Education Management: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (Edium) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di bawah naungan prodi manajemen pendidikan islam fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Parepare dengan ISSN 3047-244X, terbit dua kali dalam setahun juni dan desember. Jurnal ini memiliki fokus utama pada ruang lingkup manajemen lembaga pendidikan, kepemimpinan pendidikan, evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan, dan manajemen mutu pendidikan, jurnal ini bertujuan menyajikan kajian-kajian terkini dan pemikiran-pemikiran inovatif dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan konteks pendidikan islam.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar di Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso. Pondok pesantren DDI Mangkoso termasuk dalam tipe D yang menggabungkan sistem pesantren dan madrasah. Kurikulum yang digunakan adalah perpaduan antara kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum pesantren. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi kurikulum Merdeka serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses implementasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso telah mengintegrasikan kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum pesantren dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, terdapat kendala-kendala dalam implementasi kurikulum ini, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan akses teknologi, adaptasi guru dengan pendekatan baru, serta perbedaan bakat dan minat siswa. Meskipun demikian, pondok pesantren DDI Mangkoso melakukan upaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut agar dapat mengoptimalkan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar di Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso telah memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan pendidikan dengan memperkaya proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan siswa. Meskipun masih terdapat kendala dalam implementasinya, pondok pesantren ini terus berupaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The dynamics of implementing educational activities in Indonesia need to be improved. For this improvement, the participation of school community members is necessary so that all existing dynamics can be handled as effectively as possible. Therefore, management and its functions need to be applied in the participation of school community members and the public so that educational activity programs can run effectively and efficiently. This research aims to determine the implementation of participatory management at SMP Pelita Harapan. The researcher used a qualitative method in the data collection process, which includes observation, interviews, and the distribution or filling out of questionnaires with the target being school community members. The observation was conducted to review the process of implementing participatory management directly at SMP Pelita Harapan. Interviews were conducted with members of the SMP Pelita Harapan community to find out their responses regarding the implementation of participatory management at the school. The distribution of questionnaires to school community members, containing statements with response classifications such as strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree, was done to obtain more detailed information or data regarding the implementation of participatory management at SMP Pelita Harapan. The results of the research show that the implementation of participatory management at SMP Pelita Harapan is quite good, but there is a need for improvement in some aspects that hinder the implementation of participatory management, such as a lack of teachers, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and others. It is the responsibility of the school principal to address these dynamics by involving the school community so that participatory management at SMP Pelita Harapan can be carried out effectively.

Abstract

This study analyzes human resource management at SMA Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK Kartasura to enhance the quality of education. A qualitative descriptive method with interactive analysis was employed, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subject was the Head of HRD, while the object covered the school’s overall HR management. Results show that teacher recruitment and selection were conducted via administrative screening, micro teaching, and interviews; regular training was provided each semester; salaries and benefits were adjusted according to experience; and dismissals were carried out in stages from SP 1 to SP 4. This HR management implementation effectively supports the improvement of teacher and staff performance and strengthens the overall effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

The study emphasizes the importance of Islamic values-based leadership in navigating challenges and leveraging the potential of digital technology effectively. The aim is to analyze how Islamic leadership principles can be applied in digital education to create an inclusive, equitable, and pride-enhancing learning environment. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study focus was employed, allowing in-depth analysis of Islamic values based leadership practices in digital educational institutions. Findings indicate that leaders grounded in Islamic values effectively lead with integrity, facilitate collaboration, and integrate technology to enhance educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing students’ comprehension delays and the learning strategies implemented to address them. A qualitative research method was used, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings indicate two main factors affecting comprehension delays: limited knowledge and student behavior. Implemented strategies include regular study programs, Tilawah Tahfidz Qur’an (TiTiQ), Camp Training at Darul Qur’an, Adab Class, Seven Habits (7 Habits), Core Values, and extracurricular activities. These strategies are expected to reduce comprehension delays and enhance students’ cognitive, character, and spiritual development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe conflict management and job satisfaction and analyze the relationship between conflict management and job satisfaction of teaching and education staff in State Madrasah Aliyah throughout Bandung City. The approach used is quantitative with descriptive correlational analysis methods. The data in this study was obtained through the results of distributing a questionnaire using a Likert scale model consisting of four alternative answer choices given to 40 respondents. Based on the results of conflict management research, it is included in the medium category, namely 3.37 from the results of data processing. The job satisfaction of teaching and education staff is categorized as moderate, namely 3.27 from the results of data processing. Based on the results of the correlation calculation between variable So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between employee job satisfaction management in State Madrasah Aliyah throughout Bandung City. The results of the correlation test calculation show that the significance of conflict management of madrasa heads with teacher performance is 0.001 < 0.05. The results of the correlation test are positive, which means that if conflict management is further improved, employee job satisfaction will also increase. Then, from the results of the coefficient of determination test, it was obtained (R square) of 0.385, which means that the conflict management variable with employee job satisfaction has a contribution of 38.5%.

Abstract

This study analyses the application of strategic management in improving the quality of education. The method employed was a literature review, involving the collection of data from various sources including journals, books and articles. The findings indicate that effective strategic management encompasses various key elements such as creating a sense of urgency, the use of new curricula and programmes, the setting of ambitious goals, and a more selective student admission process. Furthermore, appropriate learning strategies and additional support for students experiencing difficulties have also been shown to improve academic achievement. Strategic management in education requires environmental analysis, strategy formulation, proper implementation, as well as continuous evaluation and control.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of academic services at Madrasah Aliyah Darul 'Ulum Ath-Thahiriyah, Paladang, Pinrang Regency. Using a qualitative approach through interviews, observation, and documentation, this study assesses important aspects of academic service management, such as the importance of academic services, their influence on academic achievement, collaboration between related parties, and evaluations. The results show that academic service management at this madrasah includes curriculum planning in accordance with Islamic values, the development of innovative teaching methods, and monitoring student learning progress. Effective academic services can improve the quality of education at the madrasah by supporting student character development..

Abstract

School principal leadership plays a crucial role in improving the quality of Islamic education at MTs Salafiyah Wiradesa. This study aims to analyze the strategies and actions undertaken by the principal to enhance learning quality. The research uses a qualitative approach with Miles and Huberman data analysis, including data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation, followed by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate that the principal organizes and assigns teacher duties according to qualifications and certification alignment, fosters a conducive learning environment, optimizes school facilities, and leads structured religious activity programs. This leadership implementation effectively improves learning quality, teacher and student discipline, and overall school management efficiency.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Independent Curriculum management initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The Independent Curriculum aims to provide flexibility for schools and teachers in developing a curriculum that suits students' needs and potential. This study uses a qualitative approach with case study methods in several schools in various regions in Indonesia. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers and educational observers, as well as analysis of curriculum documents and implementation reports. The research results show that Independent Curriculum management provides greater freedom for teachers in developing innovative teaching materials and learning methods. However, there are significant challenges in implementation, including a lack of training and assistance for teachers, limited resources, and differences in understanding of curriculum concepts at the school level. This research suggests the need to increase teacher capacity through continuous training, provision of adequate resources, and development of a comprehensive evaluation system to ensure the quality of learning in accordance with the objectives of the Independent Curriculum.
