Abstract

The development of industrial construction requires adequate resources to avoid the failure and risk of the project. The resources required are materials (building materials), human resources (human resources), machines (equipment), capital (money), methods (methods of implementation), timing, and information on the implementation of the construction. According to data from the Central Statistical Agency (BPS), wages of labor in Indonesia of Rs. 2.89 million increased by 1.12% by 2022. In addition, the price of construction materials has also increased, such as steel, steel bones, concrete, and other construction materials. Especially steel price increases, starting in the second year of the pandemic, have risen about 30%–40%. Generally, the construction of factory buildings uses more steel profiles for the construction of warehouses—storage of raw materials or warehousing of production sites. This has a huge impact on the project budget that has been estimated prior to material price fluctuations. Therefore, the re-evaluation of the project budget in PT. XYZ, which has been estimated by the company at Rp. 219.5 billion, has a total budget change to Rp. 276.1 billion.

Abstract

Environmental pollution is still an issue that cannot be ignored. This type of waste causes environmental pollution due to its large and difficult to be recycled is Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic. So it is important to make an effort to utilize the plastic. On the other hand in the world of construction, the use of concrete increases every day causing the need for many new material sources in order to cover the needs of concrete mixtures. One of the abundant sources of aggregate is East Kalimantan aggregate but has not been used much. so combining East Kalimantan aggregate and PET plastic as a concrete constituent material becomes interesting to be analyzed, especially to determine the characteristics of the flexural strength of concrete. The flexural strength is based on SNI 03-4431-2011 method and tested at the age of 14 and 28 days. PET plastic chopped to a size of 5 cm long and 1-3 mm wide with variations 0.5%; 0.65%; and 0.8% of the weight of sand. The total number of samples is 24 blocks size of 15 × 15 × 60 cm. The results indicate that the flexural strength characteristics of concrete using local East Kalimantan aggregates and using PET plastic as a partial substitute for fine aggregate increased as the number of PET substitutions. Concrete without PET plastic has 3.187 MPa. In comparison with to normal concrete, 0.5% PET substitution increased by 3.07%, 0.65% PET variation increased by 3.63% and 0.8% PET variation increased by 4.32%.

Abstract

The large amount of infrastructure used causes less green land for rainwater absorption, so that rain that falls on the ground is not absorbed optimally. The resulting surface runoff is more than the amount of water absorbed. To overcome this, the method is to reduce the use of impermeable land cover (concrete pavement) and replace it with appropriate surface land cover. One of the efforts made is the use of pervious paving to reduce surface runoff and increase infiltration. This test aims to determine how much infiltration rate and capacity occurs when using paving block cover with variations in embankment soil. This research uses quantitative methods with an experimental approach using an artificial rain simulator. The soil used in this research is soil sourced from Lubuk Alung, Sarik River and Mount Sarik. The paving blocks used are in the form of hexagons which are usually used as ground surface pavement. Infiltration testing carried out several analyzes namely infiltration rate, infiltration capacity and cumulative infiltration. The results of this research show that good infiltration is the Sarik River landfill with the use of paving block cover, the infiltration rate value is 0.619-0.112 cm/minute, the infiltration capacity is 6.18 cm/hour, the cumulative infiltration is 8.97 and runoff occurs in the second minute. 09 and the chart intersects at the 30th minute. The results of infiltration testing using an artificial rain simulator showed that the use of paving block cover can increase infiltration thereby reducing the occurrence of run off.

Abstract

In the world of construction in the development sector, arrangements regarding cost, quality, and completion time of construction work are bound in the work contract and are decided before the construction work is carried out. This study aims to find out the total time and costs after adding working hours and knowing the comparison of time and costs from the initial plan with what has been done with additional working hours. Planning and control is something that cannot be explained in carrying out a project, this implementation requires a long time and serious effort and it depends on effective control. This research will speed up the schedule for the construction of the Karangrejo District Office Building project using the crashing method. From the results of the analysis and calculations described above, it can be concluded that the construction project for the Karangrejo District Office Building's total costs and project time under normal conditions is IDR 2,572,500,000 with a normal duration of 189 days. After adding 3 hours of overtime work, a total cost of Rp. 2,817,500,000 was obtained by consuming an accelerated duration of 180 days. In terms of project costs, applying acceleration by adding a 3-hour overtime system has increased costs by IDR 25,000,000 or more expensive than the normal project costs. Meanwhile, the duration experienced an increase of 4.70% or 9 days faster than the initial normal project duration.
