Abstract

This study analyzes the development of chatbot research in digital education during the 2020–2025 period using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach on 100 publications, consisting of 40 national papers and 60 international papers. The results indicate a significant increase in the number of studies in 2023–2024, coinciding with the widespread adoption of Generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Bard. National studies predominantly focus on the development of AI chatbots and tutor chatbots for interactive learning, whereas international studies demonstrate greater diversity by exploring administrative chatbots, gamified chatbots, and Large Language Model based chatbots. Overall, chatbots have been shown to enhance learning motivation, the effectiveness of online learning, academic administrative efficiency, and the development of 21st-century skills. However, challenges remain, including ethical issues, response accuracy, academic integrity, and educators’ readiness to adopt these technologies. The synthesis of findings across studies further reveals that the successful implementation of chatbots is influenced by technological, pedagogical, interaction design, and social dynamics factors. Therefore, this study recommends the development of chatbots based on human-centered AI, the enhancement of digital literacy, and the expansion of research into underexplored domains to support the effective, ethical, and sustainable implementation of chatbots within the digital education ecosystem.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology requires educational institutions to adopt structured and integrated information systems. SMP Ibrahimy 3 Sukorejo, a pesantren-based junior high school, still relies on many manual operational processes. This study aims to design an enterprise architecture using the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) to identify the school’s information system requirements. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and then analyzed according to the ADM phases. The results indicate the need for system integration in student admission, attendance, grade processing, and financial administration, supported by a centralized database and improved network infrastructure. The resulting enterprise architecture blueprint serves as a strategic reference for information system development and for enhancing the quality of educational services in pesantren-based schools.

Abstract

Research on Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms in chatbot development has increased significantly, driven by the demand for intelligent human-like conversational interactions. This study aims to map NLP algorithm trends, application domains, and future research directions. The method employed is a systematic literature review of 103 publications published between 2020 and 2025, involving systematic selection processes from duplicate filtering to in-depth evaluation of research methods and results. The analysis shows a dominance of Transformer architectures, such as BERT, ELECTRA, and IndoBERT. Nonetheless, traditional algorithms like LSTM, Naive Bayes, and SVM are still utilized for lightweight computation or comparative purposes. In terms of application domains, most research is concentrated in General, Health, and Education sectors, while Law, Banking, and Human Resources remain under-explored. The findings also indicate a gap between technical development and production-scale implementation, along with a lack of focus on ethics and data protection. In conclusion, future research should focus on chatbot personalization, exploration of new domains, integration of ethical aspects, and the implementation of explainable AI (XAI) to enhance transparency and public trust.

Abstract

This study aims to apply data mining to identify customer purchasing patterns and generate menu package recommendations based on sales transaction data from Jala Seafood. The CRISP-DM methodology is employed, consisting of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The Apriori algorithm is applied using a minimum support of 6% and a minimum confidence of 60% to extract relevant association patterns. The findings identify 11 valid association rules, with the highest lift ratio of 3.6823 for the combination {Kangkung Ongseng, Kerapu Saos Padang, Nasi Putih} → {Es Teh Manis}. These results demonstrate that the Apriori algorithm effectively uncovers hidden purchasing patterns within the sales data. Furthermore, the developed dashboard facilitates visualization of the association patterns and assists the restaurant in designing sustainable and data-driven menu packages. This approach is expected to support increased sales value and provide menu recommendations aligned with customer preferences

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology requires companies to manage data and business processes effectively, including employee compensation management. PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, as a state-owned enterprise with a large number of employees, requires an information system that can support accurate, efficient, and transparent overtime and incentive calculations. The background of this study is the existence of semi-manual processes in the recapitulation and verification of overtime and incentive data, which may lead to errors and delays in payment. The methods used in this internship study include observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review, as well as system analysis using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The results of the discussion indicate that an integrated overtime and incentive calculation information system, connected with attendance, personnel, and financial systems, is able to improve process efficiency, calculation accuracy, and support transparency in employee compensation. However, further system development is still needed to reduce manual processes and enhance real-time information access for employees.

Abstract

The growing reliance on information technology in educational management has encouraged institutions to reorganize academic services in a more structured, accurate, and integrated manner. SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo faces similar challenges, as most academic processes are still carried out partially and are not supported by a standardized information system. This condition leads to data duplication, inefficient workflows, and delays in providing information to stakeholders. This study aims to design an enterprise architecture for the Academic Information System (AIS) that serves as a structured and sustainable guideline for academic system development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using the TOGAF framework through the stages of the Architecture Development Method (ADM). Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis within SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo. The results indicate that the proposed architecture successfully maps academic business processes comprehensively, identifies data and application requirements, and formulates a technology architecture aligned with the school’s operational needs. The resulting architectural blueprint is expected to provide a foundation for developing an integrated and adaptive Academic Information System that supports the enhancement of educational service quality at SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology requires educational institutions to implement academic management systems that are structured, integrated, and aligned with organizational needs. The Language Dormitory of Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo, as a non-formal educational institution, continues to face challenges in academic management, which is predominantly conducted manually, leading to inefficiencies, data duplication, and delays in information delivery. This study aims to design an enterprise architecture for the academic information system at the Language Dormitory using the TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework). The research methodology includes a literature review, field observations, and interviews with relevant stakeholders, which are subsequently analyzed through the TOGAF ADM phases. The results produce an enterprise architecture design encompassing business architecture, application architecture, and data architecture tailored to the academic processes of the language dormitory. The proposed architecture recommends the development of an integrated academic information system to support student registration, learning activities, academic evaluation, and reporting processes. This enterprise architecture design is expected to serve as a strategic guideline for sustainable academic information system development and to enhance the effectiveness and quality of academic services at the Language Dormitory.

Abstract

The implementation of digital technology in academic activities has become an urgent necessity for educational institutions to improve service quality, enhance information management efficiency, and support accurate decision-making. SMA Ibrahimy 2 Sukorejo faces challenges in the form of fragmented processes, the use of non-integrated applications, and limited infrastructure and data management. This research aims to develop an enterprise architecture blueprint for an integrated Academic Information System using the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM). The research method employed is qualitative–design oriented, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and validation through discussions with relevant stakeholders within the school. The design stages follow the ADM framework, including the development of the Architecture Vision, Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, and Technology Architecture, complemented by gap analysis and the formulation of an implementation roadmap. The results indicate that the current academic processes lack adequate integration of data and applications, highlighting the need for an architectural framework to serve as a foundation for digital transformation at the school. The resulting architecture blueprint includes business capability mapping, key academic process flows, a list of integrated applications, a conceptual data model, and a hybrid cloud-based technology infrastructure design. The gap analysis identifies major deficiencies in workflow, information management, and infrastructure, while the implementation roadmap is structured into five stages, ranging from system foundation development to core module implementation, integration, and advanced analytics. Through this blueprint, the school gains strategic and technical guidance for developing a structured, standards-compliant, and sustainable Academic Information System. This architecture blueprint is expected to support improvements in operational efficiency, information transparency, and the quality of educational services, as well as serve as a reference for future research and architectural design in similar educational institutions.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly through the emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs), has significantly accelerated the advancement of multilingual chatbots capable of understanding and generating multiple languages in a more natural manner. In the context of globalization and linguistic diversity, this technology plays a crucial role in improving access to information and services across sectors such as education, healthcare, governance, and social communication. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on a Grounded Theory Literature Review approach, analyzing 100 articles published between 2018 and 2025 to map research developments, methodological trends, and application focuses in multilingual chatbot research. The analysis follows the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding to identify recurring patterns and core themes in prior studies. The findings reveal a substantial surge in research after 2023, coinciding with increased accessibility to chatbot development enabled by LLMs. This shift has redirected research emphasis from technical engineering toward implementation, evaluation, and user experience. System development methods (62%) and experimental approaches (26%) emerge as the most dominant methodologies, while the most frequently explored domains include education, healthcare, and public services. Multilingual chatbots represent the most extensively studied type, reflecting a transition toward a multilingual-by-default standard. Nevertheless, challenges such as English language bias, underrepresentation of minority languages, and limited cultural sensitivity remain central issues. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening the quality of multilingual corpora and adopting more socio-culturally responsive approaches to develop inclusive and linguistically equitable chatbot systems.

Abstract

Madrasah Ta’hiliyah Putri, as a faith-based educational institution, requires a structured and integrated management of academic and administrative processes to support the effectiveness of educational services. However, the existing information systems are still partial and not fully aligned with the organizational needs. This study aims to design an enterprise architecture for Madrasah Ta’hiliyah Putri using The Open Group Architecture Framework Architecture Development Method (TOGAF ADM). The research method follows several phases: preliminary, architecture vision, business architecture, information system architecture, technology architecture, and opportunities and solutions. The results of this study produce an enterprise architecture design encompassing business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, and technology architecture aligned with the vision and mission of Madrasah Ta’hiliyah Putri. This design is expected to serve as a guideline for developing an integrated information system, enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative management, and supporting more precise and sustainable management decision-making.
