The results indicated an increase in the number of sensation points detected after the intervention. Subjectively, both patients reported reduced tingling and lighter discomfort in the feet. These findings suggest that diabetic foot exercise using a ball can stimulate peripheral nerves and improve blood circulation. This foot exercise can be performed regularly by individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus to maintain good sensory sensitivity in the feet and ensure optimal nerve function.
