Abstract

The community tends to try to overcome health problems through easier and more cost-efficient methods. This triggers the tendency of the community to self-medicate. Self-medication is the use of drugs by individuals, not based on a doctor's prescription, but based on the individual's initiative. This community service aims to increase awareness of using drugs through Smart Community Movement Using Drugs (SCMUD) in the Bulakdawung community, Parang village, Banyakan district, Kediri regency. The activity was carried out on May 17, 2024, by providing Health Counseling to mothers who accompany their children to study groups, with lecture and question and answer methods, the media used was the leaflet of awareness of using drugs. The results of the activity were 21 mothers with most elementary school education backgrounds (80.95%), work as housewives (95.23%), less knowledge about awareness of using drugs (71.42%), good attitudes awareness of using drugs (66.67%) and drug use behavior in the family (80.9%) and those lacking 19.1%. After being given health education regarding the safe use of drugs through the Smart Community Movement Using Drugs, the community increasingly understands and carries out awareness to avoid the negative impacts of self-medication and provide appropriate treatment for family members who are sick and utilize health service centers appropriately. It was concluded that the activity can increase public awareness in the use of drugs through health counseling.

Abstract

The development of the service industry currently plays an important role in contributing to the country's economy. One type of service company is a goods delivery service company. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality on repurchase intention through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable at BCE Express Green Lake City. This research used a quantitative approach by using probability sampling and a simple random sampling technique, which was processed through path analysis. Samples in this study amounted to 100 respondents. The results achieved in this study are that service quality has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, service quality has a significant positive effect on repurchase intention, and customer satisfaction has a significant positive effect on repurchase intention. Another finding is that service quality has a significant positive effect on repurchase intention through the mediation of customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence e-wallet adoption, including perceived usefulness, trust, perceived ease of use, and social influence. The research method is a quantitative method with data collection through a 1–5-point Likert scale questionnaire. The population of the study was Gen Z living in South Tangerang. The sampling technique was carried out using nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling type. Respondent data in the study were obtained from 130 people and analyzed using multiple linear regression through the SPSS application. The results showed that perceived usefulness, trust, perceived ease of use, and social influence had a significant influence on e-wallet adoption. Social influence is the factor with the greatest influence on e-wallet adoption.

Abstract

The Integrated Primary Care Integration Posyandu (ILP) activity is a health service activity that aims to strengthen health services in village community areas. This activity is carried out in the form of screening for non-communicable diseases. ILP Posyandu is held once a month and on average is managed by 5-6 cadres. Activities carried out include screening for non-communicable diseases such as checking blood pressure, checking abdominal circumference, checking blood sugar, health education and providing additional food to PMT Toddlers, Teenagers and PMT Elderly. The recording and data collection process is still carried out manually using a ledger which is then recapitulated and becomes a database for reporting ILP Posyandu activities to the relevant units. This activity was carried out by posyandu cadres in managing Karangrejo Village ILP Posyandu Information System data management. Governance of the implementation of recording and reporting of ILP Posyandu data in Karangrejo Village, management of administrative data and health examination results at ILP Posyandu services in Karangrejo Village, Ngasem District, Kediri Regency.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, English language proficiency is a critical requirement, particularly for individuals who aspire to enhance their competitiveness in the job market or education sector. Nevertheless, numerous individuals continue to encounter challenges in obtaining the necessary resources to effectively acquire the English language. The objective of this community service activity is to enhance multimedia-based English skills by providing innovative, interactive, and intensive training. This program is intended to establish an engaging and accessible learning environment by incorporating multimedia technology, including interactive videos, computer-based simulations, and learning applications. An introduction to multimedia tools, ongoing mentoring, and direct training sessions comprise the implementation method. The activity is intended for the general public, which includes students, laborers, and housewives, who require assistance in enhancing their English communication abilities. The improvement of participants' abilities is assessed through initial and concluding tests. As well as participants' motivation to learn, the outcomes of the activity demonstrated substantial enhancements in their English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. Consequently, this program significantly enhances the English language proficiency of the community by employing a multimedia-based methodology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of digital payments through Shopee PayLater on the consumer behavior towards Surabaya society. The research method used a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Surabaya society who use the Shopee PayLater service. Data analysis was carried out using statistical tests to determine the influence of the independent variable (use of Shopee PayLater) towards the dependent variable (consumer behavior). The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence between the use of Shopee PayLater on the consumer behavior of Surabaya society. The more often people use Shopee PayLater, the higher the level of consumer behavior shown. This is due to the ease of access and various promotions offered by Shopee PayLater, which encourage people to make purchases without careful consideration.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease that causes complications of deadly diseases. Hypertension in the elderly is associated with the aging process that occurs in the body. Hypertension management is carried out pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Non-pharmacological management with lifestyle modification, diet, exercise and stress management. Hypertension management information can be through continuous health education with an approach to individuals in accordance with theory of Health Belief Model that health coaching can change behavior and improve the quality of elderly life. The objective was to determine the influence of health coaching towards reducing blood pressure to elderly in accordance with theory of Health Belief Model. Research method used a quasi-experimental pre and posttest without control group. The study was conducted in conjunction with the Selantang Bersinar learning process activities in Ngronggo Village from May to November 2023 with 25 elderly respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Health education was carried out through an approach to elderly individuals directly. The result of the normality test was normal, the statistical test used Paired sample t-test. The results of univariate analysis showed that the average difference in pretest and posttest systolic blood pressure was 16.36 and the difference in pretest and posttest diastolic blood pressure was 6.8. Using Paired sample t-test, the results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was an influence of health coaching based on theory of Health Belief Model towards systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure with p value of 0.00. In conclusion, there was an influence of health coaching based on theory of Health Belief Model towards reducing blood pressure in Selantang Bersinar, Ngronggo Village. Furthermore, the elderly who have received health coaching can implement healthy lifestyle, hypertension management for the purpose of managing hypertension cases in the community and can transmit good knowledge to families and community to improve health of Indonesian people.

Abstract

This study explores the use of English comics as a tool to enhance story retelling skills among Islamic university students. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data to assess the effectiveness of comics in improving students' language proficiency. Sixty undergraduate students from an Islamic university participated in the study, with 30 students in the experimental group using English comics and 30 students in the control group following traditional text-based methods. Results revealed that the experimental group exhibited a significant improvement in their story retelling skills, as measured by pre-test and post-test assessments. The use of comics fostered higher engagement, creativity, and motivation, with students reporting that the visual and textual elements of comics facilitated better comprehension and narrative recall. Observations and interviews further highlighted the positive impact of comics on students' participation and their ability to construct coherent, creative retellings. This study underscores the cognitive and affective benefits of comics as a multimodal learning tool, providing valuable insights for educators seeking innovative methods to enhance language learning. The findings suggest that integrating comics into language curricula can significantly improve language skills, particularly in the areas of storytelling and narrative construction, while offering an engaging and culturally relevant learning experience. Future research is encouraged to explore the long-term effects and broader applications of comics in language education.

Abstract

This study is aimed at implementing PBL to improve the students’ writing ability. It was conducted by using classroom action research which has two cycles. Each cycle has 4 steps including planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The instrument used in this research was qualitative and quantitative instrument. Qualitative instruments that she used is observation check list and field notes. The quantitative data was gotten from the students’ score of posttests from cycle 1 and cycle 2. The questionnaire was used in this research as a preliminary study. The subject of the research was the students of tenth grade SMA Wahidiyah Kediri which consist of 29 students. Based on writing test scores, in the pre-liminary study, there were only 4 % of the students who passed the minimum standard score. After that, the score of the students who passed the test in cycle 1 was 13% and 78% of the students passed the test in cycle 2.  Based on the observation sheet and field notes, it was found that the learning process of writing runs well. The students could follow the step of PBL orderly begin from (1) clarifying and agreeing on terms and concepts that are unclear¸ (2) formulating the problem, (3) analyzing the problem, (4) formulating hypothesis, (5) collecting data, (6) evaluating the hypothesis, (7) formulating the recommendation of problem solving. The result of the research shows that PBL method can improve the students writing ability and it is supported by using pictures and outline.

Abstract

This study was determining the effect price promotion and service quality customer satisfaction online motorcycle taxi services. Population of this study people of Bengkulu city who Maxim application. The number samples obtained 120 respondents using 16 formulas. data analysis method used multiple linear regression. The results study shows that (1) Price no significant effect on Online Motorcycle taxi services Maxim Bengkulu City, (2) Promotion has significant effect on Online Motorcycle taxi services Maxim Bengkulu City, (3) Quality not significantly affect Online Motorcycle taxi services Maxim Bengkulu City, (4) Customer satisfaction no significant effect on online taxi services Maxim Bengkulu City.
