Education Management: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (Edium) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di bawah naungan prodi manajemen pendidikan islam fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Parepare dengan ISSN 3047-244X, terbit dua kali dalam setahun juni dan desember. Jurnal ini memiliki fokus utama pada ruang lingkup manajemen lembaga pendidikan, kepemimpinan pendidikan, evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan, dan manajemen mutu pendidikan, jurnal ini bertujuan menyajikan kajian-kajian terkini dan pemikiran-pemikiran inovatif dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan konteks pendidikan islam.

Abstract

One way to enhance teachers' work skills in educational institutions is through job rotation. This allows teachers to experience new roles and gain additional experience, ultimately maximizing their work skills. This study aims to analyze job rotation in improving the work skills of teachers at MA YPK Cijulang. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with triangulation techniques for data collection. The results show that Madrasah Aliyah (MA) YPK Cijulang has implemented job rotation as an effort to enhance employee skills. However, MA YPK Cijulang does not enforce job rotation as a mandatory policy due to insufficient support from all the staff at the institution. Instead, job rotation is applied upon the request of the employees. This means there is no coercion in the job rotation process, and employee performance can still be well-managed. Overall, job rotation can be implemented at any time, without a specific time frame, and is flexible based on employee requests. The implementation of job rotation has shown positive impacts on employees, such as improved work skills, reduced job boredom, and the acquisition of new knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational marketing strategies of MANPK Jombang and MAN Insan Cendekia Pasuruan in addressing the challenges of increasing competition in the education sector. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. A SWOT analysis was conducted to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of both institutions. The findings reveal that MANPK Jombang emphasizes Islamic-based education, while MAN Insan Cendekia Pasuruan highlights science and technology-oriented education. Despite their different approaches, both institutions face challenges in technological adaptation and optimizing digital marketing strategies. This study concludes that implementing innovative digital marketing strategies, such as utilizing social media, interactive websites, and virtual tours, is crucial to enhancing competitiveness and attractiveness. Recommendations are provided to strengthen digital promotion to expand student enrollment outreach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing educational service marketing management on the competitiveness of MTs Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong amidst competition with other educational institutions. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, utilizing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the traditional marketing strategies implemented, such as promotion through print media, drumband parades, and door-to-door visits, have not been sufficiently effective in increasing the number of new applicants. Digital marketing through platforms like Instagram and Facebook has been initiated, but its management remains suboptimal. Internal factors, such as limited educational facilities and teacher competency, as well as external factors, including the presence of other educational institutions with student shuttle programs and strengths in religious-based education, also influence the school's competitiveness. This study recommends the integration of better-managed digital marketing strategies and improvements in the quality of educational services to strengthen the school's competitiveness.

Abstract

Effective and efficient administration in schools is an important aspect in supporting the success of the educational process. However, at SMPN 2 Parepare, there are several obstacles in the implementation of administration, such as a lack of administrative staff, the absence of the head of administration, disorganized accumulation of archives, and unequal distribution of tasks. These problems have an impact on slow administrative services and the quality of education received by students and teachers. Therefore, efforts are needed to optimize administrative implementation through strategies including recruitment and training of human resources, digitalization, school principal leadership and workload evaluation. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on case studies, which is very relevant for explaining strategies for optimizing school administration in improving the quality of educational services. With these strategies, archive and document management becomes neater, administrative services to teachers, students, parents and stakeholders become more responsive, and all parties' satisfaction with school services can increase. In the end, optimizing administration in schools not only supports smooth operations, but also contributes directly to creating a better and more competitive quality of education.

Abstract

Although the issue of lecturers' administrative workload has been widely discussed, there is still limited research that directly examines its impact within the context of Islamic higher education institutions. This study aims to explore the influence of administrative workload on the teaching quality of lecturers at IAIN Curup, with a focus on optimizing human resource management to improve teaching effectiveness. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines qualitative data from in-depth interviews with lecturers and administrators, and quantitative data collected through a survey of 50 lecturers at IAIN Curup. The qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, while the quantitative data were analyzed using simple regression techniques. The findings indicate that excessive administrative duties disrupt lecturers' concentration during the teaching process, negatively impact teaching quality, and reduce time management efficiency. Based on these findings, the study recommends a more balanced distribution of administrative tasks, the use of digital technology for streamlining administrative processes, and stronger institutional support in human resource management. Abstract

Abstract: Digital transformation has significantly influenced the educational system, including madrasah and pesantren. This study aims to analyze the role and utilization of digital information technology in improving the quality of learning and educational management in madrasah and pesantren. Using a descriptive qualitative method through literature review, the rresearch to overcome them. The findings show that digital technologies, such as e-learning and digital based administration, enhance educational efficiency and accessibility. However, challenges like recommended to focus on developing suitable technology training models for educators in madrasah and pesantren environments. Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher professional development at SDN Caturtunggal 4 to improve competence and education quality. A descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document reviews. The results indicate that teacher professional development is implemented through training organized by the education department, teacher working groups (KKG), webinars, and teacher professional education programs (PPG). Additionally, initiatives like "Senin Berbagi" are applied to share best practices within the school. The findings also reveal teachers' needs for mastering educational technology, understanding the latest curriculum, and enhancing social skills. This professional development positively impacts teachers' abilities to use innovative teaching methods, including information technology, to meet students' needs. However, challenges such as time constraints and lack of motivation persist. To address these, the school applies internal training and knowledge dissemination by trained teachers. In conclusion, teacher professional development at SDN Caturtunggal 4 enhances teaching quality but requires more inclusive policies and sustainable programs. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explore the strategic role of educational leadership in maintaining national identity through the integration of technology and local wisdom in Indonesian primary schools. The study also highlights the gap in technology access between urban and rural areas and the challenges in curriculum development that can harmonize local cultural values with digital advancements. Using the literature review method, this study analyzes various literatures to understand the contribution of educational leadership to integrative policies that favor the preservation of national identity in the digital era. The findings show that educational leadership plays a central role in designing policies that not only encourage the use of technology, but also instill noble values of national culture. However, there are still significant barriers such as limited digital infrastructure, lack of locality-based teacher training, and lack of community involvement in curriculum formulation. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening inclusive policies, equitable technology investment, contextual teacher training and close collaboration with local communities to realize basic education that is firmly rooted in the nation's culture while being adaptive to the times.

Abstract

Collaborative teamwork development in Islamic education management is an important aspect in creating a positive work environment in school development. Collaborative teamwork development can help improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity and achieve common goals in the organization. The purpose of this study is to explore the verses of the Qur'an on Collaborative Teamwork Development in Islamic Education Management. This type of research is a qualitative study using a literature review. This study uses a thematic approach, combining several verses of the Qur'an that discuss Collaborative Teamwork Development in improving work efficiency and effectiveness. The primary data source in this study is the Qur'an. While secondary data is taken from books, journal articles, websites related to the discussion. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The results of the study show that Collaborative Teamwork Development in Islamic Education Management: (1) Instilling Ukhuwah Values; (2) Deliberation in decision making; (3) Fair and non-discriminatory; (4) Trust and responsibility; (5) Cleansing the soul (Tazkiyah al-Nafs) and (6) Evaluation and mutual reflection. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of developing collaborative work teams to create a healthy work environment.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in improving the quality of education in madrasah. MBS is an approach that gives autonomy to madrasah in managing resources, making decisions, and actively involving all stakeholders. By implementing SBM, madrasahs can develop programs that suit local needs, increase community participation, and create more effective and efficient learning. The madrasah head, teachers and staff play an important role in planning, implementing and evaluating education programs. Despite challenges such as limited budgets, human resources and organizational culture, SBM has proven to have a positive impact on education quality if implemented consistently and integrated. Strategies for strengthening SBM include continuous training, increasing transparency and accountability, utilizing technology, and policy support from the government. With the involvement of all parties and proper management, SBM is a strategic step towards an independent, professional and highly competitive madrasah.
