Al-Abshor: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is a peer-reviewed journal published by Yayasan Pesantren Al-Qur’an Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi, located at Jl. Dusun Kamal, RT.65/RW.29, Kamal, Karangsari, Kec. Pengasih, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta 55674. This journal aims to disseminate research results from academics, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Islamic Studies, both in theory and practice. Specifically, this journal invites papers discussing topics such as Islamic Education, Islamic thought, learning in Islamic education, students in Islamic education, Islamic education methods, Islamic teacher education, and Islamic education policies. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of Islamic-based character education policies in shaping a generation with moral character amidst a moral crisis. Using qualitative literature study methods, this study examines government policies, journals, books, and trusted media reports through a documentation approach and systematic searches on Google Scholar, Garuda, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs portal. Data are analyzed thematically with a focus on the concept of character education, policy implementation, and implementation challenges. The results show that although the government has launched programs such as the Character Education Strengthening Movement (PPK) and religious moderation, their implementation is still hampered by a lack of policy integration between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, minimal coordination, and overlapping training and evaluation. Furthermore, the role of teachers as agents of change is suboptimal due to the dominance of theoretical learning methods and a lack of training in contextual approaches. The implementation of character education is often ceremonial, without an integrated moral evaluation system. In conclusion, the effectiveness of Islamic-based character education requires synergistic policy integration, strengthening teacher competencies, and a holistic approach that addresses the affective and psychomotor dimensions. Thus, character education can transform from merely an administrative activity into a real and sustainable moral formation process. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi kebijakan pendidikan karakter berbasis Islam dalam membentuk generasi berakhlak di tengah krisis moral. Menggunakan metode studi literatur kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji kebijakan pemerintah, jurnal, buku, dan laporan media terpercaya melalui pendekatan dokumentasi dan pencarian sistematis di Google Scholar, Garuda, dan portal Kemenag. Data dianalisis secara tematik dengan fokus pada konsep pendidikan karakter, implementasi kebijakan, dan tantangan pelaksanaan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pemerintah telah meluncurkan program seperti Gerakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) dan moderasi beragama, implementasinya masih terkendala oleh ketidakpaduan kebijakan antara Kemendikbudristek dan Kemenag, minimnya koordinasi, serta tumpang tindih dalam pelatihan dan evaluasi. Selain itu, peran guru sebagai agen perubahan belum optimal karena dominasi metode pembelajaran yang teoritis dan kurangnya pelatihan dalam pendekatan kontekstual. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter pun kerap bersifat seremonial, tanpa sistem evaluasi akhlak yang terintegrasi. Kesimpulannya, efektivitas pendidikan karakter berbasis Islam memerlukan integrasi kebijakan yang sinergis, penguatan kompetensi guru, serta pendekatan holistik yang menyentuh dimensi afektif dan psikomotorik. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter dapat bertransformasi dari sekadar kegiatan administratif menjadi proses pembentukan moral yang nyata dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Reconstructionism in Islamic education presents itself as an approach that emphasizes the importance of reforming the education system to be more adaptive to changing times, without neglecting religious values. The challenges of globalization, technological developments, and shifting social values ​​require Islamic education to transform itself to produce a critical, religious, and highly competitive generation. This study aims to examine the potential of reconstructionism as a foundation for building Islamic education that is responsive to contemporary dynamics. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on literature, data were analyzed through a literature review of various educational theories, the views of Islamic figures, and the realities of modern society. The results of the study indicate that reconstructionism is oriented towards developing critical thinking, upholding social justice, and ecological awareness integrated with Islamic spiritual values. Education is no longer seen merely as the transfer of knowledge, but also as a process of character formation and social awareness. To achieve this, several strategic steps are needed: first, ongoing training for educators to be able to apply the principles of reconstructionism; second, the development of an innovative curriculum that integrates technology and active learning methods; and third, full support from the government through policies, funding, and the provision of resources. With these steps, Islamic education has the potential to produce a generation that excels not only intellectually but also possesses strong social and moral sensitivity. This generation is expected to be agents of change, playing a role in responding to the challenges of the times while upholding Islamic values. Abstrak Rekonstruksionisme dalam pendidikan Islam hadir sebagai sebuah pendekatan yang menekankan pentingnya pembaruan sistem pendidikan agar lebih adaptif terhadap perubahan zaman, tanpa mengabaikan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Tantangan globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, serta pergeseran nilai sosial menuntut pendidikan Islam untuk bertransformasi sehingga mampu melahirkan generasi yang kritis, religius, dan berdaya saing tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi rekonstruksionisme sebagai landasan dalam membangun pendidikan Islam yang responsif terhadap dinamika kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan, data dianalisis melalui kajian literatur terhadap berbagai teori pendidikan, pandangan tokoh Islam, serta realitas kebutuhan masyarakat modern. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa rekonstruksionisme berorientasi pada pengembangan pemikiran kritis, penegakan keadilan sosial, dan kesadaran ekologis yang terintegrasi dengan nilai spiritual Islam. Pendidikan tidak lagi dipandang sebatas transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga proses pembentukan karakter dan kesadaran sosial. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, dibutuhkan beberapa langkah strategis: pertama, pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi pendidik agar mampu menerapkan prinsip rekonstruksionisme; kedua, pengembangan kurikulum inovatif yang mengintegrasikan teknologi serta metode pembelajaran aktif; ketiga, dukungan penuh dari pemerintah melalui kebijakan, pendanaan, dan penyediaan sumber daya. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, pendidikan Islam berpotensi melahirkan generasi yang tidak hanya unggul dalam aspek intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki kepekaan sosial dan moral yang kuat. Generasi ini diharapkan mampu menjadi agen perubahan yang berperan dalam menjawab tantangan zaman sekaligus menjaga nilai-nilai keislaman.

Abstract

Abstract SMAN Kerjo is a high school that plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and academic abilities through education based on Pancasila values. This school is not only oriented towards academic achievement but also has a vision to produce a generation with high integrity, both morally and socially. Pancasila values ​​serve as the primary foundation for all educational activities, so that students are guided to become intelligent individuals with noble character and able to contribute positively to society. One of the challenges SMAN Kerjo faces is the diversity of student backgrounds. Differences in family, social, and cultural environments significantly influence their reading interest and literacy skills. A strong reading interest is closely related to students' ability to understand, analyze, and internalize the values ​​taught, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Therefore, further exploration is needed to determine how the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) can synergize with students' reading interest to improve their literacy skills. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of P5 positively contributes to the development of critical, collaborative, and caring attitudes in students. Meanwhile, a high level of reading interest has been shown to strengthen literacy skills, particularly in understanding religious texts and the Islamic values ​​contained in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Thus, the synergy between the implementation of P5 and increased reading interest can produce students who not only excel academically but also possess in-depth religious literacy and character traits consistent with the values ​​of Pancasila. Abstrak SMAN Kerjo merupakan salah satu sekolah menengah atas yang berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kemampuan akademik siswa melalui pendidikan yang berbasis pada nilai-nilai Pancasila. Sekolah ini tidak hanya berorientasi pada pencapaian akademis, tetapi juga memiliki visi untuk mencetak generasi yang berintegritas tinggi, baik secara moral maupun sosial. Nilai-nilai Pancasila dijadikan landasan utama dalam seluruh aktivitas pendidikan, sehingga siswa diarahkan untuk menjadi pribadi yang cerdas, berakhlak mulia, dan mampu berkontribusi positif bagi masyarakat. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi SMAN Kerjo adalah keragaman latar belakang siswa. Perbedaan lingkungan keluarga, sosial, dan budaya membawa pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat baca serta kemampuan literasi mereka. Padahal, minat baca yang baik sangat erat kaitannya dengan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami, menganalisis, dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai yang diajarkan, termasuk dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut mengenai bagaimana penerapan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dapat bersinergi dengan minat baca siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan P5 memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan sikap kritis, kolaboratif, dan peduli pada siswa. Sementara itu, tingkat minat baca yang tinggi terbukti mampu memperkuat kemampuan literasi, khususnya dalam memahami teks-teks keagamaan dan nilai-nilai Islam yang terkandung dalam PAI. Dengan demikian, sinergi antara penerapan P5 dan peningkatan minat baca mampu menciptakan siswa yang tidak hanya unggul secara akademis, tetapi juga memiliki literasi keagamaan yang mendalam serta karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the instillation of Islamic Nusantara values ​​at SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan as part of an effort to shape a generation that excels academically, professionally, and possesses religious character and Indonesian culture. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, and documentation of school activities. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the instillation of Islamic Nusantara values ​​at SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan is implemented through targeted educational strategies, the instillation of religious attitudes, the integration of Islamic and national values ​​into the curriculum, and teacher role models in daily school life. Values ​​such as tolerance, peace, courtesy, mutual cooperation, and nationalism are implemented not only in teaching and learning activities but also in school culture, extracurricular activities, and social interactions. This process is capable of producing students who are not only competent in vocational skills but also possess integrity, spirituality, and a strong sense of national awareness. This study concludes that vocational education is not solely oriented towards the industrial world and practical skills, but can also coexist with values ​​education. Integrating the two produces graduates who are superior, professional, and religious, capable of contributing positively to maintaining social harmony and strengthening national identity. Thus, SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan is an ideal model of values-based vocational education that prepares the younger generation to face global challenges without losing sight of their cultural, religious, and national roots. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis penanaman nilai-nilai Islam Nusantara di SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan sebagai bagian dari upaya membentuk generasi yang unggul secara akademik, profesional dalam keterampilan, serta berkarakter religius dan berbudaya Nusantara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik, serta dokumentasi kegiatan sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai Islam Nusantara di SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan dilaksanakan melalui strategi pendidikan yang terarah, pembiasaan sikap religius, integrasi nilai keislaman dan kebangsaan dalam kurikulum, serta keteladanan guru dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di sekolah. Nilai-nilai seperti toleransi, cinta damai, sopan santun, gotong royong, dan nasionalisme diterapkan tidak hanya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, tetapi juga dalam budaya sekolah, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan interaksi sosial. Proses ini mampu membentuk peserta didik yang tidak hanya kompeten dalam keterampilan kejuruan, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, spiritualitas, dan kesadaran kebangsaan yang kuat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan kejuruan tidak hanya berorientasi pada dunia industri dan keterampilan praktis, tetapi dapat berjalan beriringan dengan pendidikan nilai. Integrasi antara keduanya menghasilkan lulusan yang unggul, profesional, religius, serta mampu berkontribusi positif dalam menjaga harmoni sosial dan memperkuat identitas bangsa. Dengan demikian, SMK PGRI Pandaan Pasuruan menjadi model ideal pendidikan kejuruan berbasis nilai yang menyiapkan generasi muda siap menghadapi tantangan global tanpa kehilangan akar budaya, agama, dan kebangsaan.

Abstract

This study highlights the leadership style of the principal at SD Islam Al Azhar 71 Pangkalpinang and its impact on teacher performance and student achievement. The results revealed that transformational leadership was the most dominant and effective approach in improving the quality of education at the school. Transformational leadership is reflected in the charisma, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention provided by the principal to teachers and students. Through this approach, the school successfully recorded significant improvements over a five-year period, as evidenced by a surge in student numbers from 89 to 325, increased student academic and non-academic achievement, and increased teacher motivation and performance. Although elements of both situational and laissez-faire leadership styles emerged in some instances, they were not dominant and were more complementary. This demonstrates that transformational leadership can provide clear direction while creating a school climate conducive to student and teacher development. This success also demonstrates how a new Islamic school can build a positive reputation with the right leadership approach. In line with this, a strategy for increasing youth activities at mosques in Bangka Regency was also developed, including youth development through mosques, increasing the number and quality of members, strengthening relationships between mosque administrators and youth, fostering attitudes and behaviors, strengthening social activities, expanding organizational networks, developing types of activities, and utilizing digital technology. These efforts emphasize that appropriate leadership and development can be key to the success of educational institutions and religious organizations. Abstrak Studi ini menyoroti gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Islam Al Azhar 71 Pangkalpinang serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja guru dan prestasi siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional menjadi pendekatan paling dominan sekaligus efektif dalam mengembangkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut. Kepemimpinan transformasional tercermin melalui kharisma, motivasi inspirasional, stimulasi intelektual, serta perhatian individual yang diberikan kepala sekolah kepada guru dan siswa. Melalui pendekatan ini, sekolah berhasil mencatatkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kurun waktu lima tahun, yang terlihat dari lonjakan jumlah siswa dari 89 menjadi 325, bertambahnya prestasi akademik maupun non-akademik siswa, serta meningkatnya motivasi dan kinerja para guru. Meskipun dalam beberapa kondisi muncul elemen gaya kepemimpinan situasional maupun laissez-faire, namun keduanya tidak dominan dan lebih sebagai pelengkap. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional mampu memberikan arah yang jelas sekaligus menciptakan iklim sekolah yang kondusif bagi perkembangan siswa dan guru. Keberhasilan ini juga memperlihatkan bagaimana sekolah Islam baru dapat membangun reputasi positif dengan pendekatan kepemimpinan yang tepat. Sejalan dengan itu, formulasi strategi peningkatan aktivitas remaja masjid di Kabupaten Bangka turut dikembangkan, meliputi pembinaan remaja melalui masjid, peningkatan jumlah dan kualitas anggota, mempererat hubungan antara takmir dan remaja masjid, pembinaan sikap dan perilaku, penguatan kegiatan sosial, perluasan jaringan organisasi, pengembangan jenis aktivitas, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Upaya ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan dan pembinaan yang tepat dapat menjadi kunci keberhasilan lembaga pendidikan maupun organisasi keagamaan.

Abstract

The underlying problem of this research concerns internet addiction, a phenomenon that arises in the digital age. This is because students in this era have unlimited internet access, making them susceptible to the effects of internet addiction, such as irregular lifestyles that lead to neglect of school and homework. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the manifestation of synergy between homeroom teachers and parents in fostering students' morals to filter internet addiction at SMA N 1 Parittiga, and the factors that influence it. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study approach. Case study research is designed to emphasize the researcher's need to develop an in-depth analysis of a case, in this case, internet addiction among students at SMA N 1 Parittiga. The subjects of this study are homeroom teachers and parents. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification techniques. The conclusion of the research is that the manifestation of synergy between homeroom teachers and parents can be achieved by establishing empathetic communication to provide positive feedback and coordinate tasks and coordinate actions in systematic supervision, assertiveness, initiative, and establishing a commitment to children's gadget use by parents and homeroom teachers. Furthermore, commitment to creating a synergistic relationship is carried out through cooperation and a high level of trust. This includes consistency in shared rules, mutual contribution to supervision, and instilling a proactive, responsible spirit and mutually instilling values ​​of honesty between homeroom teachers and parents. Abstrak Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini mengenai adiksi internet yang timbul akibat fenomena yang terjadi di era digital. Hal tersebut karena peserta didik di era ini dapat mengakses internet tanpa batas yang mengakibatkan mereka mudah untuk terdampak adiksi internet seperti pola hidup yang tidak teratur mengakibatkan mereka lalai akan tugas sekolah dan rumah. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui manifesatasi sinergitas wali kelas dan orang tua dalam membina akhlak peserta didik untuk memfilterisasi adiksi internet di SMA N 1 Parittiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus di mana suatu penelitian yang didesain dalam menekankan kepada peneliti untuk mengembangkan suatu analisis yang mendalam terhadap suatu kasus, dalam hal ini adiksi internet pada peserta didik di SMA N 1 Parittiga. Objek penelitian ini yaitu wali kelas dan orang tua. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Kemuian dianalisa dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data.Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian bahwa manifestasi sinergitas wali kelas dan orang tua dapat dilakukan dengan menjalin komunikasi yang empatik agar saling memberikan feedback yang baik dan saling berkoordinasi untuk membagi tugas dan menyatukan tindakan dalam aspek pengawasan secara sistematis, ketegasan, inisiatif serta menjalin komitmen dengan anak yang dilakukan orang tua dan wali kelas dalam penggunaan gadget. Kemudian Komitmen dalam mewujudkan hubungan yang sinergis dilakukan dengan kerjasama dan kepercayaan yang tinggi. Hal tersebut meliputi konsistensi akan aturan bersama, saling berkontribusi daam pengawasan dan memanamkan jiwa yang proaktif, bertanggung jawab dan saling menanamkan nilai-nilai kejujuran antara wali kelas dan orang tua.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning, function, and development of calligraphy in Islam, as well as its role as a spiritual, educational, and moral medium. This study also aims to analyze the contribution of calligraphy in shaping the Islamic character of students, identify the moral values contained therein, and evaluate the relevance and challenges of developing calligraphy in the modern era, particularly in the context of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative method, a structured and systematic research method that aims to investigate, select, evaluate, and integrate relevant literature from various sources. This research also uses a library research approach that focuses on collecting and analyzing data from various literature sources, such as books, scientific journals, articles, official documents, and other relevant written sources. The analysis results indicate that calligraphy in Islam is a combination of visual beauty and deep spiritual meaning. This art serves as a means for da'wah, worship, and education. Since the early days of Islamic civilization, calligraphy has developed rapidly and reached extraordinary development during the Abbasid period, where figures such as Ibn Muqlah played an important role. In terms of education, calligraphy helps shape an individual's character through the practice of patience, discipline, and love for the Qur'an. Additionally, calligraphy teaches moral values such as monotheism, piety, and humility. In the modern era, calligraphy remains significant despite the emergence of technology and contemporary art, though it faces various challenges in its application. Therefore, support from educational institutions and society is essential to ensure that this art form remains alive as part of Islamic cultural and spiritual heritage. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengkaji makna, fungsi, dan perkembangan seni kaligrafi dalam Islam, serta peranannya sebagai media spiritual, pendidikan, dan moral. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi kaligrafi dalam membentuk karakter Islami siswa, mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung di dalamnya, serta mengevaluasi relevansi dan tantangan pengembangan kaligrafi di era modern, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Metode penelitian ini menggukan metode kualitatif, sebuah metode penelitian yang terstruktur dan sistematis yang bertujuan untuk menyelidiki, memilih, mengevaluasi, dan mengintegrasikan literatur yang relevan dari berbagai sumber, penelitian ini juga menggunakan pendekatan library research yang berfokus pada pengumpulan dan analisis data dari berbagai sumber literatur, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, artikel, dokumen resmi, dan sumber-sumber tertulis lainnya yang relevan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Seni kaligrafi di dalam Islam adalah kombinasi antara keindahan visual dan makna spiritual yang dalam. Seni ini berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk dakwah, ibadah, dan pendidikan. Sejak zaman awal peradaban Islam, kaligrafi telah berkembang dengan pesat dan mencapai perkembangan luar biasa pada masa Abbasiyah, di mana tokoh seperti Ibnu Muqlah memainkan peran penting. Dalam hal pendidikan, kaligrafi membantu membentuk karakter individu melalui latihan kesabaran, kedisiplinan, dan rasa cinta terhadap Al-Qur’an. Selain itu, kaligrafi juga mengajarkan nilai-nilai moral seperti tauhid, ketakwaan, dan kerendahan hati. Di zaman modern saat ini, kaligrafi tetap memiliki pentingnya dengan adanya teknologi dan seni kontemporer, meskipun menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam penerapannya. Oleh karena itu, dukungan dari lembaga pendidikan dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan agar seni ini tetap hidup sebagai bagian dari warisan budaya dan spiritual Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the school environment on students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample in this study was 43 grade X students who were selected proportionally from a population of 430 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study showed that the school environment consisting of physical, social, and academic aspects had a significant influence on students' learning motivation. A conducive environment has been proven to be able to increase students' learning motivation, as indicated by indicators of student activity, enthusiasm for learning, and participation in learning activities. This happens because the school environment creates a comfortable atmosphere, positive social interactions, and adequate facilities. The conclusion of this study is that the school environment has a positive effect on students' learning motivation, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education learning. This finding has an impact on the importance of effective school environment management as a strategy to improve the quality of learning. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 43 siswa kelas X yang dipilih secara proporsional dari populasi sebanyak 430 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah yang terdiri dari aspek fisik, sosial, dan akademis memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Lingkungan yang kondusif terbukti mampu meningkatkan dorongan belajar siswa, ditunjukkan melalui indikator keaktifan siswa, semangat belajar, dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Hal ini terjadi karena lingkungan sekolah menciptakan suasana yang nyaman, interaksi sosial yang positif, serta fasilitas yang memadai. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa lingkungan sekolah berpengaruh secara positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Temuan ini berdampak pada pentingnya pengelolaan lingkungan sekolah yang efektif sebagai strategi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran

Abstract

This research focuses on the study of Al-Farabi's educational thought and its relevance in the context of contemporary Islamic education. Using qualitative methods through a literature study approach, this research places Al-Farabi's monumental work, Iḥṣā’ al-‘Ulūm, as the primary source of analysis. Al-Farabi's thought is comprehensively examined through three main aspects: his intellectual background, the construction of the educational framework he offered, and the significance of his ideas for the development of Islamic education in the modern era. As a great philosopher dubbed the second teacher after Aristotle, Al-Farabi succeeded in synthesizing the Greek philosophical tradition with Islamic intellectual and spiritual values. He formulated a hierarchical and systematic educational curriculum system, starting with mastery of language as a tool of thought, continuing with logic, mathematics, natural sciences, metaphysics, and civil sciences such as politics, jurisprudence, and theology. The results of this study demonstrate Al-Farabi's view that education must develop gradually towards intellectual and moral perfection. According to Al-Farabi, the ultimate goal of education is to achieve true happiness (sa'ādah), a state of human perfection realized through the harmony of reason, morality, and action. This concept has strong relevance to contemporary Islamic education, particularly in the effort to shape the perfect human being (insān kāmil), balancing rationality and spirituality, and responding to global challenges through mastery of science and technology based on ethics. Thus, Al-Farabi's educational philosophy makes a significant contribution to strengthening the paradigm and practice of modern, holistic, values-oriented Islamic education. Abstrak Penelitian ini berfokus pada kajian pemikiran pendidikan Al-Farabi serta relevansinya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi pustaka, penelitian ini menempatkan karya monumental Al-Farabi, Iḥṣā’ al-‘Ulūm, sebagai sumber utama analisis. Pemikiran Al-Farabi dikaji secara komprehensif melalui tiga aspek utama, yaitu latar belakang intelektualnya, konstruksi kerangka pendidikan yang ia tawarkan, serta signifikansi gagasannya bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam di era modern. Sebagai seorang filsuf besar yang dijuluki guru kedua setelah Aristoteles, Al-Farabi berhasil mensintesiskan tradisi filsafat Yunani dengan nilai-nilai intelektual dan spiritual Islam. Ia merumuskan sistem kurikulum pendidikan yang bersifat hierarkis dan sistematis, dimulai dari penguasaan bahasa sebagai alat berpikir, dilanjutkan dengan logika, matematika, ilmu-ilmu alam, metafisika, hingga ilmu-ilmu sipil seperti politik, fikih, dan teologi.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pandangan Al-Farabi bahwa pendidikan harus berkembang secara bertahap menuju kesempurnaan intelektual dan moral. Menurut Al-Farabi, tujuan akhir pendidikan adalah mencapai kebahagiaan sejati (sa‘ādah), yaitu kondisi kesempurnaan manusia yang terwujud melalui harmonisasi antara akal, akhlak, dan tindakan. Konsep ini memiliki relevansi yang kuat dengan pendidikan Islam kontemporer, khususnya dalam upaya membentuk manusia paripurna (insān kāmil), menyeimbangkan rasionalitas dan spiritualitas, serta merespons tantangan global melalui penguasaan sains dan teknologi yang berlandaskan etika. Dengan demikian, filsafat pendidikan Al-Farabi memberikan kontribusi penting bagi penguatan paradigma dan praksis pendidikan Islam modern yang holistik dan berorientasi pada nilai.

Abstract

This study explores the phenomenon of Muslim and Muslimah fashion among today’s youth, focusing on its role in shaping religious identity and character education in the modern era. In recent years, the rise of social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram has contributed to the widespread popularity of “modest fashion” and “hijrah lifestyle” trends among young Muslims. However, many previous studies have primarily emphasized the aesthetic and commercial aspects of Islamic fashion, leaving a gap in understanding how clothing practices relate to moral and educational development. This research aims to address that gap by examining the connection between Islamic dress, youth identity, and the values of Islamic character education. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through literature review and analysis of social media content that reflects youth fashion behavior. The findings indicate that Muslim attire is not merely a matter of style but serves as a medium for self-expression, religious commitment, and social influence. Nevertheless, the study also reveals that some young people adopt Islamic dress for trend-related reasons without a deep understanding of its spiritual meaning. The implications suggest that educational institutions should integrate Islamic values into character education programs to balance external appearance with internal piety.
