Education Management: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (Edium) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di bawah naungan prodi manajemen pendidikan islam fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Parepare dengan ISSN 3047-244X, terbit dua kali dalam setahun juni dan desember. Jurnal ini memiliki fokus utama pada ruang lingkup manajemen lembaga pendidikan, kepemimpinan pendidikan, evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan, dan manajemen mutu pendidikan, jurnal ini bertujuan menyajikan kajian-kajian terkini dan pemikiran-pemikiran inovatif dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan konteks pendidikan islam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the archival management system at MA DDI Takkalasi and examine its role in supporting the effectiveness of educational documentation. Archival management has a strategic position in madrasah administration because it is a source of information, authentic evidence of activities, and a basis for decision-making. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design that combines literature review, direct observation, and document analysis to gain an in-depth understanding of archival practices. Primary data was obtained through observation of the processes of grouping, storing, organising, and retrieving documents, while secondary data was sourced from official madrasah administration archives. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, which included reduction, categorisation, and systematic interpretation of findings. The results of the study indicate that archive management at MA DDI Takkalasi has been carried out in a fairly systematic manner through the storage of academic documents, general administration, student archives, and learning activity documents. The archives function effectively in facilitating data retrieval, report preparation, programme planning, and institutional performance evaluation. However, archive management still faces obstacles such as the lack of standard operating procedures, limited storage facilities, and minimal document digitisation. Nevertheless, the madrasah has shown its commitment to improving the quality of its archives by revamping its storage system and strengthening administrative coordination. Overall, records management contributes significantly to supporting the smooth running of educational administration and improving the professionalism of services at MA DDI Takkalasi.

Abstract

This study analyzes the evaluation process and risk measurement in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at RA Arrahmah. The research addresses the limited understanding of how early childhood institutions identify and manage pedagogical and operational risks during the transition toward the Merdeka Curriculum. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum enhances children’s creativity and learning engagement; however, several risks emerge, including limited teacher readiness, inadequate learning media, and inconsistency in applying the principles of differentiated learning. A structured risk matrix reveals that key risks fall within medium to high levels, particularly those concerning resource limitations and pedagogical capacity. The study concludes that successful implementation requires systematic evaluation, continuous teacher development, and strengthened institutional risk management.

Abstract

This article examines adaptive strategies in change management implemented in madrasahs as Islamic educational institutions in their efforts to improve educational quality. In the face of globalization, technological advancement, and local socio-cultural dynamics, madrasahs are required to undergo institutional transformation without compromising their Islamic identity. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the dynamics of change, including driving factors, encountered challenges, and effective implementation strategies. The findings reveal that the success of change management in madrasahs is highly dependent on transformative leadership, active stakeholder participation, and a strong commitment to Islamic values and vision. The adaptive strategies applied enable madrasahs to remain relevant and competitive within the national education system while preserving the distinct characteristics of Islamic education. Abstract

Student management plays a crucial role in organizing students’ daily activities and shaping their disciplinary character in Islamic boarding schools that implement a 24-hour education system. This study aims to determine the implementation of student management, the level of students’ disciplinary character, and the contribution of student management to the development of disciplinary character. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, linearity testing, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination. The sample consisted of 85 students. The results show that the average score of the student management variable is 4.16 (high category), while the disciplinary character variable is 4.33 (very high category). The coefficient of determination of 0.335 indicates that student management contributes 33.5% to students’ disciplinary character, while the remaining 66.5% is influenced by other factors beyond this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of transformational leadership style by the Principal of MIS Muhamadiya 14 Talang Ulu in responding to the dynamics of educational change. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the principal can internalize the values of transformational leadership through inspiring vision communication, empowering teachers and staff, and encouraging technology-based and character-based learning innovations. The challenges faced include limited facilities and internal resistance to change, but are overcome through a collaborative approach and ongoing coaching. This study suggests the need for ongoing leadership training and strengthening of an adaptive madrasah organizational culture.
