Abstract

The crime of domestic violence (KDRT) is a complex and multifaceted crime. The problem of domestic violence itself is actually a problem that often occurs in married life, but some people do not consider what they experience as a wrong act in the eyes of the law. Therefore, the public needs to be given an understanding of domestic violence, so that if domestic violence occurs or experiences, the victim can take legal steps. This outreach activity in the community is motivated by phenomena that occur in the community. The method used is a participatory method which is expected to play an active role in legal education activities in the form of; (1) Socialization in legal education regarding Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning Domestic Violence; (2) Question and answer session about domestic violence.

Abstract

Adolescent health is crucial for developing a productive future generation, with sleep quality being a key component. Many adolescents struggle with sleep issues due to academic pressure, excessive gadget use, and poor habits. This community service project aimed to improve sleep hygiene awareness among students at MTS Ma'arif 2 Ajibarang through leaflet distribution. On April 30, 2024, 150 sleep hygiene leaflets were distributed to students. Feedback was gathered from students and teachers to evaluate engagement and understanding. The leaflets were well-received. The leaflet distribution effectively raised awareness about sleep hygiene among adolescents. Future studies should assess the long-term impact of such interventions on sleep behaviors and health outcomes.

Abstract

The issue of how the efforts to preserve the Wehor water resources carried out by indigenous peoples face environmental changes, as well as their challenges. The purpose of this study is to discuss the challenges of indigenous peoples in managing water resources. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate the need for synergy and integration between regions, between sectors, between generations to anticipate the challenges of environmental change wisely and measurably.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Seberuang Dayak language in teaching the English language. The focus is on how this local language can be used as a tool in improving students' understanding and English language skills. The methodology used includes interviews, classroom observations, and qualitative data analysis. The study results show that the use of the Dayak Seberuang language in English teaching helps students understand concepts better, reduces anxiety, and increases learning motivation. These findings suggest that the integration of local languages English curriculum can enrich the learning experience and support the achievement of better outcomes for students. This research provides new insights into the multilingual approach to language education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of digital marketing and discount towards purchasing decisions at Ivy Carissa fashion store. The primary sample data was taken from Ivy Carissa customers. The questionnaire contains 13 items of questions. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative method and using multiple linear regression. The results showed that digital marketing effect significantly on purchasing decisions. The same goes to discount that effect significantly on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously variables of digital marketing and discount effects on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of service quality and employee performance towards customers' decisions in using lending services at the Manado Pawnshop Office. This research is important considering the strategic role of Pawnshop as a financial institution that provides collateral-based lending services. Data was collected through a survey of 150 customers who used lending services at the Manado Pawnshop Office. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis to measure the influence of service quality and employee performance on customer decisions. The research results show that service quality has a significant positive influence on customer decisions. This indicates that aspects such as reliability, responsiveness and good service guarantees increase customer satisfaction and encourage them to use lending services. Apart from that, employee performance has also been proven to have a significant positive influence on customer decisions. The performance of employees who are professional, responsive and knowledgeable about Pawnshop products is a determining factor in customer decision making. The conclusion of this research is that both service quality and employee performance are key factors that influence customers' decisions in using lending services at the Manado Pawnshop Office. The practical implication of these findings is that Pawnshop needs to continue to improve service quality and employee performance to maintain and increase customer trust. It is hoped that this research can contribute to literature related to service management and human resource development in the financial sector.

Abstract

Determining a brand of product that consumers will choose is one of the influences towards consumer purchasing decisions in choosing that product. This research aims to determine the influence of brand image and price on the decision to purchase a Toyota car at PT. Liek Motor Indrapura Surabaya. The type of research used is quantitative research carried out by filling out questionnaires by consumers. The research results show that partially brand image and price have a positive effect on consumer purchasing decisions for Toyota cars at PT. Liek Motor Indrapura Surabaya. The better the brand image, the higher the consumer's purchasing decisions and vice versa. This means that the higher the car unit price, the lower the consumer purchasing decision and vice versa.

Abstract

Reading parks play an important role in increasing children's interest in reading. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of reading park management in Bogor Regency, using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model qualitatively. The instruments used include document studies, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and focus group discussions. Data analysis is an interactive analysis that is presented in its entirety. The results of the study describe that the evaluation of the context component is classified as good with a score of 4.03, the input component is sufficient - 3.29, the process component is sufficient - 3.40, and the product component is sufficient - 3.55. It is concluded that the evaluation of the management of reading parks in Bogor Regency is classified as "quite effective", with an average score of 3.56. There are three challenges faced by reading parks, namely 1) minimal government attention, 2) low public awareness, and 3) a small collection of books. The management of reading parks must ensure that there are readers, books, and commitment from the managers. So that reading parks can increase children's interest in reading, in addition to being a catalyst for improving the quality of human resources to boost Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI).

Abstract

English speaking proficiency has become prominent for Midwifery Students to prepare them in the global competition of the health field. Unfortunately, they have complex problems in learning and practicing speaking, such as a lack of motivation, confidence, and vocabulary, being afraid of making mistakes, and difficult pronunciation. Mentoring strategy comes as one of the best solutions for their problems. This study aimed to explore Midwifery students’ point of view towards a mentoring strategy to help them enhancing speaking skills. A survey research with mixed methods design was employed in this research by administering a questionnaire and interview. The result indicated that the respondents had a strong attitude and positive perspective towards the mentoring program. In conclusion, it is one of the best alternative ways to be applied in the classroom and equip the students with English competency, particularly the speaking skills.

Abstract

An elderly person is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and above, both men and women. Naturally, elderly people experience the aging process, which is characterized by a decrease in physical and psychological abilities, and an increased risk of disease or health problems that lead to death. This means that the health problem that is often found in the elderly and is multipathological is the emergency geriatric syndrome. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) screening results show the nutritional status, functional status, social status, cognitive status and mental status of the elderly. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) is used by health workers to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the elderly from biological, cognitive, psychological and social aspects to determine problems and plan management for the elderly.
