Abstract

Abstract This research discusses the contribution of the Astrology Alumni of UIN Alauddin Makassar in the spread of Astrology in Maros Regency. This research uses a type of qualitative research (field study) by explaining systematically and normatively, as well as accurately regarding the object at the heart of the problem. In answering this problem the author uses a syar'ı approach because it is related to Islamic law in the Al-Quran. Hadith on the rules of Ushul Figh and the opinions of the ulama that are in accordance with these problems. Data collected by making observations. interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that UIN Alauddin Makassar Alumni play an important role in spreading knowledge and understanding about astronomy in Maros Regency. They actively hold outreach activities, training, seminars and discussions to strengthen the public's understanding of astronomy and increase awareness of the importance of practicing astronomy in everyday life. Apart from that, Alumni also act as consultants and advisors to the community in determining the beginning of the month, Qibla direction and prayer times. Their contribution has had a positive impact in increasing public knowledge and awareness about astronomy in Maros Regency. Based on the results of field research related to the contribution of the Astrology Alumni of UIN Alauddin Makassar in the spread of astronomy science in the district. Maros, where the people of the district. Maros still doesn't know what astronomy is, they even say that this science is still relatively new, therefore here are some suggestions from researchers: A). For the local government of Maros Regency or the community in the Regency. Maros is always active in providing outreach and counseling to the public so that they understand the importance of astronomy in everyday life. B). For the people in the district. Maros, who still doesn't understand Falak Science, should invite Ilinu Falak alumni to collaborate with the Ministry of Religion in their respective villages to hold seminars, lectures, workshops or outreach activities either in government institutions or educational institutions. So that you get impulsive community guidance from seniors or astronomy graduates.

Abstract

Abstrak This examination talks about the Joint effort Investigation between the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Organization and the Service of Religion in Deciding the Hilal Point of view of Falak Science in South Sulawesi. The fundamental issue is depicted in a few issue details, in particular: 1) What is the coordinated effort process between the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Organization and Service of Religion in deciding the new moon?, 2) What are the elements that impact the cooperation between the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Office and the Service of Religion in deciding the new moon? also, 3) What is the job of Falak Science innovation in supporting coordinated effort between the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Organization and the Service of Religion? . The examination is named subjective , clear exploration with the exploration approaches utilized being: cosmic methodology, relative methodology, and juridical methodology. The data sources in this examination are essential data sources got from perceptions and meetings, while optional data sources are data acquired from books, diaries, propositions and logical compositions connected with the exploration object. The data assortment techniques utilized in this exploration are interview perception, documentation and writing study. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines how traditional astronomical knowledge is utilized by local communities through the observation of stars and celestial phenomena to determine the appropriate timing for agricultural activities, particularly planting and harvesting seasons. From the perspective of Islamic astronomy (Ilmu Falak), the research focuses on identifying the roles of specific stars and analyzing the contributions of traditional astronomical practices in the Luwu region. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach and analyzes data using interdisciplinary, historical, and comparative methods. The findings reveal that traditional astronomy and the role of certain stars play a significant role in determining planting and harvesting seasons. The people of Luwu have, for generations, relied on the positions of specific stars such as Orion, Sirius, the Pleiades, and Crux as indicators of seasonal changes. This research can be implemented in various fields, particularly in agriculture, education, and cultural preservation in Luwu. In agriculture, traditional astronomical knowledge can be integrated with modern weather technology to determine optimal planting and harvesting times. The Ilmu Falak approach enriches the interpretation of related verses through the analysis of celestial bodies’ orbits and the position of the universe, demonstrating harmony between religious and scientific perspectives. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang peningkatan peran kelembagaan pegawai syara’ di kecamatan Somba Opu, Kabupaten Gowa, sehingga penelitian ini berfokus pada peran pegawai syara’ bidang keagamaan dalam meningkatkan pengabdiannya kepada masyarakat di kecamatan Somba Opu, juga berfokus pada hambatan dan pendukung serta usaha yang dilakukan pegawai syara’ dalam meningkatkan pengabdian kepada masyarakat pula. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui usaha yang dilakukan pegawai syara’ bidang keagamaan dalam menjawab hambatan, dukungan sehingga meningkatkan peran pengabdiannya kepada masyarakat di kecamatan Somba Opu secara khusus dan pada masyarakat pada umumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan metode pendekatan secara ilmiah dan syar’i. Hasil penelitian ditunjukkan melalui profil Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) kecamatan Somba Opu kabupaten Gowa semakin meningkat dan ideal dalam pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Hal tersebut terekam pada data-data yang menunjukkan peningkatan peran kelembagaan pegawai KUA kecamatan Somba Opu kabupaten Gowa yang mengantarkan sebagai KUA Teladan pada tingkat kabupaten/kota hingga Nasional adalah sebagai upaya strategi untuk memotivasi dan memberi semangat bagi jajaran KUA lainnya untuk berkopetensi menjadi yang terbaik dalam pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Diharapkan peran pegawai kelembagaan KUA kecamatan Somba Opu yang kualitas pelayanannya sudah memenuhi standar perlu sosialisasi secara langsung tentang bidang-bidang pelayanan yang ada di Kantor Urusan Agama sehingga lebih dikenal luas ke pelosok pedesaan.

Abstract

Abstract The importance of holding prayers according to predetermined times, and detailing how prayer times are arranged based on the guidelines of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet, determining prayer times based on geographical factors, especially latitude and longitude, is a major concern, considering the impact on the implementation of worship. The type of research used is field research with a syar'i and astronomy research approach. Equipped with primary and secondary data. Processing and analysis of data through the process of data reduction, data editing and data transformation. The research results obtained, among others, are that there are several bases used in determining the initial time for the dawn prayer for mosques in the Kalaena District which causes a difference in the start time for the dawn prayer. The latitude and longitude of the place have an effect of 0.42 seconds to 7.52 seconds on determining the initial time for the morning prayers for mosques in the Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency. The causes of the difference in the early dawn prayer time of the mosques in the Kalaena District include differences in the references used by the mosques in the Kalaena District, Muadzin, Ihtiyath and the digital clock used. It is hoped that this research can answer questions that arise in the community about the early morning prayer time.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines Muhammadiyah's view on determining the beginning of the Hijri month in the context of the phenomenon of the crescent moon appearing astronomically during the day. The main focus of this study is directed at the concept of determining the beginning of the Hijri month according to Muhammadiyah's view on the existence of the crescent moon during the day and astronomical analysis of the phenomenon of the appearance of the crescent moon before sunset. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature study and interview methods as data collection techniques. Data are analyzed descriptively-analystically with a normative-astronomical approach. The results of the study show that Muhammadiyah holds the principle that the beginning of the Hijri month is determined based on the existence of the crescent moon above the horizon at sunset, not merely its astronomical existence during the day. From the perspective of Islamic astronomy, the phenomenon of the crescent moon during the day can be explained scientifically as a post-conjunction phase, but does not yet meet the sharia requirements for determining the beginning of the month. The implications of the study show the importance of integration between science and sharia in the renewal of astronomical thinking and the need for constructive dialogue between the hisab and rukyat methods in order to achieve the unity of the Islamic calendar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Determining the direction of the Qibla is an important aspect in the implementation of Islamic worship, both in prayer and in burial. Mistakes in determining the direction of the Qibla, especially in burials, can affect the solemnity and validity of worship procedures. In Gowa Regency, there are still a number of graves that do not face the Qibla correctly. This study aims to examine the factors causing the wrong direction of the Qibla of graves and to analyze the role of the Ministry of Religion of Gowa Regency in dealing with this problem. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach, which is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. In addition, a sharia approach is used because it is related to Islamic law, as well as a falaky approach based on Islamic astronomy. The results of the study indicate that the wrong direction of the Qibla of graves is caused by limited measuring instruments, lack of public understanding of the importance of the correct direction of the Qibla, and geographical conditions that make measurement difficult. The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Gowa Regency has taken strategic steps such as socialization, re-measurement using the falakiyah method, and the use of modern technology to determine the direction of the qibla accurately. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of increasing public awareness of the direction of the qibla and the need for active involvement of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in standardizing the direction of the qibla in cemeteries. These efforts can be strengthened through ongoing counseling and the application of measuring instruments based on falakiyah technology
