Education Management: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (Edium) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di bawah naungan prodi manajemen pendidikan islam fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Parepare dengan ISSN 3047-244X, terbit dua kali dalam setahun juni dan desember. Jurnal ini memiliki fokus utama pada ruang lingkup manajemen lembaga pendidikan, kepemimpinan pendidikan, evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan, dan manajemen mutu pendidikan, jurnal ini bertujuan menyajikan kajian-kajian terkini dan pemikiran-pemikiran inovatif dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan konteks pendidikan islam.

Abstract

Job rotation is an effective method to enhance teachers’ work skills in educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of job rotation to improve teacher competency and productivity at MA YPK Cijulang. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data triangulation through interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings indicate that job rotation is applied flexibly based on employee requests rather than as a mandatory policy, and it effectively enhances work skills, reduces boredom, and broadens teacher knowledge. The implementation positively impacts employee motivation and operational efficiency, making it an effective human resource management strategy in the educational context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational marketing strategies of MANPK Jombang and MAN Insan Cendekia Pasuruan in addressing the challenges of increasing competition in the education sector. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. A SWOT analysis was conducted to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of both institutions. The findings reveal that MANPK Jombang emphasizes Islamic-based education, while MAN Insan Cendekia Pasuruan highlights science and technology-oriented education. Despite their different approaches, both institutions face challenges in technological adaptation and optimizing digital marketing strategies. This study concludes that implementing innovative digital marketing strategies, such as utilizing social media, interactive websites, and virtual tours, is crucial to enhancing competitiveness and attractiveness. Recommendations are provided to strengthen digital promotion to expand student enrollment outreach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing educational service marketing management on the competitiveness of MTs Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong amidst competition with other educational institutions. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, utilizing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the traditional marketing strategies implemented, such as promotion through print media, drumband parades, and door-to-door visits, have not been sufficiently effective in increasing the number of new applicants. Digital marketing through platforms like Instagram and Facebook has been initiated, but its management remains suboptimal. Internal factors, such as limited educational facilities and teacher competency, as well as external factors, including the presence of other educational institutions with student shuttle programs and strengths in religious-based education, also influence the school's competitiveness. This study recommends the integration of better-managed digital marketing strategies and improvements in the quality of educational services to strengthen the school's competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse strategies for optimising school administration in order to improve the quality of educational services. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study methodology, which is suitable for exploring administrative practices and strategies in depth. The strategies analysed include human resource recruitment and training, the digitisation of administration, headteacher leadership, and workload evaluation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of these strategies can improve the management of archives and documents, expedite administrative services for teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders, and enhance the satisfaction of all parties. School administration optimisation not only streamlines operations but also directly contributes to improving the quality of education and the school’s competitiveness.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of administrative workload on lecturers’ teaching quality at IAIN Curup, focusing on optimizing human resource management. The research addresses the empirical gap regarding how administrative duties affect teaching performance in Islamic higher education institutions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining in-depth interviews with lecturers and administrators and a survey of 50 lecturers. Findings indicate that excessive administrative tasks disrupt lecturers’ focus, reduce teaching quality, and lower time management efficiency. The study highlights the importance of HRM strategies that include proportional distribution of administrative duties, digitalization, and participatory and collaborative approaches involving lecturers in workload-related decision-making. Implementing these strategies is expected to enhance teaching quality, lecturer well-being, and institutional efficiency.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role and utilization of digital information technology in improving learning quality and educational management, focusing on integration strategies that preserve the identity of Islamic education. Using a descriptive qualitative method through literature review, the study identifies digital technology practices, implementation challenges, and strategic solutions. Findings indicate that e-learning, digital administration, and interactive platforms enhance efficiency, accessibility, and student engagement. Key challenges include limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among teachers and students, and cultural resistance. The study emphasizes a holistic approach combining infrastructure development, ongoing teacher training, and adaptive digital curriculum design, enabling madrasahs and pesantrens to equip students with digital skills while maintaining Islamic educational values

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the teacher professional  development program at SDN Caturtunggal 4 Yogyakarta in order to improve the competence and quality of learning. The research used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation studies. The results show that professional development is carried out through various forms of training, such as Teacher Working Group (KKG) activities, webinars, Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG), and internal school training called "Senin Berbagi". This program provides a space to systematically share good practices between teachers. In addition, teachers' needs in mastering educational technology, understanding the latest curriculum and improving social skills were found. Although the program has a positive impact on teaching quality, challenges such as time constraints and low motivation remain. As a solution, the school replicates the training results by teachers who have participated in external training. The findings emphasize the importance of sustainable and collaborative professional development policies to deal with the dynamics of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the strategic role of educational leadership in maintaining national identity through the integration of technology and local wisdom in Indonesian primary schools. The study also highlights the gap in technology access between urban and rural areas and the challenges in curriculum development that can harmonize local cultural values with digital advancements. Using the literature review method, this study analyzes various literatures to understand the contribution of educational leadership to integrative policies that favor the preservation of national identity in the digital era. The findings show that educational leadership plays a central role in designing policies that not only encourage the use of technology, but also instill noble values of national culture. However, there are still significant barriers such as limited digital infrastructure, lack of locality-based teacher training, and lack of community involvement in curriculum formulation. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening inclusive policies, equitable technology investment, contextual teacher training and close collaboration with local communities to realize basic education that is firmly rooted in the nation's culture while being adaptive to the times.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how Qur’anic principles can operationally foster a harmonious, productive, and sustainable team culture. This qualitative research employs a library research approach with thematic analysis, using the Qur’an as the primary source and relevant literature as secondary sources. The findings reveal six key principles: (1) ukhuwah Islamiyah, (2) shura (mutual consultation), (3) justice and non-discrimination, (4) amanah and responsibility, (5) tazkiyah al-nafs (self-purification), and (6) evaluation and  collective reflection. These principles provide a normative framework for building Islamic value-based collaborative teams with practical applicability in educational institutions. The  study underscores that teamwork development is not only an operational strategy but also amoral and spiritual obligation in Islamic education management.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in improving the quality of education in madrasahs. SBM provides autonomy to madrasahs in managing resources, decision-making, and actively involving all stakeholders. A descriptive qualitative approach using literature review was employed, with literature selected purposively based on relevance, credibility, and recency. Findings indicate that SBM enhances effectiveness, efficiency, and community participation, while challenges include limited budgets, human resource capacity, and cultural resistance. Strengthening strategies involve continuous training, technology utilization, transparency improvement, and consistent policy support. Systematic and coordinated implementation of SBM can foster autonomous, professional, and high-performing madrasahs.
